Just a little happiness shared. I was told that Quiet American got my little birthday surprise. But, what I wanted to share as they told me something so cute they said that day, last Wednesday that 29 year old Quiet American and 24 year old Holy Bull were running the fences together. ( I am assuming they have adjacent pastures) I cried several times that day as I just envisioned this. Just so Cute. Sounded like they were having a lot of fun.
But, what I’m really wondering is “Who won the Fence Race.” LOL
So Thankful everyday for our horses.

Dear Peggy(N),
Thankyou for the up date on the travelling Birthday gift for Quiet American. So happy he got it on his birthday no less and am sure he appreciated your kindness and your love, but especially your love for him. I bet Holly Bull and Cherokee Run were both green with envy, especially with your boy refusing to share.
Now you see how that Fence Race came about. If Holly Bull or Cherokee Run won,Quiet American would have to share.! And the winner was , drum roll please,
Holy Bull. They all had fun that’s all that matters, and you made it happen. Good for you.
Hope you have a restful night. It is well always, much love.

Dear Peggy:

The small things that make up our lives are pleasant and filled with sweet silences that soothe the soul. But even more commonplace, a lunch, a walk, the companionship of a sweet friend, our dog.
So many little things we take for granted and yet when we pay attention they all become new. The garden path, the sound of thunder, and the splat of rain on our hat brim. It is good medicine for a jaded attitude, good feeling to help us shed the chaos of the day.
The old Lakota was wise. He knew that man’s heart away from nature becomes hard.

Dear Kathy.Gosh, there are so many hard folk living in this world. If we lose contact with nature we lose everything.Sad story from California about some abused dogs think they were in a foster home. This put me on to a story about a Doberman who was given up because he wasn’t “active”enough only 9.He was breaking his heart being pushed into a crate I hope his family will”shove” the owner in a home when he’s old.I think Tyson has found a new home now.Your Jon Stewart has bought a farm in New Jersey and is turning into a sanctuary for farm animals.Your farms are so industrialized and the animals don’t get the care they deserve.Good man!!!Dreadful day on the dyfi very wet and windy Glesni is holding on to her nest for dear life.We had the sunniest april now it’s turning into an autumnal may!Mango’s mum Judy has got high BP so she and the sissys are looking after here. She has been overdoing it since the move.Poor Dolly has been having power cuts every day .Mr Fibbs looked to be enjoying his veggies and sharing with Wimbley!Hope your auntie is doing well.Great win for Diamonds and rubies in the Cheshire Oaks.Fabulous ride from Ryan!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXXX
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
My aunt will be coming home from the rehab center tis weekend. I know she’ll be so much more comfortable. Always so sad when animals are abused. Good for Jon Stewart! Sorry the ospreys are having to deal with rain. Sorry to hear of Judy’s high BP. They sure have a lot of issues with their electricity over in Tripoli. Poor Dolly! Did you see the great horse video over on Joey’s page. Wonderful reunion! That’s good the ratties are eating veggies. Their mom told them a good vege table joke! Congratulations to Diamonds and Rubies! Have a good Hump Day and take care of yourself. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Sad news on The Buffalo Front….
The first buffalo who was hit by car….developed internal injuries …she died some time ago but it was reported this weekend…
….
The pasture 3 are safe….a male and 2 females…
….
The 2 running free…..erroneously called Bonnie and Clyde since they are both girls should be Bonnie and Clydette….one has been spotted repeatedly in a very fancy neighborhood here in town…the owner who continues to look for them yesterday found one….she had fallen into a ravine and died….RIP Clydette….Bonnie still roams free
…..
I hope that Bonnie can be reunited with her friends….

Wonderful. Frankie Dettori has his own emu and a really fine one who eats cookies. Looks like the emu lives in the barn with the horses and donkeys.

Dear Max and Z Fans:
AJ sent me the video of Bruce and Frankie D some time ago. I didn’t want to post it on Z Princess’s Blog Page, so I waited until now.
Do you think we’ll get some long awaited, happy news tomorrow?
Can’t find anything new on Big Trouble. Read some time ago (unofficially on Horse Racing Nation) that he sustained a tear in his suspensory ligament right foreleg. Hope he’s going to be alright. Love and Hugs, JB
Max
Really enjoyed that video. The other Frankie is good in it. Bruce however steals the show.
Might hear soon about Z. Hope all is well.
Injury to BT could be a career ender. He’s been off for about six months or more. Would like to see him return. He has promise.
The Beast has been strangely quiet lately.

