    I asked on the Palace Malice facebook how tall he is and the answer was 16.2 hands. Don’t we know someone else who is that tall and still just a 2 year old? Our boy is going to be a big guy like mom.

    Love all the new tee shirts colors and designs and will have a hard time deciding if I want to Christmas shop for myself or be kind and order as gifts. Probably should do the latter, but we shall see. Lol! Thank you for always offering us the best and allowing us to keep up with our Queen and her beautiful family.

    December 9 Cherokee Devotional

    Take away the plastic, the film, the artificial and give a small boy a stick to dig in the dirt, to whack the water at the pond’s edge-and you have given him happiness. Show him deer tracks and the handprints of a raccoon, and you give him curiosity. Boost him up to the lowest limb of a tree and he can take the next one with vision. Show a small boy something other than cartoons, sing him songs that are not commercials, teach him gentleness with small animals and other children, and you have given him a life laced with love and kindness. The best part of sharing an hour with an exuberant little boy is that he gives back so much, shining eyes, imagination, questions without end, and laughter at nothing and everything. It is an hour well spent and will be remembered. Hopefully, in later years, he will recall that it was spent with Grandma.

    It does not require many words to speak the truth.

      Loved this Kathy: I have two girls and one boy as grandchildren and they have grown to love animals, small or big or frogs and turtles. We had so much fun just a couple years ago. I was on my hands and knees and we searched. Sometimes when they are young they can not quite remember who they were with, but for some reason all they know is a special feeling to all these creatures. This is wonderful. I myself love to know how they feel towards them now.

        Oh Sheena, Just wanted to say I think everyone should have an Allistair in their life. He seems like such an Uplifting person. Wonder if he’s like that in real life. Philip Bretherton just adore him. We are both may babies.

    Dear Kathy.I will always remember the time spent with my grandmothers! Back to the wet and windies today.Mango looked so sweet dressed as Santa Claus.Did you hear they wanted a monkey for Christmas?lol.It’s great that Abby is getting a cart and the 3 of them are improving poor Noah is blind too.Have heard Moose may be running? in a
    hurdle at the Cheltenham meeting this weekend.Nigel’s champion hurdle hope The New One is running as well.At least the Moose won’t have to travel far to the racecourse!!I loved Zoe’s letter to Santa I pray all her dreams come true.Fubu is visiting the doc again today someone donated $500 to his fund page!I love the Monday pics of Joey he was such a handsome lad.Did you hear about the Janus cat Frankie and Louie he died last Thursday aged 15yrs his owner rescued him when he was taken to the vet at a day-old to be euthanized.He wasn’t expected to live long but made the Guinness book of records you can find him on you-tube.A strange but lovable cat who had a long and happy life.Is’nt Mia cute as a reindeer!!Marty’s got a jigsaw on his website now!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.

    Try to stay warm and cozy today. Mango is such a sweet little dog. Hope Santa gives her a monkey. Maybe they can find a stuffed version???     Thanks shirleeinindie. I have been wondering how tall Coz might be. Will it take him longer to start racing the taller he gets? I don’t care when I just want him safe and in great safe. I know with John he will do only what is right for our young man. I want him to have a long and safe career just like Mom did. Had two doctors appointments last two days. Good news. All blood work came within normal ranges. Just have to have a bone scan. It’s been 9 years since the last one. I have to stay healthy so I will still be around to watch Zenyatta’s grandbabies run. Take care everyone.

      I am no sure but have been told that the bigger they are the longer it takes for their bones to strengthen to carry the weight. Perhaps some of the horse people on here can tell us more.

    News of the Danimal. He’s in excellent shape with a fully healed hoof. LoPresti says that Dan will go home to the farm for the winter holidays soon and will start training again in the spring with the Breeders’ Cup as his long term goal. I love this horse. He is the most interesting horse in the world.

        When he gets home to the farm, Dan will have a Christmas surprise waiting for him. FedEx delivered 20 lbs of individually wrapped peppermints to the Dan last week. We’re starting off small. More to come on his B-day. Kick butt, Dan.

          I was so so happy to see Dan and the article today about him. Waiting patiently to see when he would head to the farm. This along with seeing Orfevre in the video was just wonderful. Deep Impact sure looked good too.

          Do you think he will share his peppermints! If he eats all of them, he will be too fat to get around the track when he comes back. I am sure he will share with his mom and others at the farm.

        • I will let you guys know if Dan writes another letter. His brothers and sisters are all at that farm. His momma might be there too. I’m sure that Dan will share with them. As Ann NC said, the quarter horses might want some too, Norman for example. Dan is rich with peppermints. He won a huge tub of them from the Shadwell.

        So happy Palace Malace is coming back next year too. He’s only about 3 hours from here in Aikin at Dogwood. I like Mr. Campbell so much. Like Mr. Fink I think he will always do the right thing by PM. I believe this is the same area that Ebby did her early training.

    While it pays to be cautious, very often our skepticism is surpassed only by our ignorance. When we can’t believe in anything that doesn’t figure in dollars and cents and other tangible benefits, then life is all on the surface. More of life is invisible than visible. We draw on the invisible the way we draw on a bank account, seeing nothing of the workings but getting results. We believe our money is in the bank, not expecting it to be where we can see it. When we need it, we call for it. The Cherokee believes the Great Spirit has a great many other things, health, peace and happiness to name a few, in the bank for us. It is our part to keep what we have balanced, to add to the strength of it with faith, and to be grateful for it. But until we call for it, using the name, it remains where it is.

    Indians…know better how to live…Nobody can be in good health if he does not have all the time fresh air, sunshine and good water.
