    Oops I seem to be having technical difficulties. Maybe its the snow. There are 2 1/2 inches in my front yard. It was also down to 5 degrees this morning. I just wanted to say HI and wish everyone HAPPY HOLIDAYS!. With the new year rapidly approaching as I said in my poem, perhaps this will be the year Coz and Ziconic see their first wins. May Z17 do well with her schooling and Z18 will arrive safely. I keep getting the feeling our Z is going to have another boy. Either way it’s always special when Z gives us another addition to the family. I’m looking forward to reading about Hovis tomorrow also. I’m not familiar with Hettie, but I wish her well just the same.

    Hi Zenny
    I read that Coz is now retired from racing and is about to begin a 2nd career at the Kentucky Horse Park. I wish him a lot of luck. It will be interesting to follow his performances.

        I am so happy about this news! Coz has been gelded and is being let down from the track as we speak. I will be following his progress at his new home, De Sousa Stables. Good luck to him, Team Z and De Sousa Stables in all their future endeavors!

    Dear judy.One of Juddmonte’s fillies Shutter Speed has come out to the US to further her racing career.The only horse to beat Enable so far.No decision who will train her,She was trained by John Gosden too.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT And all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

    Racing Hall of Fame trainer Leroy Jolley passed away at age 79 yesterday at Albany Medical Center. One of the old time trainers, he was one of the top trainers in the 1970’s. He trained three Hall of Fame horses: Genuine Risk, Foolish Pleasure and Manila. He also trained Honest Pleasure and Meadow Star.
    RIP Mr. Jolley

    While the news about Coz is disappointing, its really not unexpected. Here’s hoping he does well and makes it into the retraining program. In the meantime, Ziconic still has a chance. Let’s hope 2018 is his breakout year. If not, cross your fingers for Z17. If Z18 happens to be a fillly, maybe the girls can make a name for themselves. Ho Ho Hovis, is still adorable. and he always makes my Fridays happy.

    Merry Christmas to Zenyatta, Coz, Ziconic, Z17, the entire Z team, and everyone here.
    I am very happy for Coz (I grew up showing and training hunter/jumpers) From the video I saw he is in very good hands. What a beautiful horse he is. I hope we will get to see video updates of him being under saddle and jumping. Thank you Jerry and Anne for caring about your horses and their well being.

    The news about Cozmic One is so exciting. There is a fabulous athlete in there. He just needs to meet the career in which he will excel. Maybe we’ll see him in the Olympic’s someday!!

    I had not heard about Cozmic One until I just checked the blog here. That is very exciting news. He probably did not enjoy racing, so it is the best thing to try him at something different. It will be very enjoyable to follow his progress.

    For those of you who have been praying for my step Grand son who was shot in Las Vegas, in that horrible massacre, Well, he is doing great. No more crutches and did a lot of swimming therapy. Still has very small pieces of shrapnel in his leg but they are too small to try to remove. AND yesterday he passed his NCLEX exam and became a full fledged Registered Nurse. Congratulations Michael and thank you Zsters who prayed for him. He is very grateful!!I am very thankful to you all. Happy Holidays!!!!

    Merry Christmas to everyone! A special Christmas wish to our Queen, Zenyatta, Z17, Ziconic, Coz. the future Z18 and Ann who gave us the gift of keeping this blog going.
    May everyone who is traveling have a safe trip.
    Special thanks going out to the firefighters who will give up being with their loved ones to fight the California fires on Christmas day as well as all first responders who are also working on Christmas.
