Will definitely check out the website and Rivers’ photo. Wishing you all the best results on your tests. Love and Hugs, JB

Carol, Glad your tests are over and all is okay. Those GI tests are a special kind of torture. Know what you mean by “never again.”
I am going to see if I can find the picture of River you spoke of. Bloodhorse.com did have one of him winning at Belterra in their slideshow for last week. He is a handsome dude and very chic in his red blinkers.

Dear Max.Oh,bless him. Thanks for the lovely photo. He’s so fortunate to have a great owner and a good home. He,also, had a great trainer too.The ground is drying out at York which will suit True Story,I really hope to see a great horse win the Derby I found the guineas disappointing no stand out horse.Free The Moose.Sheena.
Max
Sheena. Kauto never takes a bad photo. He always looks his best. Nice horse too to remember his fans. Unlike a certain unruly chestnut, he does not go on vacation. Kauto’s always typing on his iPad. I like Paul as a trainer but Smith did the right thing however to move Kauto from Ditcheat. I cannot see Kauto spending his time hacking. He needs fans to admire him and competition to keep him busy..
Read that Mullins has turned The Fly out for the summer. He’ll be back in the winter over longer distances, unless that too changes. Annie Power may go over fences. Nothing is decided. Mullins always goes for the last minute announcement.
Don’t give up on a Toormore or Australia. They just had some very weird bad luck in the guineas. The Derby might be different.

I can’t believe that neither Gary nor our Mikie have mounts in the Preakness!! That will be strange!
What a wonderful photo of Judy Glore with her dog and her Dyna King–made me tear up!
Am SO excited for the race on Saturday–can hardly wait! So hope CC gets a good trip and does his thing> It is so fun to watch him, he is the same size as Barnaby and it looks like Barnaby powering down the stretch!! Barnaby only has three white socks,of course, but, they surely DO remind me of each other!
Last weekend,we really had fun riding. Saturday morning, after we were through, there was a Dressage Show at our barn,or, as Hovis would say,a stressage show—lots of “poncing”. It was really fun to watch. When we got down there on Sunday, they had not cleared the arena. So,after letting them run in one of the small arenas,we groomed and saddled them and walked them around past all of the big numbers, rails,a d “chicken coops’ so that they wouldn’t get too freaked out at all of the new things and then rode them in there, making up mock “tests” and pretending that we were showing! It was great practice and they really seemed to enjoy it. They seemed to like having a “job” and paid much more attention than usual The obstacle course thing we were supposed to ride in this coming weekend has been postponed at least a week, so will let you know when the new date has been settled. I sure hope it won’t be after we’re supposed to go back to East Fork on June 1.. It is always fun to see their delight when they get out of the trailer and realize that they are “home”! They gallop around like wild things when they are first turned loose. I’ll try to take a video of it with my digital camera and then try to figure out how to share it with you. I will definitely have it with me at the BC, if nothing else!!
Now that I have my plane tickets and the BC tickets are on the way,I know it’s really happening!! It’s all going to be great–I can hardly wait!! Bet we’ll get to see CC in the Classic!!
Queen Z and your beautiful Princess Z, have a peaceful night with sweet dreams—and–gorgeous Zi–don’t party too late with you buddies!! Coz–keep up the good work tomorrow!! Love you all!!

Bernardo fire burns into horse country
San Diego – The Bernardo Fire burned into San Diego’s horse country prompting the evacuations of hundreds or horses.
About 800 of them wound up at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. While the fairgrounds were not designated as an official evacuation center, people still brought their horses to the fairgrounds and the fairgrounds said all were welcome.

That is a good spot. The fairgrounds is where Del Mar conducts its race meeting and there is lots of stall space there. Also, it is right on the Pacific Ocean.

Not going to be easy as this is his first time on turf? Brit and Irish turf courses are challenging. They are not the same as US courses. For one thing, they are not really flat. Hope however that V does well.
Like Sruthan. He’s a son of Arakan and he’s trained by Paul Deegan who is turning into a highly successful trainer. Sruthan wears a black hood like Noble Mission and is coming off a good win the Big Bad Bob Gladness Stakes.

May 15 Cherokee Devotional
Our willingness to work at whatever we can opens doors to new opportunities. Willingness breathes life into us and gives us vision. Hope is good but determination is even better. It sets the tone to move, to do the thing set out for us. And we can do anything when we do not stop to consider what if we were to fail, or what if we are not appreciated. Cherokee women were never considered inferior to the men. They were honored and respected and educated themselves so they could teach their children. It meant hard work and determination to perfect what they could so they could pass it on. Sometimes, the main objective of our work is not just to prosper us but to do a worthwhile thing well. We keep labor on a high level, never taking the easy way out. There is honor in work-even in the most menial job. Success is short-lived when the work is done for appearances.
If our children should visit this place…they may see and recognize with pleasure the deposits of their fathers.

Talking Racehorse – Mad Moose .
hanna presenting· Published on Dec 31, 2013
Mad Moose, explains why he’s been refusing to start his races of late. Mad Moose, is one of the most popular racehorses in the UK. The talented gelding, trained by Gold Cup winning trainer, Nigel Twiston-Davies, is known for his quirky ways. He runs on both the flat and jumps. However, he sometimes refuses to start. Despite this he enjoys a great following plus a large fan base on twitter. Sadly, the BHA, have recently decided to prevent Mad Moose from racing ever again. However, he’ll still remains popular with his many followers and fans. Racing, as does all sport, needs charismatic characters such as the talented if unpredictable gelding.
