Good morning!
First and foremost, Zenyatta is doing well! She has not yet foaled, and as of this morning she is relaxing in her paddock. The team at Lane’s End is keeping a close eye on her, and she is in the best hands.
It has come to our attention that various rumors about Zenyatta have been circulating. Trust that Zenyatta.com will keep you up to date with official information.

Wow! Look at that baby’s HIP!
Cris Chastain
She doesn’t want her foal to shiver in the snow… good mamma knows that the temps are warming up and her baby wants to see green grass and sunshine.
Ann NC
Wow is right! Sturdy looking baby. Mama is so pretty too.

April fool baby! Just know it! She made us wait last year! Go, Zenny, go!

Baby Z #2 will be a filly. Girls are always late because of last minute primping.
Take your time, Zenyatta. Don’t rush perfection !
Emma
Stay safe my little Z. Sleep tight. Every morning I wake up and run to the computer to make sure there isn’t a 13Z yet. Lot’s of love and hugs.

Me too!

After looking at the distances of moon from earth and % visibility of moon, I am guessing that Zenyatta will have her foal on March 29 or 30. More visibility on the 29th, of course, but closer on the 30th. Has anyone heard any news about Vertigineux?
Bernadette Norwood
Dear sweet Zenyatta, I can wait for perfection.
sue and tony
What a sweet post. We can wait, too.

Thanks for the update.

Looking at her photos…and reminiscing about how my life revolved around her when she was racing! I was so nervous and emotional! What charisma! I hadn’t felt that way since watching Secretariat. Can’t wait to see her babies race! I hope they can give us thrills like their mother (nothing against Bernardini and Tapit – I was a fan of both) but Zenyatta was extraordinary!

Dear Team Z and Lane’s End.
Thank you so much for the update and beautiful picture. I was fooled too last night, but it was a lot of fun.
Listen If I were there in Lexington I’m afraid I’ld be sleeping there in the barn in the stall next to her all night. Lane’s End would just have to get me a stall next to her.
I have the feeling we dumplings aren’t going to be getting much sleep in the next few days.
I think Zenny will pull an April Fool’s day trick on all of us and have this little one (filly) just when she wants to and Fool us all. Lots O Love, Peggy

With my weary eyes, Lo, I’m just glad I didn’t fall down somewhere today.

By all the sharing, I thought you foaled a filly!! But I was thinking, wishing and hoping I’d here from Lanes End. THANK YOU for the update on my priceless Queen Zenyatta!! I was covering out at the horse Sanctuary this early eve. and as I looked at our older loveable horses and worked , you were always on my mind. It has been all because of you Z, my love for you, that I volunteered to care for these.
I wished Sue Fredrick my FF a Happy Birthday 4 days ago and said I could never call her an old bag because I am 2 years older! haha But, silly me, placed it on an older post. I apparently was feeling the after effects of my vacation.
Prior to returning to the Horse Sanctuary after returning from vacation, I found numerous emails; trouble that was a brewin there. Apparently beautiful big Sir became very agressive not only toward the other horses, but went over where a vet tech was standing, holding Frito who was being checked because he had fallen, and bit the vet tech. While a volunteer was grooming him, he turned and bit him. I read emails to get up to date about perhaps finding Sir a different home environment and finally that perhaps Sir should just be euthinized. I was shocked! What happened in three weeks! I had replied to a special someone’s email from here on the blog in regards to Sue F’s birthday poem but told her I was a bit blue because of the suggestion to euthinize Sir. Before I could blink and eye, I found an email from this special someone and she indicated she had paid for a session with a Candi Cooper, Animal Communicator!! Candi contacting me, I told her of the situation, she connected with Sir while I was on the phone. Needless to say this Candi was very believeable and I shared all Sir said to the Horse Sanctuary group by email, personally spoke with the head horse person about Sirs problems. Now, they do agree that Sir is in pain from a fall in January and they as well as we are going to do whatever we can to care for Sir so he can stay with us. Bless my special someone friend!! I know the Sanctuary was thinking of liability of volunteers as we are under Cedar Community. Their fear is that Cedar Community could close us down that is why they had thought of such a drastic decision for Sir. Because of this conversation with the communicator, I believe the head people went with their heart.
Now my thoughts and heart are filled with love for Zenyatta; will I have another restless night!!! I just can’t pull an all-nighter on the computer!! Perhaps Z should have some olive oil or mineral oil so this new foal can slip right out!!!!!
God bless you Z and your new foal before and after delivery.
love n kisses on your soft nose, 12z too (litl stinker) Auntie Sally B

Hey Sally
Love to see your posts.

Dear Sally B.:
Glad there is an alternative to euthanasia for Sir thanks to you and your friend. Hoping once his pain is under control, the aggressive behavior will stop. God Bless you for all you do for the horses. Love and Hugs, JB
Barbara Wood (Texas)
Sally B..–thank you for this marvelous story. Yes, we always always, always listen to the horse. That Candi knows what she’s talking about , i think. Horse and Man blog has featured her before. Just recently our Equi-Army received a notice from one of the rescues we are acquainted with that they knew of a horse who was acting aggressive. To make a long story short, he is a cupcake since being removed from his owner and is going to have one of our members for his mommy, although he will be in a different town.
There is no telling how many horses meet a bad end through no fault of their own.

Dear Mr. William Farish,
Thank You so much for the wonderful article on Revolutionary. I am a huge fan of the family of War Pass. Just loved him so and his daughter Gabbiano.
Words just can’t express my appreciation to you for continuing this wonderful family.
I am pulling terribly hard for Revolutionary to win on Saturday. He is just so beautiful and talented. I was very fortunate to have gotten to see his dad there at Lane’s End. Just fell in love with him.
Thank you again so much for helping to bring us Revolutionary.
I will definately be screaming on Sat if he wins and have many tears of Joy.
Go Revolutionary………………………………………………………..

Peggy, Sandy and Judy,
What a pedigree on this horse. When he walks by perhaps we should curtsy. My old buddy Hoist The Flag is in there a couple of times. I rember seeing him at Claiborne many years ago. Will say no more as we know that Elf of Injury lurks on my shoulder.

Dear Sandy

Dear Sally B, Thanks for your post, you never did say what the animal communicator said Sir said to her, that he is in pain?, Bless your special friend who thought of bringing in the communicator to try and understand Sir’s situation, it is well, wishing Sir speedy recovery and a pain free life, its tough when you have to deal with pain, doesn’t leave one room for pleasantries.
Loved the olive and mineral oil part, too cute. Hope you were able to get some sleep.’
