WoW Sue,
We are so very lucky. Zenny really stepped up to the plate nurturing and teaching her
first beloved colt the lessons of being a horse and getting along with humans and
other horses. She has so very many skills and does them all with such great style and class and then moves on to her next life task. A very special horse with very special
talents and skills that span a nation like ours.

I just ordered mine – so exciting!!!

Yea-a-a-a-a! Ebby is starting to get serious with her works! A BULLET NO LESS!! Cannot wait for her debut! So excited! Hope it is sooner rather than later! I know John wants her to be “just right” and won’t put her out there until she is ready, by his high standards! But I sure hope it is soon!
Love this print. Hope to own one.

Beautiful print! Fred Stone portraits have as much life as a photograph. He captures the character of each subject in their eyes to perfection. Totally remarkable. I hope the weaning process was not to traumatic. Miss everyone & the daily diary.
PEACE & LOVE

What a lovely print! Just ordered mine. I am running out of wall space. Just framed & hung the It’s A Boy poster. Now another beauty to add to the collection.
This has been quite a Zenyatta week what with all of the great photos & videos coming from Lane’s End. Can’t thank the Mosses & the whole Team Zenyatta group enough for sharing Zenny & her beautiful colt with all of us. Also happy to hear the weaning went well.
So looking forward to the Zenyatta celebration in November!

Here are today’s redneck jokes. You might be a redneck if you know how to make squirrel casserole. You might be a redneck is your ex-husband left the state and changed his identity. You might be a redneck if you have ever made meat loaf using REAL ground chuck. You might be a redneck if you have a year’s supply of beef jerky in your glove compartment. Yo might be a edneck if you wish your house looke as good as the ones in the opening scenes of The Beverly Hillbillies and Green Acres. You might be a redneck if you can eat a whole bag of black licorice and your teeth don’t look any differant than usual.
Sue Fl CPRC
oh that black licorice is great
thanks for a good laugh and a smile

Terry, OMG the black licorice choke, hysterical………..haaaaaaaaaaa, haaaaaaaaaaa. You have made my day again!
How about Ebby’s bullet workout! Great! She’s got to be ready pretty soon. Can’t wait to see this stunning beauty run.
I love this painting of Stone’s, what a gift to be able to capture her “loving look” the way he does. I’d love one but am running out of wall space, and money.
I’m going to repeat from my message one page before because I thought it was so cute. The license plate I saw yesterday, “Res Q A DOG” maybe someone could get one saying “Res Q A TB or Tbred”. Great idea, wish I had thought of it. Hugs
Trina Nagele in SoCal
Great plates!
Terry Crow GP
It is an idea I could have gotten behind with the money raised going to whatever rescue was involved. California has had such a program for some time now with special plates issued. Supposedly, the additional money for such plates WAS going to the various causes. However, it has been subsequently discovered that the additional money was not going to the causes, rather it was going into California’s general budget funds. In other words, motorists were making a contribution to the general welfare of California. If this is instituted in other states, I hope someone acts as watchdog.
Rosemary McCauley - Pres/AZ/New Mexico RNC
I agree, that is an excellent idea for plates.
signofthetimes; President Texas Chapter RNC
Love your idea for license plates.

but just follow the steps….i know you can do it….
Sue Fl CPRC
I love the virtual stable. I have a small herd on my list to track. It is a great tool.

What can one say except we are so lucky to be blessed with an artist as great as Fred Stone. He can capture the heart and soul of his subjects.
Thank you Fred Stone for this wonderful painting of Zenyatta and her baby!

Update on Thunder and Oscar
Dear Debbie G:
Thank you for your post on August 11 on visiting Thunder and Oscar. Sorry I missed it.
Trina forwarded your post. So glad you met Carol, Thunder and Oscar. Thank you for helping spread the word.
Carol started a new campaign for Thunder’s surgery and Oscar’s medical bills. Good news – Oscar got a new mask which is better suited for his eye problem. It has sheepskin around the eye and a terry cloth strip that can be removed for washing to absorb the tears. Thanks again to all who helped. Regards, Marilu

That’s great news, Marilu! I sure hope it helps. He’s such a sweet fellow. It breaks my heart to think he might be suffering. Hopefully Carol can get his eye cleared up soon and raise enough money for Thunder’s surgery. I’ve been trying to get the word out about them on FB. Hugs, Debbie

Love this print. It captures the true essence of Zenny and 12Z.

