Happy Monday!
We celebrated Zenyatta’s birthday at Lane’s End last week with carrots, pears, yams, mints, cupcakes, and even Guinness! Fans sent birthday cards and cakes for Zenyatta and Ziconic, who shares his birthday with his mom. Scroll down for photos from our party.

Is anyone lucky enough to be going to Santa Anita tomorrow to watch Coz?? I will have the TV on, wishing I were there!!!
Terry Crow
@Sandy, Pam, Judy, Shirlee, Ann, Marshall and Peggy-Glad you enjoyed the latest. I have been busy converting old jokes that I knew in another form to RN jokes. Here is one–a RN woman went to see the doctor. After he had performed his exam and ran some tests, the doctor said “Well, Daisy, I have some news for you. You are pregnant.” Daisy then said “Tell me doctor. I have been active these days. Is it mine?”
Marty R / Colorado
Oh, no, Terry. Glad no one is here right now. I can’t stop laughing. Also can’t imagine what this joke was like in its original form. I think I’m warped….this is funny. Thanks for the laugh.
shirleeinindy
Darn Terry, you always get me. Thanks for the laugh. Keep ’em coming.

Dear TC GP:

Anyone else get an email from Team Zenyatta regarding a special Friday celebration of Coz? No sleep for me, beyond excited! Getting off work early too.
Karen R.
Yes, I got the email. Looking forward to the photos tomorrow of Coz’s preparations for his first race. It’s exciting but I’m not sure I can take watching the race live. A bit nervous, but I will think only positive thoughts for our special boy.
maureen ph[llips
Dear Karen, me and you both. It is well.
shirleeinindy
Yes, I got the email. Wow, what a day it is going to be.
We have to remember that all he needs to do is run his race and come home safely. Many young horses don’t do to well there first time out and go on to be champs!
Run safely sweet boy. All your aunties and grannies are watching.
Crystal Harrison
Best of luck Coz tomorrow! I’ll be watching on my computer since I live in British Columbia, Canada. I will be eagerly watching the whole thing from when they start the walk in the paddock all the way through your very first race.
Try not to be too nervous dear heart. leave all that to the scores of people around the world who will be watching with baited breath and some nail chewing thrown in! Get this first race behind you, listen to your jockey, do what he says and then let your awesome pedigree and talent do the rest! ♥
maureen ph[llips
So well written, Ditto that.
Sue Fredrick Happy as a lark
Hope we can all get some sleep tonight and stop worrying about CoZ, he’s got a special “angel” watching over him from above. Was reading about the other horses in the race and he does have some good competition, all of them have run before, he’s the only newbie in the group. It’s not the best post position for him, according to JS but hopefully it will be a positive experience and if he places that would be great!! JS thinks he has unlimited potential if he can just harness that energy and Victor can settle him down. Mama Zen I hope you get to see your prince run tomorrow, they should set up a tv in your stall. Well hope we all make it through this nerve wracking race with our sanity…….it’s so hard to be aunties and uncles to a race horse. hugs
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear Sweet Sue:
Yes, there’s an Angel watching over Cozzie. Love and Hugs, JB

For some reason, am getting calm and I think that’s a good thing. Go Coz,, go, fly like the wind, God is with you; It is well.
Nancy
I can’t believe Zenyatta is 11!! I’m lucky I get home from work about 10 minutes before the race tomorrow. Yeah!!
maureen ph[llips
Dear Nancy, me neither, I was so sure someone was lying , how can it be?, where did time go?, but there you have it . Am glad am not the only one who felt that way so thanks. Am happy you’re not anxiously awaiting the Prince’s first race!. I don’t know what I will be doing what with Donna saying she thought Coz looked like he was prancing while being schooled. It is well. Have a blissfully restful sleep for we all have a date with tomorrow and Coz.
sheena.davies(wales)
Safe and sound is all that matters Coz!!!Take everything in your stride and think of all the wise things your mum taught you!Love and hugs SheenaX

Hi Everyone, I read some of your comments re the Prince and his up coming race and it makes me realize that I am in a state of nothingness. I don’t know whether to cry, whether to get excited, whether to laugh or be in a state of induced coma; what is this?, I ask myself, I knew this day was coming so whats going on?. In God I will trust to see me through and help the Prince fly like the wind and put naysayer to sleep. I’ve stopped thinking of the hours or should I say minutes to the race. Coz will be fine, and will do his best, thats all we ask of him. It is well always in Z Nation.

