Very sad. Simonsig was a great gray. Big loss to racing. He reminds me of Thousand Stars.
sheena.davies(wales)
They are all sad at Seven Barrows.A beautiful love affair though.Triolo seems alright but who knows what is going through his mind.
Max
Agree. He’s sure to miss his buddy. He’s a trooper for carrying on nevertheless with his work. Routine might be a comfort in this situation for a horse.
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Sheena,
Two beautiful buddies. Very sad, but I hope Triolo can come through and move on. He is a gorgeous chestnut. I am glad he had a work day to help him focus on normal routine.

November 17 Cherokee Devotional
Somewhere deep within us is a likeness to others that defies the most drastic difference we believe exists. If it were not so, we would know no compassion, feel no love, and have no understanding. It is true that we are very different. Perhaps you can’t stand what and who I am, but on the other hand, I might not like you very much either. But that would be totally different if we were ever to get to know each other. Sometimes people aren’t what we think they are-and we aren’t what they think we are-because time has taught us to protect our vulnerability. But there is a spark of spirit that penetrates that protection, and it helps us say to the most unlikely person, “You poor unholy thing. I like you anyway.” When we do, do we know that we are talking to ourselves?
We at once gave you our hearts. You now have them.
-Satank, Kiowa
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Kathy.Such wise words again. It has certainly been stormy in parts of Wales and England today, very windy and colder in Carmarthen but it was dry while I shopped.A lot of trees are down between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth(near the dyfi) and some power cuts.We have had quiet autumnal weather up to now.Ground is soft for Haydock Saturday and Aidan Coleman will get the ride on Coneygree if Dickie Johnson isn’t available.Sam TD should be back late November.
Felix has made it to over90,000 likes and she got a scarf from Frisky. She has put Huddersfield on the map. There’s a great video of a horse kicking a protester in Ontario she had slapped him instant karma!!We are still a Christian country but the BBC want Friday prayers because they think they are biased.Sick!
Poor Miss Diane isn’t very well I told Zoe to put her nurses uniform on.Hope she gets well soon Zoe likes to go out and about!President elect Mr Fibbs has to pace himself until he gets his hat back.Milo is his scientific abvisor and he has his cabinet posts to fill.
Just heard they were tornadoes in Wales this morning wind speeds of 94mph Ooops!
The Bransby website has changed a lot since I visited last I placed my order yesterday.Mike Harries says Triolo is the sweetest horse you could hope to meet and he hopes he could win the Hennessy again for his buddy Simon. He and Amelia had met him at a Lambourn open dayHave a great Friday eve.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

Oh no, that slap should also come with an arrest. Hope so! Assaulting a Police Officer.
Crazy times.
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Ann,
I agree. That was definitely assaulting an officer.
Crazy times indeed!
Hugs and Love
Max
The police laid criminal charges against the people who attacked the horse. You cannot assault police animals without consequences in Canada. The horse, Murney, however did not wait around for court proceedings for justice to prevail. She kicked her tormenter. She is a new recruit to the local police force. The RCMP do not carry out provincial policing in Ontario. Those RCMP horses however don’t kid around either.
sheena.davies(wales)
I heard the woman might be jailed. Those who were filming were laughing. What on earth does the horse have to do with BLM.She was only doing her job.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Sheena, Ann, Marshall and Max:
Glad to hear charges have been filed against the people who assaulted this police horse. Well done Murney! She channeled Hudson. Love and Hugs, JB
Max
The punishment can be $10K and up to 18 months in jail. It happened during a college homecoming. The horse appears to have already settled the score. She was not spooked by the incidents either. Stayed calm. She’s a nice horse too.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
I saw the pics you posted of the downed trees. Stay safe! I’m glad it was dry when you were shopping. We have some wind here today, too. I never enjoy it…very frenetic! Congratulations, Felix! Such a beautiful cat! Good for the horse kicking the protester! Instant karma, indeed! Yes, I read that Diane had flu symptoms. I hope Zoe took good care of her! She is better today, thankfully. President Fibbs and Milo were enjoying a yummy looking chocolate drink together. So good to see Milo feeling better. I hope the tornadoes are a long way from Carmarthen! Good luck to Triolo! Lovely hearing about his sweet disposition. Happy Friday Eve. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Thoroughbred U is wholeheartedly dedicated to Sport of Kings. I have such a personal passion for the horses that I have a tendency to make the Thoroughbreds the focus. On the day when we remember Zenyatta’s retirement from racing I think it is an important moment to pay due respect to the jockey.

