Commentary included the following: “Zenyatta‘s victory, the first ever by a female in the Classic, is considered by many to be the greatest moment in the history of the Breeders’ Cup.”
The Review includes the race, and I never tire of watching it: This time I took more notice of Z coming out of the gate looking several times, left to right, bobbing again to the left and then to the right, sizing up the field, and she settles in to a steady rhythm trailing the field, as usual. Then that unbelievable run to finish a length in front of Gio Ponti. Just takes my breath away.

On this day in 2005 at Exeter racecourse our beloved Triple Gold Cup winner Best Mate collapsed and died.His ashes are interred by the winning post at Prestbury Park.I will always remember the sunny day in 2003 when he won his 2nd gold cup.He was the most beautiful horse jumping for the sheer thrill of it.Personally I would have retired him after his bleed but it is not for me to criticise just to enjoy the precious memories.Rest in peace always Matey.Forever remembered.Love SheenaX

Dear Kathy.I always say it’s the quality of our lives that matter not the quantity.I have been trying to post a message offering prayers for jockey Freddy Tylicki but I keep getting ‘duplicate message’??He is under going further tests today after his horrible fall yesterday at Kempton.His horse Nellie Deen clipped heels with the eventual winner and they brought down 3 others.Jim Crowley broke his nose and Ted Durcan his ankle.You may have noticed I was up earlier today.My dear mum died this day in 2007 It seems right somehow she died on All Saint’s day.So many memories.
A great race out in Melbourne earlier so sad for Heartbreak City just pipped at the post Max will have been happy Aidan didn’t win I think Bondi Beach was 11th.Poor Subbie lost all his pocket money!
I went on gratefulness .org last night to light a candle for my mum and was amazed to find peeps had lit candles for Hillary!!I would never dream of lighting a candle for ANY politician.I have sent you a link of Mother Theresa in the Pride of Britain awards last night she was showing a lot of leg!If Hillary wins next week she better ditch those trouser suits.
A lot of trouble with teenagers frightening people last night and many drinking far too much as per usual.Some ridiculous outfits too.

I join you in praying for Freddy Tylicki’s recovery. And 3 others involved…just horrible. I’ll be thinking about you all day today. I know how difficult the anniversaries of our parents’ deaths are. Just something we have to get through. Congratulations to the victor out in Melbourne. Maybe another day for Heartbreak City and all the others. Candles for Hillary…that’s pretty funny. Couldn’t hurt though. I will go and check out Mother Theresa’s fashion. Teenagers and Halloween…a bad combination! I always enjoy the little ones but get really turned off to open the door and the trick-or-treater is towering over me and has a really deep voice! I enjoyed Mango’s video and Boo’s picture as well.