Well here we go everyone. Zenyatta’s half sister Eblouissante thanks to John’s sweet patience is finally coming into her own. Her last workout says a lot. Like Zenyatta, E is big like her mom V. with those equally big adoring ears we all love as well in Z’s baby boy. I have been on E facebook for over a year now and so excited that she has matured and grown. She is so stunning…black shiney coat like her father, but tall like her mom and Z. Perfect.
Trina Nagele in SoCal
Bernardini is a bay, if I am not mistaken. Ebby is indeed much darker and certainly looks black. A very beautiful black beauty!
Pati- So So
Ok, I decided on the type of fundraiser I am going to have. I have started calling around my town to find vendors that would be willing to participate to raise funds for SHERR. I am also asking some online sites so those farther away can also participate. I want to find some famous “horsey fashions” to maybe auction off but so far, no one has answered me back. :-(
Gus and Bing are the best of friends! Liddy will run around Bing and annoy him because she knows she can zip away from the old man! She taunts him like a brat! She also poots when she runs! What an interesting little filly!
Ann
Little Liddy, that’s our girl! Good news Pati, thanks.
Glad to see you are feeling better.
Contact these folks….http://www.jojosox.com/.
Tell them a customer from NC referred you. We love these and bought the first pair when the sales lady first came into the shop. After we went gaga over them, the shop owner then decided to have them in her store…tell JoJo this, maybe it will help.
Good luck.
Did you know TC made Bubba am HON. RN? YEAH!!!! Finally.
Terry Crow GP
I acted as soon as Pati indicated that Bubba gave his assent.
Ann
Thank you TC. We are glad you did not procrastinate!
TC…. You know you are a RN when…….
The Welcome Wagon Lady drives by your house ,REALLY SLOW,as if spying on ya.
The next day,she rings the doorbell and runs off of the porch ,REALLY FAST.
You open the door and low and behold, she has left you, an EMPTY 5 gal. sheetrock bucket, filled with duct tape, cleaning tips, the city telephone number for…back up sewers and a few fly swatters. Sweet!
She kept that nice basket for herself, I just know it.
Terry Crow GP
That WAS the nice basket. Should have submitted that one for a Golden Outhouse award.

Dear GirlSaratoa:
I think I found the name of one of the two Two Year Olds you are trying to keep track of. The filly by Real Quiet out of Buff ‘N Polish is named Quiet Dinero. You can add her to your Virtual Stable and you will be notified of her workouts and entries into races. I cannot find anything on the colt by Skip Away out of Fair Game as yet. I will keep on checking. Hugs, JB

Dear Girl Saratoga:
Have some good news and some bad news on the Skip Away Colt out of Fair Game. E-mailed the Consignor, Eisaman Equine and they e-mailed me back with this info:
The colt’s name is Daebal. He was purchased in the FT Mid Atlantic Sale in May 2012 by Korean Racing connections so it’s going to be difficult to find out anything more about him. I will keep trying. Hugs, JB
Barbara Wood (Texas)
What a stunning print. I remember so well seeing just that pose before in pictures we were furnished. Zenny has proved to be just as good at her post-racing career as she was whne racing. She is truly one of a kind. We are so thankful to be not just left cold when she retired.
@Pati-so-so–glad you are at least inproving that much. Thanks for sharing the rescue stories.
@Marilu V.–thanks for the update from Carol
@All–During my hubby’s 5 hospitalizations this year in a 6-month period, we decided it was definitely time to sell this big house and find a smaller one. Well, we are moving sometime soon, but we have yet to sell ours, which is scary. All this to say I will be very sporadic for a few weeks, but you’re not rid of me. WIll try to check in once a day if possible. Love to all.
Darlene Daniels
Dear Barbara,
Best of luck to you and your husband with the move and selling your house. I will be thinking of you and hope you still get to come to Breeders Cup. And we had better not be rid of you. It wouldn’t be the same around here without you.
Take care my friend. Hugs
Barbara Wood (Texas)
Thank you, Darlene–definitely planning to be there.
carol in utah
hope you have a smooth move…and also that you have much more luck selling your house than we have had trying to sell ours…we also have too big a house and my hubby’s docs keep telling him to move closer to sea level…so he can breathe easier…
Sue Fredrick Co-P WI Chapt.
Barbara,
Best of luck on the sale of your home, don’t give up I’ve heard of many successes as long as you’re patient. I’ve had many of the same issues with my husbands health problems and have had to make numerous changes, so I know it’s hard. Hope all works out for you and you can spend some therapy time with us on the blog. Hugs
Terry Crow GP
Barbara-Good luck with all of the irons you have in the fire. You deserve to reap the rewards of being a good person.
sharon in seattle
Hi Barbara – good luck in everything. I’m contemplating selling and indeed, there are scary things about that!! We better not be “rid of you” — that would be UNACCEPTABLE!! : ) love, Sharon
Rosemary McCauley - Pres/AZ/New Mexico RNC
Barbara, good luck with the move and with the sale of your house. I hope everything goes smoothly (as smoothly as any move can be) and that we don’t lose touch with you.
Ann
Good luck Barbara.
Best wishes for the future.
Don’t be a stranger!!!!!
Pati- So So
Not a problem. I will have a full update soon; complete with pictures and video!
Diana Stuart - Still a Redneck
Barbara know me well enough to not be offended: A redneck divorce – feeding your husband squirrel stew and wondering why he’s been in the hospital 5 times!

Hi everyone. Yes, it’s a GORGEOUS print but I, too, have a wall-space problem! Still, I’m putting it on my Christmas list….my son (James) will be relieved to have the major gift for Mum taken care of!!!
So nice to see all my Zen-ster “pasture pals” coming up in the blog! Love & hugs to each of you from Abigail in Montreal
