So similar to Penny and Secretariat with unbridled love for each other! Zenny has such a sense of humor as do many mares but these two are so special with their bond!!
Zenny also got a kick out of pulling on John’s cap, I remember those funny photos. She loves rearranging Ann’s hair and knows she can whenever the mood strikes. Such a loving relationship these two have.
I so enjoy these pictures of Zenyatta. I look forward to seeing a new post on my Facebook page and then coming to see all the pictures. It makes my day. She is such a beautiful horse and it brings me happiness to see how well she is taken care of. i am looking forward to spring and her new bundle of joy. Can’t wait. And I just love seeing her with Ann. They do have a special bond don’t they?
What a nice surprise!
More wonderful photos of Ann and Zenyatta — thank you Alys for your camera work, and thanks to Ann, Z, and Lane’s End, too.
I adore the “hat trick”!! This is too cute. ?
Reminds me of Zenyatta’s early days (via Dottie) as a hairdresser! What an extraordinary relationship Ann and Zenyatta have, and how it has enriched all of our lives!
Beautiful Zen knows the difference between caps and carrots! Love these photos of love. My Favorite horse, always and ever ♡ Lucky girl, Ann! Enjoy for all of us :)
Hi Sandy. Please are you using askey codes to put your symbols in? Or how are you doing it? My smartphone doesn’t have anything but about 7 or 8 smiley faces :-( Thanks, Cheryl
Merry Christmas Ann, Jerry and the Zenyatta team…what great pictures of the Queen. She is ever so beautiful. My only wish besides a safe delivery of Zenny’s new foal … would be to have an update on Cozmic One and Ziconic…haven’t heard anything more about their training or upcoming races…..any chance of getting news???
“Give me that hat Mom, I want to play with your hair”! LOL. I laughed out loud when I saw this photo. Thank you so much for sharing and giving us all these smiles. Love to all.
Oh, these are just the best photos ever. Alys, you have great timing. Love, love these. Thank you so very much. Great to see Z and her Ann having so much fun together. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy,
Hope you have a wonderful evening. Here the birds, bunnies, miscreant squirrels and roadrunner are all tucked in for the cold night. Stay warm, with love, Elizabeth
Thank you Alys for sharing these wonderful pics of Queen Z and Ann!! My personal favorite is the 4th pic down – Zenny smiling holding Ann’s hat. LOLOL….. It makes my heart smile looking at these pics. My love to the Queen and the team!
Dear Ann, Alys and Zenny,
Thank you for these fun photos. My week was filled with way too much elevator music and remaining on hold. Like waiting in the starting gate, huh, Z?
After checking the Z blog, life is MUCH better!
You ladies are terrific.
Love to all……..Run Miss Temple City!
The Indian way to handle tension and worry is to spend time alone in meditation. Touch the earth and see the sky, look at the stars that you never in the world could count. Listen to the night bird sing and hear the tree toad’s croaking song. Hear the hounds in the woods baying and the squalling of owls. These are basic things, common things, gentle things. Meditate on these. Close out the negative things of the world-the sensational and the shallow, the thoughtless words, offended airs, lofty attitudes. Let them pass as nothing, which they are. Close the door of your heart to all that is negative, and open it to the peace that passes all understanding. Let that peace rest your body, mind, and spirit.
Let everything be washed out, wiped out, and let there be no more blood.

Oh,now I am getting to see these wonderful new set of photos and your love of mama’s hat.A joy always.Thank you for sharing as always Team Z,Love and hugs Sheena.
I am a “lurker” here, but so enjoy the wonderful photos and your comments.
I wanted to share that I was just in Saratoga Springs for their annual Victorian Streetwalk where they close the downtown to traffic so people can wander about and enjoy the tree lighting and Santa’s arrival (by horse-drawn carriage, of course), plus free hot chocolate, cider, and cookies — a wonderful first-time experience for us Saratoga track lovers.
The Zenyatta connection is that we had dinner in the restaurant at Longfellows, which is a few miles east of the track and, as you are walking out to leave the dining area, there is a most gorgeous head painting of Zenyatta on the wall, it takes your breath away. I remember seeing it before, but had forgotten.
If you are ever in that area, be sure to at least walk into the entrance so you can see it. You’ll know her by her ears :)
Happy Holidays, everyone. BTW, we were there for Zenny’s induction into the Hall of Fame. What a great experience!!!!
Thank you for this information. Sounds like a great holiday treat in Saratoga Springs!
I now want to go to Longfellows, too. The painting sounds beautiful, but with Zenny as the subject, it would have to be gorgeous.
How great that you were there for the Hall of Fame induction!
Dear Kathy. Now I am getting my breath back after the Becher Chase gutted Highland Lodge and Henry Brooke got caught on the line.Amberleigh House was parading before the races. He won the Grand National in 2004 and lives now in Newmarket,Altior won his race but a few dodgy jumps improved as he warmed up.Talk of him being Henderson’s next superstar. We had a few fallers over the National fences but all horses were fine. The only time I understood the meaning of the peace that passeth all understanding was the night before my father died.I have always tended to be pessimistic I must rid myself of negative thoughts.I am waiting now to see Sprinter parading before the Tingle Creek. He won the ROA racehorse of the year and the chaser award as well Catriona has come over from Ireland to see him.Valegro’s big day at Olympia will be on the BBC red button service also online(dec 14th)..A perfect day for NH and a fox was walking across the course at Sandown. Not so cold here today. This time last year Storm Desmond hit the north west and we had balmy temps.Wonderful proklamashun from President Fibbs about the Wimbley liberry and him being proclaimed Poet Laureate. There was a rather large doughnut in the White House last caught by the internal cameras.I think Mango is moving next week Nay even packed the tin opener by mistake.I remember Fubu had a girlfriend called Lucy Lu but I cannot even find her anymore.Big election in Austria tomorrow. Many Clouds running now.His 1st of the season after a wind-op.Hope you have a lovely day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Welcome back! Sounds like you’ve been enjoying some great races and parades! President Fibbs is squeaky clean and I was so glad to get the heads up that all liberries will be known as the Wimbley Liberry. I must remember to say that when I answer our phone! I hope Mango and family will be in this new home for a long time. We may never hear from Fubu again. I remember Lucy Lu. Sad to lose track of them. Zoe’s Zoeism for today is just beautiful. Have a very happy Saturday. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Waiting for news of Minella Rocco who has a nasty fall at Aintree. He is by Shirocco out of an Alleged mare.He has just got up I heard a tired fall.Barry stayed with him to keep him quiet so he could recover. Many Clouds jumped them all into submission and I have seen the god that is Sprinter Sacre looking superb in the winter sunshine.
Fabulous to see Rocky Creek rolling back the years in the London National. Now rising 11 and carrying 11st 12lbs he showed the youngsters a thing or two.
