Dear Fans,
Today we celebrate what would have been our filly’s first birthday by remembering the joy that she brought to the world. We created a memorial page for Z Princess with a collection of images, videos and memories from those who loved her.
This page will always be here on Zenyatta.com in celebration of her life.
With love,

Dear Sheena, Thank You so much for letting me know about African Story and Prince Bishop. I will sure miss them, but know they will be taken good care of. Hope they are very happy in the leisure life. Will sure miss them especially African Story that I know the best. I check on some of the Darley Retiree’s that live in Kentucky and hear they are living a “very” nice carefree life. Hear they also get treats from the vendors.

Lovely photo of CC and his 22 year old veteran work mate galloping out in
the lovely English country side on Art Sherman’s twitter, he looks like a natural
there, what horse wouldn’t. Glad he has a nice calm veteran to show him the ropes,
nothing will phase that old guy and will keep CC focused !!!
sheena.davies(wales)
Some news of CC.Sadly the lovely weather he has enjoyed comes to an end this week! The rain makes the grass grow!!!Sheena.
http://www.raeguest.com/
Tizgood
Dear Sheena,
I think CC is pretty flexible about the weather, I think he might
have won in the slop or bad weather. Of course not like the English
rain. He looked so good cantering by his 22 year old buddy in
the twitter photo. We sure do not have 22 year old work mates for our
horses. It great for CC since he is in the open landscape so he has a lot
of security. One thing about horses they always need a buddy.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear Sheena:
Thanks for sharing news on CC. Love and Hugs, JB
maureen ph[llips
Dear Sheena,
He’ll live, his very hardy from what I hear of him and being home grown makes him even more durable. Hope the Royals are having fun and you all enjoying the rain. I love the rain and the snow, same thing, different textures. Have a good restful weekend and if happen to see CC, tell him we all at Z Nation say hi.

Dear Peggy N -South Georgia,
Thank you so much , you made my day!, with your kind words. Thanks for letting me know of your sweethearts, they however told me there wasn’t anything ‘elderly’ about them and were actually Spring chickens!. Now you know. Go figure. Now am confused as to how to address them without upsetting them, I guess I should have asked them. Talk about being testy.
Could you tell me a little more about those cute gentlemen?, I know I could google them but it would not have that love flavor in its reporting like you would add. I do really love their names and curious about their personalities. I have always felt that there was more to a name than just a name and so we should really be careful in choosing names. So, what’s Holly Bull like?, was he Bullish? or was he calm like first Prince Cozmic One??.
Now that’s the love of my life. I absolutely love that baby pic of him on the Queen page, the corky way he held his neck at an angle, so assured of himself, so confident without being arrogant. Just love going back to look at that picture of him. It’s so Cozmic.
Back to the topic at hand, Quiet American, is he really quite? and Cherokee Run, was he a runner?. Forgive me for all the questions.
Have a Blessed quiet weekend . It is always well at Z Nation where love abounds. always. Again, thank you.
Peggy (N) South Georgia
Dear Maureen
OH Gosh, Where would I begin, I have personally seen Quiet American & Holy Bull. Cherokee run did not get to see him, But love him dearly as he is the Dad of one of the most beautiful horses I have personally ever seen. Probably # 1 on my list War Pass, whom I do have to say with my eyes tearing up has passed a few years ago. One of the trills of my life to see him at Lane’s End. A little note to this, another lady and myself got one of the girls at Lane’s End to carry us to his paddock to see him, as he had just arrived there. The other lady got over to the fense to see him first and I heard her tell him that it didn’t just make her day to get to see him but it made her “Life” I just had to step back for a moment. I would have waited on her to visit with him for as long as she wanted, but I got my turn. Suming it up now I will just say, Love him forever. He’s I hope in heaven now. He lived only about a year after I saw him.
Now Quiet American. Quiet American is the Sire of Cara Rafella who is Bernardini’s Mother. And Bernie is Coz’s Dad. Which we all know. Quiet American I believe is known more now for his Daughters and their offfspring. But is is a great horse that I just absolutely love. And, No No No, he is not quiet. Not at All. He was very very vocal the day I was there. Sure wanted out of his stall. People at Darley said they did not know where he got that name from. Sure did not describe him. He is really getting on up there now in age and I worry about him. But last I talked to them at Darley they said he was doing good. He is around 28. Now Holy Bull the day I was there he was on the ground resting in his stall, but he to is a beauty. I did not bother his rest at all. He won many stakes races in his time and sired many very good horses. He was ridden by our Mike Smith. So sorry if I wrote a book but I love them all so much. Please forgive me.
shirleeinindy
Peggy,
Don’t apologize for sharing your experiences with these wonderful horses. We all have our favorites and visits with them and others. It is fun to read about others meeting the Champs and good to know there is somewhere I can tell my tales of seeing and meeting the greats and also the not so greats!

Today at Sandown we say goodbye to a sporting legend Anthony Peter McCoy will ride his last.We dared to believe this day would never come but sadly age catches up with us all even AP.Being more a fan of horses than jockeys he earned my respect and admiration. His sheer determination to win and get the best out of a horse even when riding while injured(he did have a punctured lung once!!!)Jumps will go on in the UK and Ireland and we will have horses to love and support but there will never be another AP and he gets to keep his trophy today for winning his 20th consecutive jockeys title. You’ll be missed AP.Live long and happy in your retirement with your lovely family. We were blessed you rode in our lifetime.Love and hugs SheenaX

American Pharoah will keep special foot plate in Derby
by Jay Privman Daily Racing Form 04/25/2015 2:50PM
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – American Pharoah has been racing and training with a plate covering part of the sole of his left front foot, and on Saturday, trainer Bob Baffert said he would keep that plate in place for the Kentucky Derby, in which American Pharoah is expected to be the favorite.

Dear Peggy (N) South Georgia,
Hope you have had a restful saturday so far. Thank you so much for the loving write up, I knew you would write with love about those gentlemen whom you love so much. Your love for them came through and I thoroughly enjoyed the read. Thank you for taking the time to humor me.
Like Shirleeinindy said, there is no reason to apologize writing or talking about those greats you love so much. That is the only way their memories will live on and get more people to know about them and love them. Am not horse savvy but getting there at Z Nation. Again, thankyou. Now we know where my love, the one and only first Prince gets his temperament from. It is well and we all love him for being Cozmic One.
Have a good rest of the weekend and I hope to read more of your posts. Praying for all the youngsters getting ready for the first leg of the triple crown. Am worried about American Pharoah who will be running with that contraption on his sole, I’ll be praying for him. Reminds me of my Big boy, Big Brown and what happened to him at the Belmont run after that injury. It was unfair but then, that’s the sports. Almost made me lose interest in horse racing until the queen came along and Rags to Riches beat Curlin. Yes I’ll be praying for the Big boy to come home safe win or lose.
I write too much so this is a good time to stop. Remain Blessed. It is always well at Z Nation where love abounds. Much love to all.
