    Hope all of you all had a good holiday. It is still raining in Indianapolis. I’m looking for a herd of sheep and a shepherd to get control of my yard!

    On Bloodhorse.com there was a great article about Roberto and his winning of the Epsom Derby. Sure can tell where our girl got those ears.

    Safe trip to all the horses running this weekend.

    Still no news of our Red Prince.

    Defoe the grey wins the Coronation Cup Kew Gardens looked all set to win but Defoe found a gap.Lah-Ti-Dar just could’nt handle the infamous Epsom Track.
    A treble for Andrea Atzeni as Mountain Angel wins Roger Varian the trainer.Congratulations to all.
    The hole of Hovis has finally healed soon stem cell treatment will start for his arthritis.The mothership has run out of bodyparts and her bank balance is in the red again! and she is booked for spinal surgery in July.

    Dear Sheena, Judy, neighbors Marshall, Ann
    Hope I didn’t miss anyone. Thank You so much for the birthday wishes. Mom’s just been real sick since last year and I just haven’t been able to get in here very much.
    She has gone to assisted living and the good news is that she likes it. I am so happy about that. Had a good birthday. Just got my birthday cake today. Just decided would like to have it for the weekend. My favorite. not traditional birthday cake but i just love it.
    It’s called the Blueberry Birdsnest Cake AKA Blueberry Surprise Cake. It is awesome.
    Wonder if any of you know it. Its the Duncan Hines Moist yellow cake mix. Cool Whip frosting. On top is blueberry pie filling within the Bordered Cake. It is awesome. So Moist.

    I have a little news to share also. I am retiring on June 28, am looking so forward to it. I will miss everyone but it is time. A new chapter in my life Hope horses can play a bigger part in it.

    She is just a Wow. They were talking about her today on HRRN. Hope so hard she wins. They were saying they just thought John was just going to let her go and do her own thing. She is terrific. So hope Santa Anita is OK. So much good luck wishes and prayers sent your way
    Another favorite of mine is racing too this weekend at Churchill. Morticia, I love you.
    How dare they put you in the 9th race tomorrow night with the boys. They all say you are going to be scratched and go Sunday. OK now, I got to figure out why did they put you for Saturday night in the first place. LOL

    Everyone, love you all very much. Will try to get here more often

    A belated joyous birthday to you. Am not familiar with your cake but it sounds good. Happy retirement. It takes a while to adjust but sleeping in is great!

    I think John just has the magic touch when it comes to fillies and mares. Safe trips to Paradise Woods and Morticia.

    Glad your mom is happy in her new place. Several woman I know from church have made the decision to go into senior or assisted living and are loving it.

      OK who’s your favorite for the Belmont. After everything happened with Maximum Security have just almost lost interest. He was my favorite. But if Master Fencer goes think he will be my favorite.

      I am so excited about the girls going this weekend. Just love Paradise and her family especially Dixieland Band. Met him at Lanes End before he passed.
      Think she’s going to be flying later this afternoon so Mikey hold on.
      And, Morticia she is just the bomb. Just love her. She puts her heart and soul into every race she goes in. I think she always gives 100%
      I do hope they scratch her from tonight’s race. And let her go tomorrow. Two handicappers I was listening to yesterday both thought she will be scratched from tonight. Don’t know if its because she’s a filly in with the boys or what. Have to check more on this. Sure wish I could see these races in person.

    Sorry for second post but I wanted to tell you all about a post I saw on Face Book. At Donnabrothers.com there is news about a new kind of whip that all the famous jockeys are using that is supposed to be kinder to the horses. It is called 360 GT. Don’t know if anyone else has read about it.

    Sorry I can’t post it but as you all know, I am a computer dummy.

    Thank You so much for the Butter Cookies you sent me. You know they are my absolute favorite. Oh My Gosh Delicious. They were gone right after I got them.
    OK your so good about knowing things about racing. Why do you think they are all saying Morticia they think will be scratched tonight.

      Dear Peggy:

      You’re so welcome. Morticia has been scratched by her trainer out of the 9th race at Churchill today. She is entered in the 9th race tomorrow; fillies and mares Allowance.
      I think sometimes they just look at the condition book and enter to fill the card; then another race pops up that’s more suited, so they enter that and scratch out of one of the races. Just guessing.

      It has stopped raining in Indy for several days but more rain and storms forecast for Wed. on. It is so wet the farmers have not been able to get their crops in.
