Ziconic Begins His New Career

Dear Fans,

I am delighted to share with you that Ziconic is moving on to his next career as an Off-The-Track-Thoroughbred! I couldn’t be happier that he now has a new home and is being welcomed into the loving arms of Linda Moss (Cousins of the Heart) and her husband, George Bedar.

Filled with enthusiasm, Linda remarks, “George and I are so incredibly honored and over the moon to have the opportunity to provide for Ziconic and to take the journey with him in the coming chapters of his life as an OTTB. This is the stuff dreams are made of, and having him join our family is beyond words.”

Ziconic will also be joining his Mom’s stablemate Milyone (also a Moss horse trained by John Shirreffs) at Templeton Farms, a Sporthorse Farm in California. We have known Linda and George since they welcomed Milyone, who has now been under their very special care for seven years.

It is our belief that horses let you know what they like to do. As Ziconic settles into his new home and new program, it will become clear what he is destined for. We are confident that Linda and George will be there to ensure that he can enjoy life and thrive.

We look forward to Ziconic becoming an Ambassador for Off-The-Track-Thoroughbreds in California and beyond, just as Cozmic One has become an OTTB Ambassador based in Kentucky.

Linda & George recently shared two things that they have already noticed about Ziconic: He is very proud of himself, and he ALWAYS knows where the camera is!

We look forward to continuing to update you on Ziconic’s transition, his new Team members, and his new happy life.

    I am so happy for Ziconic and his new career. I especially love that he will represent Zenyatta in such a special way. It is important that horses like people find their own way in this life and most important that they are happy doing it. The treasure we receive is that Zenyatta has brought us so much joy in unexpected ways. Because of Zenyatta’s influence there has been so much progress for OTTB’S which was very needed. Thanks so much for update. I look forward to hearing more about his new career. I am sure his life will flourish as Cozmic One’s has. They are 2 special sons of the great Zenyatta and I love them dearly. Zenyatta is the gift that keeps on giving. I cannot wait to hear more about their sister Zellda and how she maps out her own special jourrney. I am sure she is a real classy sweetheart who seems to have her mother’s sense of humor. Her birthday photos were adorable. Best of luck to all. Zenyatta has given us so many wonderful gifts, I hope she is doing well, she means so much to me and so many other’s. She is simply adored by all!

    Ziconic always appeared so regal, confident and game, it will be awesome to see the direction his life takes. Years ago I obtained a 17 hand gelding whom I thought would make an incredible Eventing horse, as he was tally, leggy and athletic. BUT he HATED fences. I didn’t think he had the focus for Dressage but since fences were out, we did footwork, and he LOVED it. He became so “fancy” at his moves people would screech to a halt when they drove by the arena when I worked him. The attention and the love of continual learning is what I think appealed to him. You never know where they “fit” until you try all the different routes. GOD bless Ziconic, Zenyatta, Coz, Ella.

    This is such wonderful news and so happy for Ziconic and Ann. I was hoping that he would start a new career as an OTTB like his big brother, Cozzie. So, he is very proud of himself and always knows where the camera is. Hmmm… wonder where he gets that, lol. Thank you, and I look forward to further updates.

    Oh happy day! Zenyatta boy in California!!! Where??? He looks like a happy horse already! And so photogenic! He will be so loved and cared for! Can’t wait to see what he does next!!! Thank you for keeping us all up to date on Zenyatta and her babies!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Hi Ann, thanks for the news on Zi aka beautiful boy! So glad things are working out for him and Coz their happiness is everthing! I know everyone is waiting to hear whats going on with Zenyatta too. I know this is about Zi but always link her and her babies together. Please keep us up dated on all their lives and progress.     Thank-you so much!!!! The best news ever!!!! Maybe, seeing he likes to dance, is beautiful, proud, and loves the camera; maybe dressage is in his future. I know they will find out what’s best for him. The important thing is he is with people who already love him, and he has only good things ahead for him. He has been my favorite since he was born, and I was so worried for him, and afraid he would be shipped out of the country. What a relief!!!! Have a good time, and show them what you can do Ziconic. Thank-you so very much, again!!!!

    Dear Ann, many many thanks for the update on Ziconic, been following this every day for years, laughing & cheering & worrying along w/ everyone here. Very uplifting reading the
    comments & encouragement from all, & all the info regarding Zenyatta (what a horse) & her foals.