E lis e, Cherokee grandmother, said, “Always look behind the stick that stirs.” It will tell you if there is any truth in what is being touted. Ask yourself: What are people’s motives? Who supports a certain idea or plan? Does something prosper or not?
Do not be fooled by what you see. Filter what you hear for worthless impurities, and go beyond your natural senses for deeper meanings and purposes. Keep your understanding free and observant, for there is much that will obscure it. Nothing is so exclusive that you cannot have access to the truth. And remember always to look behind the stick that stirs.
I sat by the sun and the earth I live on, I want to talk straight and tell the truth.

Dear Kathy.I need to keep a lookout for the stick that stirs.Much colder but brighter here today but snow in the north even a few flakes down as far as Somerset (David Pipe’s horses training).Looks as if it will be a hard slog at Haydock tomorrow but our jumpers are used to the conditions.I had no idea Mouse was in the ER with neurological issues she is back home though and seems better.Poor Dr Jill.Mr Fibbs picked the mobie for the family last night well he is President after all!I love his profile on LinkedIn.Judy and Nay have been so busy packing for the move and Nay is going to cook the turkey for Thanksgiving. They will most a photo!!Judy began thinking of Katybug and felt she was leaving her.I recall feeling the same when I moved I told Katie I would carry her and all the memories in my heart forever.
A British child has been cryogentically preserved after her death from cancer last month. There was a bitter battle between her parents and the case went to court but it was the girl’s wish Our papers couldn’t report it until after midnight. Her body is in the US now.For me though it goes against the natural order of things if there finally is a cure for cancer in a few hundred years time who on earth would she know if woken up successfully and in a strange country but I do not criticise it was her final wish.
Oh Hovis had a great time at YHL and he is now a STAR of the equine world but we all knew that.Annie Power and Faugheen will be back for the December festival,
That poor dog reminded me of that sheep that was found in New Zealand a few years ago and he was called ShrekThinking of Ray and Cheryl today.

Dear Sheena,
I has cooled down here, too! We will be needing heat soon. It’s very changeable here, though. We might need the heat today and in a week’s time it might be in the 90s! Crazy. I was so worried about little Mouse. She’s so tine and fragile. Thankfully she’s doing well now. Loved the discussion about the chicken mobie! They had popcorn, too. The fun never stops in that house…Things are very busy at Judy and Nan’s! Moving, Thanksgiving, leaving Katie. I can definitely relate to their feelings about leaving Katie. As you say, our furbabies will live on forever in our hearts. Bless all of them. Sad to hear about that family whose child was cryogenically preserved after death and then a battle ensued. I would never do that, but if that’s what the little girl wanted, then so be it. Yes, loved the report from Hovis. He had a great time! What lucky people who met him! I was horrified by the condition of that poor dog. Doesn’t look like the same animal. Thank God he’s being cared for. I remember that sheep. So sad when animals are neglected. Yes, thinking of and praying for Ray and Cheryl. I’m always relieved when the treatment is behind them! I’m always in awe of the UK’s LONG history. The US is still a baby country by comparison. I hope you have a great Friday and will have fun this weekend. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Oh,Thank you for this tribute to our beloved Kauto.I always remember his first betfair and tomorrow it will be exactly 5yrs since his”comeback” race.I too believe he could have won another triple crown if not for the fall while schooling. He was the class horse in the race.We were privileged to see this giant of a steeplechaser in our lifetime.I will always feel sad everything turned sour in his retirement.I just don’t care to think of his tragic end it upsets me too much.I prefer to remember him on the racecourse.
Annie didn’t work well this week according to Willie and Faugheen has a bruise on his hoof.Dickie Johnson will ride Coneygree.
Max
He was magic to watch. I love his last King George. Terrific win. He also had tons of character. He could not tolerate being around Masterminded, and let that horse know it every day. I laugh when I think of that.
