Happy Monday!
Ziconic is on his fourth month of early training under Jeanne Mayberry, and we went to Ocala earlier this month to visit.
We arrived early on a Monday to find him excited to start the day. He has the same routine that Coz did this time last year. He’s even in his brother’s old stall.
We watched Ziconic’s morning workout and then hung out around his paddock while he enjoyed the Florida sunshine. He loves peppermints just like his mom, and we had plenty on hand.
At the end of the day, Ziconic even got to FaceTime with Zenyatta.
We didn’t leave without asking Jeanne, April, and Jackie to answer questions from this fans. Check back next week for a Mayberry Farm edition of Ask The Experts.
Ziconic has an official Facebook page! Like him here.
Enjoy!

Oh My Goodness!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for the latest report on Ziconic along with the fabulous photos! Your generosity in sharing the lives of Zenyatta and her family is such a wonderful gesture and I am so grateful to all of Team Z for letting us feel a part of it all. Ziconic is growing into such a very beautiful horse. Stunning, absolutely stunning and I just keep running out of words for these boys. Thank you!!

What a beautiful boy. Wish him all the best.

Yes, I was hoping this would be the day for the updates on The Mosses’ visit with Ziconic. His full picture looking straight at the camera is stunning. He already has muscles upon muscles in his chest, neck and legs. I do see Tapit in him. Well balanced. I like that that Zenny is bred to different horses to achieve the best attributes of both. He seems sweet and calm. Thanks Team Z as always for including us. John was too busy with Coz this time to visit I bet like before. Guess we’ll see if Zi is next in line. Just love this family!

The wounded frequently want to hurt others. Meanness is not always involved but an unconscious bitterness that wants to control. The worst wounds are not always physical. Some who have suffered psychological wounds are bent on full payment whether or not it is due. The pity of it is, the wounded is the only one that cannot escape. Pain and unforgiveness are replayed day after day-as though sadness is an honorable reason never to heal. Whole lifetimes are given to demanding respect and veneration-for no other reason than life has dealt them a wound, a wound that would heal if there were a little love.
A man ought to desire that which is genuine instead of that which is artificial.

What a rush!! ZI looks like a force to behold. All that beauty and power wrapped in copper shine, where will go from here? My heart beats faster as I dream of his future.
maureen ph[llips
Dear Jan Overman, you must be a writer!, your play of words is incredible, now am not sure who is cuter, your play of words or the Handsome Prince?. “What a rush, all that beauty and Power wrapped up in copper shine”, who comes up with that?,absolutely stunning. Thank you.

Dear Kathy.Such beautiful photos of Ziconic. He sure is a handsome boy!!!I remember reading that POW’s who forgave their captors lived longer happier lives.Forgiveness heals us.It’s Democracy day over here, the 750th anniversary of elected representatives in what was known as the De Montfort parliament.Of course, the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta is on June 15th.
Mango’s mum Judy seems very unhappy think it’s because she feels homesick.Maybe a mistake to move all that way from friends and family.I had missed the news Boo and Buddy had been on a trip to LA and the human still has her Christmas tree up.We had an advert on tv the other night to save for this Christmas!!!Haven seems a lot better after his mishap with a plastic bag!Duke won the dog of the week!Zoe was so pleased with her gift from Gizmo!!My auntie always used to sing “catch a falling star”to me and another she loved was “que sera sera”Glad you had a lovely day off.Have a good day back at work!!Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
I’n always so happy when we get new pics of Zenyatta and her boys. Yes, Ziconic looks just wonderful. Quite stunning. Democracy Day and anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta. Two extremely important dates. That’s too bad that Mango’s mom is maybe regretting her decision to move. It’s hard to be away from family and friends. Wish I had known Boo and Buddy had been in LA. I always find out after the fact! Glad Haven is better. Congratulations to Duke! Zoe is a joy…she sure loves Gizmo! I remember Catch a Falling Star very well, also Que Sera Sera. Have a wonderful day today and take care of yourself. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

For Marshall,Sheena,Judy B.–and any others concerned about Barnaby—–I got a message from Katie, our barn manager, that his temp. continues to be normal and that his nose is now perfect!! For safety’s sake she will monitor him today and then put them back in their paddock tomorrow. Whew!! I didn’t know how worried I really WAS until I heard the message and burst into tears in relief!!
Marshall,Christmas here really IS just magical–there are lights everywhere and more holiday activities than a person can keep up with.
One of my favorite “lottery ” plans is to fly Zsters here who want to meet Barnaby in person to have a vacation and Zenny reunion here in Sun Valley Can’t think of a more fun use of a windfall like that!! Would want Sheena and Kathy R. to come too!! Wouldn’t that be fun?? Big drean,so-o-o I’d better win BIG money!!
Judy B.–Hope your Christmas card and photo finally got there. I didn’t have the right address first time I mailed it. Silly me!! I look forward to hearing more about the donkey–just love hearing about Angela’s “zoo”!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day!! Kisses on the soft noses of Zenny, Coz, and Prince Zi—can you feel them on the wind??? May Princess Z always be reminded how much she is loved and missed!!
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
I’m way behind here, Sue, but I did see your previous post and am glad to know that Barnaby is on the mend.

Hi Ziconic:
Well now, you look terrific!! I must say you are very handsome!!!
What I really noticed in all the pictures is that you look very happy and content!! You look like you are really enjoying what you are doing. That must have been the highlight of your visit when you got some face time with your mom!!!!
You are very lucky to be in Florida where it’s warm. It’s too cold in NJ.
Dear Team Z:
Thank you so much for sharing these great photos with us.
Take care Ziconic.
We love you!!

The day God created this young Prince, he said, I only have one job at hand today, and thats creating this prince who is nothing but Perfection. I look at him and I say to myself, if I didn’t know any better I’ll be dialing up his make up artist. His picture in the second frame, is absolutely stunning, his skin or should I say his coat is flawless like the most perfectly applied makeup, his eyes has the most perfectly applied eyeliner and his mane and tail, perfection.I am lost for words to express myself and maybe I should as Jan to help me out. All in all, I am stunned into silence as to the elegance of this Prince. I have enjoyed reading everyones posting and my heart just swells with such pride. Thankyou to Ann and Jerry Moss and all those entrusted with the care of the Queen and her Princes.
