So, Bob Baffert told Rafael to stay away from it.

We feel so alone at times. Even when others are with us, we look for that kindred spirit that may not have appeared yet. At other times we may be physically alone, but still have the deep knowledge that we are connecting with One more akin to us than a brother or sister. If we are wise, we will not always look to our own understanding. Instead, we will listen for the inner voice that tells us where to walk, when to turn right, and when to turn left. When we listen to the voice of the One within , we will know real peace.
From Wankan tanka comes wisdom and power to heal.

Happy National Friendship Day! That’s about the time the pups want to get up, then they sleep all day while we’re at work! lol Stay dry in the rain. I hope Tegid gets his fill! I’ll have to search for Emyr’s blog. Loved that pic on Boo of the three of them. We have been a long time without our Joey. Saratoga: Graded Stakes Winner Recepta Fractures Pelvis During Routine Gallop
by Paulick Report Staff | 08.05.2016
Talented turf mare Recepta, winner of the 2015 G3 Noble Damsel Stakes, suffered a fractured pelvis while galloping over Saratoga’s main track Friday morning.
The Daily Racing Form reports that the 5-year-old daughter of Speightstown is currently resting comfortably at Rood and Riddle in Saratoga. Trainer Jimmy Toner told the Form that Recepta will not undergo surgery.
“The next 30 to 45 days are crucial,” Toner said. “Just stall rest. They have to be standing; you can’t allow them to get up and down. If they do, they can refracture that and cause another problem.”

Dear BGG,
I hope Recepta will heal completely and without problems or complications. Sending positive thoughts and prayers for recovery. Be a good patient, brave girl — stay calm and quietly mend.

US born horse Caravaggio can blast away at 45 mph to take the win at the Curraugh. He’s a handsome gray son of Scat Daddy, and the fastest horse that Ballydoyle has ever trained. Reminds one of how Lady Aurelia, another Scat Daddy juvenile, did the same at Ascot. A son of War Front was second today.

Cara is a magnificent racer. Very impressive in that dark steel gray coat. Seamy rode because Ryan Moore is out of action on rest leave. The colt did everything right. Scat Daddy must be proud of his kids. They are lightning fast.

Your beloved Far From Over is in the 9th race at Saratoga tomorrow; coincidentally, it’s the Alydar Stakes. JV aboard. Post time 5:40 PM EST. You can watch it live at nyra.com. Registration is free and only take a couple of minutes to sign up.
Godspeed beautiful boy; safe and sound. Love and Hugs, JB

This morning, refreshing breezes blew up from the river bottom to cool shaded places where pockets of warm air were trapped. Summer subtly signals a change of season long before it actually happens. Something similar happens for us. We waver when we sense change, when we know the season of our lives is beginning to shift into something new, but we can’t quite tell what it is. We detect something but have nothing to prove it. We can only wait and see what will come in the days ahead. The deer lifts its head to catch a scent of something different in the woods. Should it be afraid? We do the same-testing, sniffing the breezes that run hot and cool. We need this lull, this period of adjustment to study, to gather wisdom-and then move into the change.
It has come to me through the bushes…that you are not ready.
