Happy Monday!
Zenyatta’s colts are now both at Belmont Park with John Shirreffs.
Ziconic recently graduated from training at Mayberry Farm, where he was galloping every day and picking up speed. He arrived at Belmont over the weekend, joining his older brother Coz. Dottie tells us that Ziconic has a wonderful attitude about training and is one happy horse!
We’ll be visiting the boys this week. Updates to come!

This is the Moment I have been waiting for!! I just have a hunch that this will be the one to watch and follow in the future. Dynamic breeding, loved this colt early on. He has a certain gleam in his eyes that tells a futuristic story book. (Of course his superb conformation is another key in these factorings…;-)

He looks so cute!

I have had , “a feeling,’ about this one , as well…… such dramatically different personalities…..I believe Coz’s more serious, intense personality, makes him more challenging…. I believe they are equally gifted and talented…. maybe the younger one will light a fire under his brother….. the competition thing……

Wow! So exciting. The boys are together under the same great Trainer.
Diane
The Queen’s two boys together with John Sherriffs. What could be more perfect!
martha walton
are they running in the Belmont?
lauraj_cincinnati
No, neither is running in the Belmont. Cozmic One does not have the experience or the resume–he’s only had one start, in which he did not perform well. Ziconic is only two, and the Belmont (and other Triple Crown races) are for 3-year-olds. Ziconic has not raced yet. If (big if) he proves to be good enough, he could theoretically be in next year’s Belmont.

Tapit’s are notabley precosious and run at 2 Ziconic may
surprise us and run at the end of this year, maybe the 2 year old
champion. At Lanes End they talked about his work ethic as a yearling
as being KY Derby bound, and like all Tapit’s they are speedy. Maybe he
can have some discussions with CoZ.
Mary
Wow! Wonderful news, so happy that John now has both of the boys in his barn. I know he will do what is best for them.

There’s my handsome boy! I hope Ziconic makes a new kitty friend while he’s at Belmont. Mr. Sherriffs will find, I think, that Zi has a much more laid-back personality than his Big Brother Coz and will LOVE to train and run. After all, when he was only days old, Zi had no problem keeping up with Zenyatta as they ran around the paddock together which I think is incredibly impressive considering Zenny’s running stride is huge! Channel your great-great-great Grandpa while you’re at Belmont, Zi, and learn from his legacy. He made history on that track…literally! Most importantly, stay safe! Love you lots, Ziconic!

Thank you Team Z for the update on Ziconic’s progress. Sooooo glad he is in the best of hands with John. Zi looks so cute pictured in his new stall. He is a kind boy and any updates received are always appreciated. :-)

so exciting keep us posted as no longer have access to a real horse racing network thanks

I am so excited to see Ziconic!! I love his look!!! I think he will definitely be a force in the future!! He’s so beautiful!! It is my dream to go and see one of Zenyatta’s babies run!! Maybe this one will be the one?? Seeing her run was one of the greatest moment’s of my life!! Her last run was THE most memorable!!! Incredible on what she did!!! I don’t know how anyone can argue that it was one of the most amazing runs in horse racing history!! Look forward to seeing Ziconic and Coz continue in their careers!!! I love how much these horses are so well cared for and loved!!! The best horses come from people who take the best care of them and show them affection and are not seen as just money signs!!! So much respect and admiration for everyone involved in their campaigns!!!!
Kathy
What a wonderful Monday Treat! Thank you, Team, Z!!! He looks FANTASTIC!!!

I am so glad to see Ziconic with JS and Coz. I hope they are stabled where they can see each-other. I think Zi might have a calming influence on Coz. I can’t wait to hear more about him, his talent, and his personality. He seems to be more like Z, a little laid back. Best of luck to both sons of Z and the entire Team and trainer who cares for them!

♥ I knew it!!! The two boys would be stable mates at Belmont. :-)
This is so exciting! He looks awesome! I can hear it how: Smack talk LOL
I cannot wait to see photos and, hopefully, video of both boys! Thank you for sharing
Auntie Judy is beyond ecstatic!!! XO ♥

Stuff like: “My dad is bigger than your dad!” ;-)

Bernie is taller, but Tapit makes more money in stud fees.

Oh my gosh, I cant stand it – so SO excited!!! Altho, I didnt expect Zi to graduate so soon. Maybe he’s coming along faster than his brother & his mom?
lauraj_cincinnati
Actually, both Coz and Zenyatta went to John as 2-year-olds. It’s just that they didn’t hit the track for a long time. The Mosses have the luxury of being able to afford to maintain horses that are late bloomers. Ziconic may start at 2, or he may wait until he’s 3. I think a lot of us are speculating that he’ll hit the track before year end–because of his pedigree and because we’ve been told that he is easy going–but we don’t really know.

What wonderful news! Zi is at John’s barn with big bro, Coz. I have a very good feeling about this guy and think he may be running sooner rather than later.
Coz just needs a bit more time IMO and he’ll be making his mark on the track. Thanks, Team Z, for this latest blog.