On the DRF website there are tweet photos of Coz schooling in the paddock. I swear, he looks like he is prancing. I’m just beside myself. Gonna be a long night. Run like you stole it Coz. You’ve got an angel on your shoulder. Hugs and kisses, Auntie Donna.
maureen ph[llips
Dear Donna,
You are killing me, I haven’t stopped laughing. Tomorrow will be interesting if his prancing. No matter how it ends, it is well and he will forever be our Prince Cozmic One. He was born to run so am not worried, he will be just fine, You know how I know?, a couple of years ago my little niece went for her first taekwondo competition and while the other kids were busy going over their moves, she was busy rolling on the mat and totally not even looking our way, we knew it was going to be a long day and we had nothing to do than to accept the obvious. But Donna, when her turn came around, we almost fell out of our chairs!, who was that kid, thats what everyone was asking and the rest was history. Coz will do us proud. It is well. Have a good nights rest. Tomorrow will take care of itself and of Coz.

Some folks have made comments that CoZ is the only
First starter in the race and that he was prancing in the paddock;
I think if you added all of the miles for all of his works he
Has probably ran a few races, if he is prancing in the paddock
He is definitely ready- JS has put a huge amount of work into
Him and broke some really bad habit- he is truely a genius
Like Richard Mandella- they are both wizards that know how to
Really connect with horses. Richard Mandella used some very unique
Methods of training with Beholder-she was a real head case and now
She is a champion and most of her quirks have been worked through.

Dear Sheena,
Thanks bunches for the “Hovis report”! He is such a character and so cute, uh make that handsome. I don’t think Hovis would be pleased to be called cute — not manly enough.
Have a lovely weekend.

April 17 Cherokee Devotional
Don’t keep score. It is a tiresome thing, and if I give you something, it is yours, no strings attached. If you give me something I am grateful , but it is a kindness our friendship does not have to depend upon.
Who owes whom? Are we in competition? Is this a race where one person glows with accomplishment and the other sags from running and getting nowhere? No, there is no need to keep score, It wearies the soul and the spirit so that it cannot fit the slot of friendship.
O, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thought nor measure words.

Got the email re: Coz early this a.m. and have been antsy since. Oh what a day, my favorite baby’s first race. Was disappointed at the jockey tho, sry. So Coz, sugar, win this one for mommy Queen and sissy Princess. Be safe. Love, love, love you.
maureen ph[llips
Good morning to all,
Greetings in our Lords name, it is well. So, the day has finally come and we are now counting the minutes to race time. Here’s wishing the Prince the very best of Luck and us his aunties, calm and a belief that all is well. We have prayed so we leave it in God’s hands that his will be done. There is nothing more we can do. Blessings to all. Much love.
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Kathy.Thank you for the lovely card.Of course, being Welsh love daffodils!you must be all sooo excited today for Coz,I just hope his 1st experience of a race is an enjoyable one.He is bound to be nervous! It’s rather humid here today,a headachy sort of day.Looks much fresher on the dyfi.Thinking of Fubu visiting the doc today bless him so many trips to the surgery.I loved the post about Zoe and the little girl.My cousin had a swing and I used to fly high!No health and safety issues in those days.
Had to love Mango’s comment for a rather unpleasant post.she is a dog-child of God and there was no place for hate or anger in her heart. We could learn so much. Am looking forward to Hovis’ new book.Had to laugh at dad collecting the insurance.Poor Karen is going to be exhausted.Hope Hovis is having a great time with Dolly and will die happy lol.Have a wonderful Friday.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
You’re welcome! I love daffodils, too. One of the first signs of spring along with crocus and hyacinth. I’m extremely excited and nervous. I, along with everyone else here wish Coz a good first racing experience. Good thoughts for all the animals not feeling well. Thinking of Fubu, feel so bad for him. The story of Zoe and the little girl was wonderful. I have good swing memories from my childhood. Mango, a dog-child of God. You just have to love that! Another Hovis book! That’s fabulous. You have a wonderful Friday, too. Enjoy the weekend. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

Good morning Prince Cozmic One, so the day has finally come and I Praise the Lord that you are calm and prancing so am not worried. You have put in the work and all you can do is do your Best today. The Lord be with you and give his Angels Charge over you. Have fun today and be safe; Sending out prayer for a safe ride for Victor too. You two have worked hard and we will all accept what the Lord has willed for today. To all your connections, The Queen, Ann, Jerry, Dottie, John, Lanes End, Mayberry farm, your uncles and aunties, it is well. Much love to all and less pacing or nail biting. Coz aint worried.
Rosie
