She delivered a healthy colt by Tapit at 11:47 pm EST on Monday April 1. Estimated at 145 lbs, he is a leggy chestnut with a white blaze similar to Zenyatta’s. Eager to start his new life, he was standing on his own by 12:18 am and nursing within an hour.
Both are doing so very well, and it’s a joy to see how much Zenyatta loves being a mom.
Thank you to all of the fans who have been following The Queen and sending good wishes and blessings. It worked!
We can’t wait to spend the day with little 13Z tomorrow, and there will be many more pictures to come!

Congrats to all – Best feeling in the world – just waiting on The Famous National Hunt Mare Christdalo to have her foal in the next few days – You can look up her races on you tube under Christdalo – Zenyatta is such a fabulous mare – Sadly Christdalo never got to reach her full potential as she got injured on her first run in Cheltenham for David Pipes Yard and never recovered – but we all look forward to her off spring -just like Zenyatta -Keep up the good work and keep smiling :-)

I’m guessing he will be gray. I’m no expert on genetics, but his sire is gray and dam has no chestnuts in her first two generations and only one (dam’s BMS Forli) in her third).

He will be chestnut.
Tapit has the recessive gene for chestnut and has sired chestnuts before as well as grays. V, Zenyatta’s dam, has the chestnut recessive as she foaled a chestnut colt in her career and it would appear that Zenyatta carries the chestnut recessive as well.
