Isn’t this a great article?? Steve has done it again and tells the story in such an interesting way ?

Thanks, Elizabeth! This was a fascinating read. Her races were an inspirational to me at a challenging time in my life. I was at Keeneland the night they mentioned. It was an 8 hr. round trip drive and the high that day was 18. Truly one of the more senseless things I’ve done in a long time and I’m SO glad I did it! ;) It was electric. My wish is for her to live a healthy, long, happy life.

Great read. Thank you. Loved the comments. I know for sure our Zenny kept my head above water when I needed it most.

Dear Elizabeth and Z Fans:
Elizabeth, thank you for posting this wonderful article on Z by Steve Haskin. He points out interesting insights into Zenyatta (that I was not aware of) and the many factors in racing that can affect a horse’s performance. Truly proves once again what an incredibly talented race horse Z was.
Sorry to hear of the passing of Steve Willard, Z’s exercise rider and friend. Rest In Peace. Love and Hugs, JB
Elizabeth in NM
Dear Judy,
Yes, Steve Willard was one of Zenny’s best friends for a long time. They had real rhythm together. He was kind and loving to her, and helped keep her in great athletic shape. It is so sad that he’s gone on. Maybe he’s exercising our horses in heaven for when we all get there. I like to think of that. Hope you have a good day, and it’s not too cold there.
with love, Elizabeth

Hovis recalls his exciting week starting with CNSM’s visit and how he coped with the men in red coats “visiting” the yard. Our boy is no wimp only when it comes to yellow perils.Seems now they are poking their little heads up in his driveway. They have been blooming in Wales since December!Plus he “tidied”the Boss Lady’s lawn.Oops!Safe trips to all horses and jockeys this weekend.Thinking of you Zi!Sheena

Dear Sheena,
Gosh, Hovis was so impressive dealing with the hunt going through his yard! “Good Boy” indeed! Not sure why he’s terrified of those yellow perils. Maybe if he ate some of them he wouldn’t mind them so much! TGIF everyone. Enjoy the weekend ahead. GO ZICONIC!
Hugs, Kathy

Dear Sheena:
Thanks for our Hovis update. Always makes me smile. Love and Hugs, JB

February 19 Cherokee Devotional
Control is a touchy subject, because it makes us think we can do anything and say anything and no one has a right to challenge us. Control should be bound by friendship-not necessarily with those who are under our control but friendship with ourselves. If people love and respect themselves, they will love and respect others as well. Do good to others, but do good to yourself as well. Stop and think what you must look like to others. Are you overbearing? Is it your nature to get what you want by treading on the feelings of others? Kindness takes only a few minutes, and heals many wounds.
If all would talk and then do what you have done, the sun of peace would shine forever.
-Satank, Kiowa
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Kathy,
Great devotional! Very wise advice — we would all be better off if we followed this to the letter. It would be a more peaceful world and much kinder, too. Thanks!