Great to see Ziconic at Belmont near his brother.I know mum Zenyatta will be so happy her Princes are together! He looks absolutely gorgeous.Love and hugs SheenaX
Tizgood
So very true, Her chestnut prince and dark brown prince; maybe Ziconic’s laid back
ersonality might help CoZ. I think CoZ has the first born perfectionistic personality
with a little scattering, but he is gorgeous and a little late blooming. Ziconic is going
to be precoscious likehis Sire.
Tizgood
ersonality is personality
sue and tony
What a great photo of the handsome, Zi. We’re thrilled to learn he’s with John at Belmont…it seems as if he’s a bit more like mom in personality which should make it a bit easier for John.
Best of luck to him and our first Prince Cozmic One!

This is such wonderful news! Happy Dance over here!!!! Can wait for more updates!

Oh my gosh!!! I have happy tears flowing! Haven’t even read what anyone else has written. Must get composed then I will read. Wonderful, just wonderful.

What a nice surprise! Beautiful boy! I have a picture of you and your mama, that I bought from your mama’s website, in my office. It is so exciting to know you are at Belmont. Be good and mind your manners!

Awwww! Zenyatta’s babies are growing up!!

How exciting! Can’t wait for the update!

Wonderful news!! I’ve always believed Ziconic was going to be a powerhouse! Hopefully we’ll get to see him in action later this year! Can’t wait! He’s going to be a firecracker on the track!
Good luck, Ziconic! So happy you are with your brother. Stay safe and happy!
Love,

I can’t wait to see what he can do!!

Happy to read that just about everyone else thinks that Ziconic is going to be “the one;” I hope there will be lots of photos and progress updates. Good luck & stay happy, big boy.

Roxanne,
No not everyone does, I’m not so quick to judge. I think CoZ is gorgeous and because of his size will take longer to mature. Most of the posters love chestnuts and Zi is very flashy and because he’s smaller will probably mature faster. Don’t understand the temperament issue because so many on the blog laughed about Dynaformer’s mean temperament. I don’t think CoZ is mean I just feel he doesn’t get enough exercise as even JS said he can’t tire him out. I love both boys and am surprised at so many negative comments about CoZ…..guess I just felt like speaking my piece.
pamhomeier
Sue I have to agree with you. I love Ziconic a lot but I think CoZ will always be my favorite. Maybe because he was Zenny’s first. I felt so badly for him in his first race. But I hope he just didn’t understand what he needed to do. Fingers crossed for his next race! Pam
Deana in Tx
So glad to hear some positives about our boy Coz! Z still had not made her debut in this timeframe because she needed time to mature and grow. Coz is no different. He is very talented but mentally he has growing pains that John wiil work on. He just needs time and our support. I hope to see an end to negativity about Coz. If you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing at all is my motto.
Jan S. / Houston
That’s wonderful! Gonna be fun to watch the two! Especially their personalities!
Ellen
Thank you for the update. Can not wait for more news and pictures

Dear. Mr. & Mrs. Moss, John & Dottie, Team Shirreffs and Team Zenyatta!
Thank you for this rainy Monday gift. Our boys…how handsome they both are!! Ziconic looks quite happy, and I truly hope CoZ is as well. Do either or both have posters of their Mother, Our Queen, in their stalls?!?! They are in such wonderful and talented hands. High hooves and three whinnies for our Godsons being at Belmont with John!!!! The excitement of the next couple of weeks should give them valuable experience.
Take Care, and Love to All,
Mary in Boone

♥ Mary,
When CoZ was here in California at Santa Anita they did provide a picture of Momma for CoZ to see :-)
Mary Darden McLeod
I had read that and wondered if it travelled to NY with CoZ. Of course, if Ziconic sees it, he will want one too…those dreaded younger brothers/sisters!!!! LOL
Delrene from Carlsbad, Ca
Thank you so much for this wonderful uplifting Monday morning news. Both are with the best of the best. Looking forward to updates and some photos. Thank you so much for keeping us in touch with Zenyatta’s world.

Dear Team Z:
Thanks for this update on ZI. Wow, how cool is this; the Princes together with JS. Love and Hugs to all of you, JB

JudyB. That is a great photo of Ziconic. Love that long piece of hay hanging from his mouth as he looks straight at the camera. He’s cool.

Dear Max:
Oh, so cool. I just love both of Z’s boys. So different and both so very beautiful. I think ZI is built more like his Dad, Tapit and COZ, more like Z and Street Cry. Godspeed and safe and sound to both of them always. Love and Hugs, JB

Yippee! Coz and Zi together with John — a perfect picture! I was hoping this would happen but you never know how things work out. Thank you, Team Z for the update. Can’t wait to see photos and/or videos of these boys in action. Each is so beautiful and truly special in his own way.
I think I need to begin planning my first visit to Belmont Park….. think John will receive visitors?