Dear Carol in Arkansas,
Thank you so much for the update on the Buffalo’s. Sad to hear about the one’s that died. I pray that the one sighted in the ritzy neighbourhood would be safe and not meet an untimely death but be returned to its owner in sound health .
Have a restful night and God’s Blessings always are wished you and your family always. It is well always at Z Nation .

Never forget the necessity of the blessing. Even though most of us have heard and used blessing all our lives, few of us know its significance. What is it really? And why is it so important when it has been used so lightly?
A blessing is a special grace given someone without their having earned it. It is the strength and power that kicks in when we set out to do a thing strictly on faith. We need it every day to fall on us abundantly so that we can overcome the darker nature.
It is through this mysterious power that we too have our being.

Kathy,
Very though provoking. Many times we receive blessing without realizing how special they are.

Dear Kathy.Beautiful devotional.I am late again!Had an early birthday lunch with my cousin and her daughters (she is away this weekend). We got caught in torrential rain! Now I am home it’s cleared up.Does’nt look so bad on the dyfi Glesni looks quite happy she didn’t get a meal yesterday!I am so happy to hear your aunt will be home soon.It will aid her recovery to be in familiar surroundings.Marty is going to take us through all his abventures again! From his internet connection in Heaven!Mango’s sissy’s went to the dogster to have their teeth cleaned Judy is still keeping too busy!Great pics and video of Hovis on his FB!Now I have to visit the rest.Oh,I saw the horse video on Joey’s page.It was fantastic seeing them recognize each other.Hope you have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
The birthday lunch sounds like it was really fun. Sorry it rained on you, however. Dry off and stay comfy. Wow, if I hadn’t had a meal yesterday I don’t think I would be looking very happy! lol That’s great news that we get all of Marty’s abventures. I still miss him so much. The new ratties are cute, but they’re not Marty…Will look for Hovis’ pics and video. Have a wonderful Friday Eve. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Dear Max.Better luck for Ballydoyle today with Hans Holbein winning the Chester Vase.Stayed on well in the softer ground.Sheena.
Max
Must have been a sweet victory as he won against Storm The Stars and rival Godolphin. Hans is a nice horse. He has superior looking ears. Moore told the BBC that Hans is a laid back horse, but he will respond when asked. I wonder if he has the Montjeu quirks? Few would describe a Montjeu as laid back. The Fly for one is anything but laid back.
Terry Crow
@Rosemary M.–Ty Hardin used to be a star in a group of westerns on TV including, Cheyenne and Sugarfoot. He played a character named Bronco Lane. Wall of Noise must be 40+ years old now, but it was a good portrayal of training methods. Wall of Noise refers to the sounds that horses hear when they hit the stretch. I will do some research to see of I can locate it and will report back.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear TC GP:
Thanks. Will be interested in what you find. Love and Hugs, JB
Terry Crow
OK-Wall of Noise was made in 1963 and also stars Suzanne Pleshette and Dorothy Provine. I saw it listed for sale on eBay so it is probably available for rental somewhere. If anyone sees this film, I would be interested in their reaction. It was filmed at Hollywood Park and has excellent racing scenes but drags when the action leaves the track.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear TC GP:
Thanks. Will look for it. Going to rent “50 to 1”, Mine That Bird, this Saturday. Love and Hugs, JB

Saw 50-1 in the movie theater and enjoyed it. You have to be a horse racing fan, though, so its appeal is limited.

Dear Terry.I remember Ty Hardin quite well. Was’nt he a singer too?.It was only recently I found out that Suzanne Pleshette died a few years ago.Hugs Sheena.
Terry Crow
sheena-he actually started out as a singer but was “discovered” and was part of a stable of young actors at Warner Brothers. Yes, too bad about Suzanne Pleshette. Remembered her mostly from her role as the wife on the old Bob Newhart TV show.
