Dear Peggy. Thanks for the good news of Tasty’s colt. His mum would be so proud of him,Maybe a win next.Hugs Sheena
Peggy (N) South Georgia
Sheena, so love the word mum. My Supervisor is British so I am use to hearing it all the time. Just love it said that way. I think Tasty would be very proud of her boy too. I am forgetting, he is her only one isn’t he. I was a little worried about his being run back so soon. It’s only been a few weeks since his last race. But, he sure looked good.

Dear Peggy.Oh,yes our mums are very special to us but in Wales it’s mam.I always called my own mother mammy.Hugs Sheena.

42 fish caught this week!Ample enough even for the ever hungry Celyn!!Monty and Glesni are stellar parents. The “bobs” are on the nest tonight hunkered down.Sheena.
Mary Margaret in Georgia
The “bobs” look all tucked in for the night. I wish the stick in the front of the nest would fall over. I hate the thought of one the osprey getting gored if they land on that stick. This entire family will be missed. I will be anxiously waiting for their return in the spring. Blessings for this precious family in the distant travels they must make. Our Great Protector will guide them to far away places.

Happy Birthday Carol, I hope you enjoyed your special day!!!
One of my favorite up and coming fillies, Isabella Sings, won her first stakes today at Monmouth Park. I’ve been following her since she won her maiden first time out. She’s had her ups and downs, but when she’s on, she can run. She reminds me of her father.

Congrats to I’myoursugardaddy for his fine placing at Delaware Park. I’m sure that Tasty was there every step of the way.
I’m sure Coz and Zi are enjoying the cooler mornings at Saratoga. Unfortunately, it can also get very humid and that’s what the forecast seems to be for the northeast this week. Try to stay nice and cool. Drink lots of water and stay in the shade.
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Doreen:
I remember you bringing Isabella Sings to our attention. She is absolutely beautiful. Congrats baby girl on your first stakes win.
You are so right, it can get very humid at Saratoga and the next few days here on the East Coast are forecast to be very hot and muggy. Lots of good shade trees at the Spa, though.
Congrats to Sugar; well done. Love and Hugs, JB

Amen Elizabeth. Beautiful filly with a sensational name. Wonder if Serena’s Song is in her pedigree?

Amen from me too. I’ve watched her before and have now remembered to add her to my virtual stable :-)

Happy Birthday, Carol! I hope you had a good one. I hope that Rivers just had a bad day & will bounce back in his next race. The most important thing is that he stay healthy & sound.
To all my fellow Lady Eli fans, an article in the Albany Times Union today said that the infection in her foot is gone & the laminitis in both front feet is under control. She is not out of the woods yet, though, & is being monitored around the clock in her stall at Belmont. Chad Brown said that she is doing as good as she can possibly be doing right now. Let’s pray that Lady Eli turns the corner soon & starts to improve steadily even more.
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
Thanks for sharing this encouraging news Donna. Power Up Lady Eli!!

July 27 Cherokee Devotional
The human race needs a loving hand. Not a permissive hand and not a hand that strikes out. But it needs a hand that soothes and leads and does so without a selfish motive.
Our condition is a result of disobedience. Every rule has been broken, every law, written and unwritten, has been ignored. It has all made for imbalances, injustices, broken hearts and less stability.
Where is the loving hand? It is our own. It begins with the individual who is willing to let others exist, to forgive and to be forgiven. No doubt the bad will get worse, the good will get better-and all in all it is a personal decision.
By peace our condition has been improved in the pursuit of civilized life.

RIP Cecil.Zimbabwe’s favourite lion ruthlessly slaughtered by hunters outside a safari park.Lured to his death by the merciless.Shot by a bow and arrow wounded this magnificent beast wandered for 2 days before getting shot by a rifle then skinned and beheaded.Rumours it was either a Spaniard or a American who paid 36,000 so he could kill a lion.I cannot find the appropriate words to express my fury. And they call these beasts wildlife!!!Sheena
Elizabeth in NM
Dear Sheena, So terrible about poor Cecil. Agree – there are no words…. Wish we could protect these beautiful creatures more. Sharing your broken heart, Elizabeth
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Kathy.A wonderful devotional.I got so upset about Cecil I forgot it was Monday. So sad now his cubs will die too. Those hunters should be left alone in the bush and…..
It’s still dull and dreary here Glesni and “bobs” are hunkered down on the nest.Brenig lost a feather yesterday in a tussle over food. His sisters are bullying him I think.Sad about the ground for Gleneagles was really looking forward to the Sussex.Solow the French grey will love the ground. It was Gizmo’s open day yesterday he got lots of visitors despite the rain.July has been a washout except for the 1st week.Lovely pic of Joey!Mango was flat out last night!James and Bob posted a message on July 22nd so they seem alright but very quiet since.Fubu is eating well now hoping to regain his weight.Kimberly is always the last for her meals after Fubu and the colony of ferals she feeds.Oh,the French are annoyed about a Briton winning their race! The sky team were abused a lot!Hope you turtle-turtle.Love and hugs to you,Kisss for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

Thanks for the post Lauraj.

Proud of this boy. Keep working it.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
I read your post above about Cecil. How horrible. He suffered so. Glad the “bobs” are hunkered down. Poor Brenig losing a feather. Tough sisters! Continue enjoying the races. I pray for safety for all. Yes, Joey’s picture was lovely. I don’t think he ever took a bad picture. I saw the pile of fur you mentioned over on Ray’s page. WOW!!! Mango looked absolutely exhausted. I hope she’s feeling better today. Hopefully James and Bob will post again soon. Good news that Fubu is eating again. Kimberly’s life revolves around animals! the French will just have to get over the outcome of the race. I will definitely turtle-turtle today. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Sue Fredrick Happy as a lark
Hi all Zsters,
Have missed you all but I’ve been dealing with issues here at home. I’m waiting to hear the response to tests my husband has had…..he has COPD and has been losing weight and had no energy for weeks now. Also my daughter is having issues with her kidneys which have been a problem since she was young. And last but not least my BF Cisco, my beloved cocker has serious immune problems. When it rains it pours.
I’ve tried to keep up reading the blog but I’m way behind. Glad Judy The Beauty is doing well and her Lola has healed well. Happy Birthday to Carol hope you had a great day.
And lastly kisses to my Zenny, CoZ, Zi, angel Princess and sweet Indy. Will try to keep up. Hugs to all
