Good morning!
First and foremost, Zenyatta is doing well! She has not yet foaled, and as of this morning she is relaxing in her paddock. The team at Lane’s End is keeping a close eye on her, and she is in the best hands.
It has come to our attention that various rumors about Zenyatta have been circulating. Trust that Zenyatta.com will keep you up to date with official information.
For the lastest updates follow us here on Zenyatta.com. We are also on Instagram and Twitter: @teamzenyatta.

Thanks so much for the update. I will be looking forward to the announcement! I’m so glad I went to bed at a reasonable hour last night.
Enrico
I’m so excited in anticipation of Zenyatta’s soon-to-be! While we’re all waiting, please consider a small act that could have a huge effect on our equine friends. A petition on change.org is demanding a ban on horse slaughter in the U.S. and a ban on exporting horses for slaughter. If you believe, as I do, that these beautiful and noble companions should never be slaughtered, please sign this petition. Without your action, we may be mere weeks away from the opening of slaughterhouses in the United States — that reality horrifies me. If it horrifies you, sign this petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/overturn-the-legalization-of-horse-slaughter-for-human-consumption After signing, please consider further action suggested by the Human Society http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/horse_slaughter/tips/slaughter_toolkit.html
PS — When I made a similar appeal to Zenny’s fans here last year, response to the petition to stop the Steel Pier Diving Horse show was a huge success. Horse slaughter is a much more important issue. Eighty percent of U.S. taxpayers are opposed to horse slaughter and don’t want horsemeat served at the dinner table. So why does this petition have only 53,000 signatures? Can Zenny’s fans and their friends double that number? Triple it? Can we stop horse slaughter before it resumes in April?

Thanks for these links, Enrico. I’m signing on, for sure. I’m so eager to hear more news of Zen’s foal and very grateful to Ann and Jerry Moss for their superb care of their horses — and for their example. Still, as we know, not all horses are blessed with the care that Zen enjoys. Horses are tortured, and if we love them we should raise our voices on their behalf. “We should be the change we want to see in the world.”
Barbara Wood (Texas)
With you on this 100% Our Equi-Army is spending most of our time fighting the horrors of slaughter, and we (almost) all met right here on the blog. God bless you!
eva
Thanks, Enrico. It only takes a minute to sign these petitions against horse slaughter. I know ’cause I just did it. For what it’s worth, I predict a filly for Zenny. As for the timing — well, she was always a closer, you know!

Dear Enrico:
Thank you for posting these links. I belong to the same Equi-Army group as my wonderful friend, Barbara Wood, posted. I sign every anti-slaughter petition I can and contact my Reps. urging them to fight for anti-slaughter and transport for slaughter bills. You are right; slaughter of our beloved TB’s and other horses is very real and we have to keep on fighting to put an end to it. Hugs, JB

Thank You Team Z.
Praying everything goes well during the delivery.
Hugs and Hugs to Zenyatta!
Tiffany
who has the time to make up rumors?? or the energy? sheesh. I know you all will keep all us adoring fans up to date, and that she is in the BEST possible hands!! She’s a lucky, happy girl. Fingers crossed for a fast, easy delivery and healthy momma and baby!
Melinda
Still thinking an April Fool’s baby just like Zenny would be neat, but happy and healthy mom and foal are all that really matters. Bonus that Ann and Jerry will probably get to spend Z’s birthday with her (and perhaps the new arrival) without an added trip. So excited! Zenny looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing the pics!
Bobbie --- Elkhorn WI
I know we don’t contribute to her boarding fee, but Team Zenyatta you understand I’m sure that we all feel we own a tiny hair on her beautiful body.
PS–Zen looks wonderful and it looks like a great day in KY to have a foal!
maria McLeese
thank you for the update. I was very worried when there was no word yet.
Jill
Z – can you hang in there until tomorrow, 3/29? That’s the birthday of my late, beloved mare, Beaujolais. It would be an honor to have Z13 born on the same day! Stay well pretty girl!
Melann Johnston
People love Queen Z so much they get a little crazy! Glad she is doing well…cant wait for the OFFICIAL announcement!
Kristie
Looks like she is dropping in the hind-quarters – so should be any day now!!
Good luck Z and all your human carers for a safe delivery and a healthy baby!
Molly
A little crazy is an understatement. But are we having fun or what… So good to hear everyone on this website having a good time. Reminds me of the days when Zenyatta spoke to us.

I’m blocked from tweets in the office. Is it possible to attach photo to blog besides tweets & facebook?
Best of luck to the whole Z-team. Anxiously waiting for the news. Hope all the moms are having safe deliveries. Much love to our Queen.

I am hoping for an April 1st foaling. My mother-in-law who is greatly missed passed away a year ago on that date. Having a special birth on that day from Z will definitely take a bit of the sorrow away. Either way, I hope for a quick and easy welcome to Zenyatta’ s foal.
Trina Nagele in So Cal --PUR
So sweet to hear how lovingly you hold your mother-in-law in your heart. Hugz.

I am so happy to hear that you are doing well!!! Thank you so much Lanes End for the photos of Zenny and for the update. Zenny, you look great!
Well now, wouldn’t it be something if you deliver your foal on your birthday! You only have a few more days. Try to hold out!!! Lol.
Love you, Zenny!

Zenyatta is always in my thoughts and prayers and especially now that baby is growing near.
What a lovely Easter gift this new foal will be!

It’s hilarious how all the rumors started when the Moss’s arrived in Kentucky. They have kept me entertained but I won’t believe anything until I see it on Zenny’s post from Lanes End ;-)

Thank you for the update!
I am holding onto my prediction of a filly on Good Friday!
Zenyatta, please have a safe delivery and a happy and healthy foal!
We will be checking “Twitter” and this site for news!

Thank you so much, Team Z for clarification!!!! I was one that got sucked up in the rumor mill too. Like everyone else, I should have known better unless it was officially from Lane’s End or the Moss’s. It just goes to show, how much Zenny is loved and how crazy we can get!!! Maybe now, I can get a few things done around the house. LOL… Pacing will resume later.

I stayed up last night much later than usual and Vic announced that she would stay awake all night. Fortunately she did sleep. I am sending very pink thoughts. Thank you Team Z for keeping us in the picture.

Brenda S and Vic: Great to hear from you. How come you didn’t invite us up for a cup of coffee while we waited? Tee hee. That would have been fun. Or dangerous.
Love and hugs to you both, Auntie diastu in tempe

Big ears and a grey color — sounds like an Easter bunny on the way to me, so I’m guessing Sunday. Zenyatta is such a beautiful and graceful horse, even at this stage. And strong! That’s such a load and she makes it look easy.
