Good morning!
First and foremost, Zenyatta is doing well! She has not yet foaled, and as of this morning she is relaxing in her paddock. The team at Lane’s End is keeping a close eye on her, and she is in the best hands.
It has come to our attention that various rumors about Zenyatta have been circulating. Trust that Zenyatta.com will keep you up to date with official information.
For the lastest updates follow us here on Zenyatta.com. We are also on Instagram and Twitter: @teamzenyatta.

To the Mosses…thank you for giving us the correct status of our beautiful Zemmy.
We are blessed beyond words to have such access to our Queen and appreciate it more than you will ever know. Our girl looks wonderful…she carries the extra weight well and that latest pic of Z and Ann…to priceless for words.

Sue and Tony: Agree with all of that. Am a great believer in waiting for official announcements. The love between Zenyatta and Mrs Moss is just beautiful to see.

Thanks, Team Z, for the update!
A poem for all who held vigil last night.
For the Sleep-Deprived
(March 28, 2013)
The beauty of the night,
Glorious with the light
Of a brilliant moon,
So full and round,
Was crowned
With the delight
We Z fan-addicts
Found
Thinking that very soon
Z and Tapit’s
Baby
Might well be
On the ground.
When tweets came in
Willy-nilly
With the spin
That a filly
Had been born,
We waited
With breath bated
Into the wee hours of the morn
To receive OFFICIAL word.
Now we’ve from Team Z heard
That we were by those tweets misled.
It seems we were information fed
That had in fact no cred…
We’ll for the birth continue to wait
And then together we’ll celebrate!

Diana Stuart - Another Super Poem Trina!
Dear Trina, your muse works in wonderful ways. How clever to capture our waiting room antics in rhyme. Love it.
Dear Zenny: I hope it is a warm and sunny day there and you are having fun keeping all of your aunties and uncles on pins and needles. Like the good old days when you raced – we are all holding our breath – for the bells to chime and the buzzers to ring and the flags to fly and the trumpets to sound. Prince Z needs a sister (and we need some sleep!)

Trina. The poem is fun, just like staying up as group. Maybe those tweets were a gift in disguise? It was like a big Z party, and now for a replay, if not tonight, soon?

Hi everyone!
Still bleary-eyed from staying up passed midnight last night as a result of rumour-tweets. I actually tweeted Team Zenyatta this morning to say that rumours had been flying last night & was glad to see this news item here. I can’t say that I ever really doubted that Team Z wouldn’t be keeping we, the Venerable Dumplings, in the loop and the photo of Zenny with Ann and of Z-12 from yesterday sure didn’t look like a “she’s in labour” posting. But — hey! — if Shakespearean theatre can run on rumour, I guess the impending birth is fair game!
Am I right that the Mosses arrived less than 72 hours before the Prince was born? I think I am. So it’s going to be one thrilling few days, between Zenny, the Triple Crown trail and the Dubai World Cup!
Hugs to all Dumplings and kisses to my Big Girl and Z-12.
Abigail_1849
P.S. Special thanks to Team Z & the folks at Lane’s End for thinking of us! I so appreciated this posting.
Martha Lydick
I can’t imagine how many butterflies the Mosses have in their tummys. I’m far removed and I can barely stand it. Thank you so much for sharing.
Barbara Wood (Texas)
Martha, I’ve been thinking exactly the same thing.
Paula Higgins
Praying for a very safe delivery of a healthy foal when the time comes. Glad Ann and Jerry are with her.
tony
Zenny, you are looking splendid. And, to the wonderful Mosses, thank you for clarifying things for us.

Is this how horses nest?
What a way to spend the day, hanging out in the paddock on a sunny Kentucky day, enjoying the sunshine, some green grass and a visit from your beautiful “mom”. I don’t think I have ever seen a bad pic of either of these two gorgeous ladies? I am guessing Zenny needed a quiet time with her mom before the birth of her second foal, maybe for a few words of encouragement, or for just some plain old mother daughter bonding time before all the excitements starts up!
Sorry so many Z-peeps and dumplings didn’t get much sleep last with all the excitement swirling around, hopefully you all had time to take a nap or two before the real excitement starts! (You are all well rehearsed now!)
So Happy to hear my Co-Queen is finally home, and no doubt being spoiled rotten! (Well deserved of course!)
St. Francis please watch over our beloved Zenyatta, her foal, and the entire Lands End team, may their joy also become our joy.
Hoping for a little lady on April 3rd! (Probably that’s too far out?) That sure would be one special gift for me!!!!!
Loving thoughts

Thank you, dear Jerry & Ann, for letting us be a part of Zenyatta’s life. You are blessed with owning her & we are equally blessed for being a part of this wonderful mare’s life journey. To all, have a Happy Easter. May The Higher Power look after Zenny 7 her foal.

dear max hope kauto has got that heater he’ll need in this bitterly cold weather sadly our spring has disappeared wihout trace good to see our queen looking well hope you and yours have a happy easter hugs sheena
Max
Sheena. Kauto calls it a log burner. I saw his Twitter photo of horses in the snow at the end of March in the UK. They were all wearing very thick blankets. You are having it very rough with this cold. In a way I am happy that Z has yet to foal. These celebration cakes are getting to me. Bought another carrot cake today for Stay Thirsty’s birthday tomorrow. I wish you and yours a very Happy Easter. Eat some chocolate for TT! Kauto goes for Cadbury’s Easter creme eggs, as you know.

Zenny looks stunning! Such a perfect mare. Know she will deliver a healthy foal and pray that all stays good!! Thanks for the updates and letting us all be part of this joyous time!
Linda Parker-Fedak
Is it me, or does Zenyatta look slimmer this time? Her pictures are wonderful! Maybe it will be a fine little filly???
Molly
Yes, Zenyatta does look a bit thinner than when she was getting ready to have The Prince. Oh, yes a filly would be great. I’m thinking PINK. But as long as this foal is healthy I’ll be thankful. Kinda wish they would give the Queen a year off from the breeding shed. Not sure how often the broodmares get some time off, but I’m sure they must get some down time. Don’t know all the consequences of taking time off, but I would think there bodies need some time to recover.
Debbie G/Kentucky
Thanks for the update, Lanes End! I’m embarrassed to admit that I was fooled by the rumors last night. Never again! I won’t say a word until I hear it straight Lanes End and Team Z. We love you, Zenyatta!

Dear Debbie and Z Fans:
I believed Z had foaled a filly last night too. A lot of us remember it was through a Tweet by one of the Farish Grandkids that we learned Z had foaled a colt last year. So, it seemed there was no reason to doubt last night’s news.
However, I’m with you in that I will wait to hear from Z’s Team from now on. The excitement and banter from last night was fun though. Next time we celebrate, as Trina said in her poem, it will be for real. Hugs, JB

Dear Z, Prince and Baby Z:
Z, waiting to hear your new baby has arrived and both of you are fine. Prince will be a proud Big Brother. Love you. Hugs, JB

I wonder if her foal will be gray like Tapit? I think I would like to see a lil’ gray foal running next to her.
Vickie Willmuth
Woke up every hour last night and checked phone for tweet update. Still waiting-will probably lose sleep again tonight, and I am just a fan. I don’t know if I would survive if I owned. Probably sleep in the stall.
