just looked at a short video of Big D on a thread on the forum side…they were showing him to fans…very interesting….his lead was NEVER jiggled or tight….He was never touched by the groom…and he posed…when he had had enough he turned his head toward the barn and let the groom know it was time to go and off they went…Big D in the lead…he had a true sense of his own worth..

Zenyatta’s half-sister will run again at Saratoga
by:Tim Wilkin, staff writer timesunion.com Monday, August 5, 2013
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Trainer John Shirreffs said Eblouissante, who got rattled before the start of the Grade III Shuvee here on July 20, will run again during this meet, but no race had been targeted as of yet.
Eblouissante (pronouced A-Blue-E-Sant) is a half-sister to the charismatic Zenyatta. She finished last in the Shuvee after having a gate issue and ended up with two chipped teeth and some scrapes on her legs.
She has yet to return to the track.
“She is getting much better,” Shirreffs said at his barn on the Oklahoma on Monday. “We will breeze her in the next few days and then we will see.”
Eblouissante, a winner of her first two starts in California, never had gate issues before, Shirreffs said. He has had her doing some gate work since the Shuvee, and there have been no problems.
“She reacted to some noise in the gate,” Shirreffs said of the Shuvee race. “How can you predict that is going to happen?”

Thank You all for the pictures of Leroi’s family. Bluegrass Girl, Judy, Ann. Hello to All.
Have had some sickness in the family. My brother has been in the hospital, but he is out now and doing better.
Leroi has another little filly that I hope we can keep track of. She is at the same farm as Leroi. Her dam is Big Gem. I am so hoping she doesn’t sell. I’ld like to go back to see her. She is just beautiful. Looks like her dad and Animal Kingdom. I think maybe even a little prettier. I have already picked her out as Coz’s girlfriend. OK Coz, you might have to get her Dad’s approval. Ha.
Love to All.

Hello Peggy. Good to hear from you. Glad your brother is out of the hospital and feeling better. Leroi’s little girls are gorgeous, will be fun watching them.
Love it, you are playing matchmaker for Mr. Handsome, Coz. What a catch!!
Think of you everytime I see our peaches, guess the GA peaches are about gone?
Your, Vyjack is in Fair Hill, I believe. Getting some good healing hands on him. Horse heaven that place……Take Care
Peggy (N) South Georgia
Dear Ann,
I had not heard about Vyjack being at Fairhill. Sure hope he is OK. I have just been out of the loop lately. Been back and forth to the hospital so much. And that will just get ya down. He had to have emergency surgery at ll one night. I was up basically about all night that night. He is better now. Thanks so much for caring.
The peaches I have had this year were just not as good to me just not sweet enough. Maybe they will be better next year. If you hear anything on Vyjack please post.

Hay List no certainty for Missile Stakes
Posted by: AAP+ Filled in: Australian Horse Racing | 6/8/2013 at 5:54pm
Hugh Bowman is on standby to ride Hay List on Saturday but trainer John McNair says he won’t make up his mind until Wednesday morning whether the horse runs in the Missile Stakes.
The triple Group One winner’s regular partner Glyn Schofield is out of the Randwick meeting due to a careless riding suspension.
McNair said a workout in the morning would determine whether the injury plagued eight-year-old makes his latest comeback this week or waits for another day.
“I’ll make my mind up in the morning,” McNair said.

Dear all–I just had a moment to visit my FB page, and I saw that the wonderful people at Beauty’s Haven in FL are asking for prayers for 3 of their charges, including Betsy Rose.
Here is what they have said:
Could use some prayers here for Solace, Amy, and Betsy Rose. Solace had a temp this am and appeared to be trying to choke. It seems to have cleared and his temp is coming down. He’s in a stall under fans. Amy was trying to colic but seems better. Betsy Rose is coughing. It’s too busy here today.
Thank you so much. I know many have been following Betsy Rose’s story from Horse and Man.
