    Thank you for coming up with such great ideas for Z’s shop. I have been waiting for a long time for a very light gray hoodless sweatshirt! How about, the likeness of the new Zenyatta sticker and the oval being Zenyatta’s colors!!?

    I do not intend to sound unappreciative at all. It is just that I have always wanted one and perhaps others would find it works well with what they wear too.

    I love Zenyatta and hope she is doing very well. Would like to see her and Z13. I see that Coz is doing well with his training and so glad to hear that, he looks so much like Z. I think about Z and her son’s all the time and always wish them well.

    Think long and hard before you give control of your life to something or someone. Never having to think for yourself and take care of yourself does not mean you are free from responsibility. The only thing it does mean is that you have fewer choices over which you have control.
    Now is the time to think about controlling the choices in your life. It’s very easy easy to give up control over many parts of our lives if we don’t take care and pay attention to what is happening. There are enough things in our lives that dominate us without giving society and government control over life itself.
    Consider the mess that things are in and stop looking for ease and freedom from responsibility. Rev up your thinking, doing, and voting. Let the world know you have a right to have control over your own life, to make choices about your own life. When you do this, your self-respect will become stronger. Never violate the sacredness of respect.

    I really appreciate the items mentioned, but since before last Christmas, we have been waiting for the hour video of Zenyatta’s career, and we haven’t heard anything; also, by now, we had videos of Coz playing in the field, etc. We have had very little of Zenyatta’s red son, compared to Coz, the last one, was when he was a month old running with his mother (one of my all time favorites) I miss him!!!!!!!!!!
    There was one of him getting his feet done, but that’s not the same, he’s under control, and there is no freedom, to see his personality!!
    Please, can we hear about these two things, please??? Waiting!!!

    Dear Max You are quite right ,we should all seize the day. The trouble with humans we have the ability to think.
    One of Nigel’s shall I whisper better behaved horses(sorry Moose) retired today Imperial Commander he won the gold cup in 2010. He’s off to Ireland to do some hunting and dressage.I hope the very cold weather we’ve been promised for late next week wont affect Sandown, Moose I think has plans.Did you enjoy your cake today? hugs Sheena

      Sheena. I remember Imperial Commander from that win at Cheltenham in 2010 against Kauto and The Tank. He’s earned his retirement. I am glad that he went out healthy. What will Kauto think of this possible dressage competition?
      Moosie says that he will chase Sprinter Sacre at Sandown but from a distance. Not certain what that might mean.
      Had some carrot cake along with coffee from Stars. Christmas is less than a month away. The King George is therefore on the horizon.

    Dear Max Is difficult posting on 2 blogs I had left a similar message on the previous blog. Glad you enjoyed your cake, how do you manage without Turkey at Christmas and Thanksgiving?I don’t eat much meat anymore but do enjoy poultry.
    Thinking of Sir Winston’s mother, I have a book written by her grandson Peregrine based on the many letters she wrote, it was turned into a TV series over here in the 1970’s with the beautiful actress Lee Remick in the title role,am not sure if it got shown in the US.Hugs Sheena

      Sheena. Veggies are great at all times of year. I do not miss meat at all. Eating like a horse is a healthy lifestyle, although one needs to go easy on the peppermints.
      Have not seen that tv series. Let’s just say that Lady Randolph was a colorful character. Did you know that Churchill was largely responsible for the return of the warhorses to England after WWI? Without his intervention, thousands of brave horses would have been stranded in Europe. He was a great lover of horses.

    Dear Zenyatta and Zsters,
    Thank you all for your wonderful Thanksgiving messages, I enjoyed them very much. I am so excited about the new “goodies” coming for Christmas from our very own Zenyatta Shop. I can’t wait!!!! Ann Moss has often described that pure feeling of joy that went through the crowds who were present at Zenny’s races. Although I was never blessed with seeing Zenytta race in person, it is always so special for me to feel a bit of that joy every time I hold a Zenyatta mug, or wear one of her T-shirts or gaze up at her pictures. Memories come flooding in and I feel the warmth of a very remarkable love. So thank you Zenny and thank you Team Z for sharing the joy. Hugs, Dawn

    By the way, I came across this wonderful video when I was watching some race replays on HRTV. It is called “Shania: The Love of Horses. It is a lovely tribute to the connection we feel with these amazing creatures. Enjoy!!

    What we experienced yesterday does not form or shape our attitudes so much as what happened in childhood. Our beliefs, thoughts, and behavior patterns were formed in childhood and still hold the key to who we are today. Children are natural recorders, taking in minute detail and processing it for future use. If children regularly experience abuse and verbal cruelty, you can bet that they will, in turn, abuse and berate others.
    But do our childhood experiences control what we do all of our lives, or can we change? We can definitely change if we really want to. We don’t have to drag imperfections from the past into tomorrow. So it was there. It is not holy, and it has no blessing in it. Some ancestor may be cherished, but to preserve his imperfections as our own is wrong. Claim your own life and fill it with light and love worth recording in years to come.

    I have worked with one heart and one object. I have looked ahead into the future and have worked for the children of my people.

    Dear Kathy Very wise words! Not long to go for Ray’s 1st birthday,am sure he’ll get lots of treats. Is a slow recovery for Boo and Buddy after their Thanksgiving feast!!
