    Love seeing Z look like she’s enjoying being a horse! Somewhere, though, I bet she remembers when the hands of 14 people came in contact with her during each day. I know she still loves people (thanks to Ann’s TLC), and I wonder if she remembers her former life. She has always been a “people” horse….

    Dear Max.They are actually watering at Cheltenham can you believe it???The ground was absolutely perfect today,when I think of the winter we’ve had and horses have finished races exhausted going through the mud,it’s been such a pleasure to see them race on good ground!!
    I cannot understand Ruby being so callous,I have always admired him as a jockey but he has certainly gone down in my estimation.Would that have been his view if Kauto had been killed in a fall? I do remember Clive Smith getting angry with him for remounting Kauto in a race early in his career and his leg got injured.
    Was a fairytale win for SDG,the family clubbed together to buy their dad Sean a horse for his 50th birthday, it’s the only horse they own it’s the only horse they own.Hugs Sheena

      Sheena. I saw an article about the watering at the Festival. It is hard to understand.
      Nice story about the birthday horse.
      Totally agree with your comments. I’m also rethinking my view of Ruby. Did not know about Clive Smith’s anger about the treatment of Kauto. I cannot imagine how anyone would do anything to risk the Living Legend. Kauto is as handsome as he is talented, and he is just a lovely horse. Maybe the next time that The Fly gets a chance he will take a big bite out of old Ruby?
      On the other hand, Mullins came right out and admitted to the world that he loves Quevega. I believe it. That is as things should be.
      I’m also more supportive now than ever of Moosie. With jockeys who think that you as a horse are just replaceable, why bother to run at all? Neigh!

    Dearest Zenny–you always look fabulous to us, no matter what. Looks as if you are having a big baby, and we hope you do not go overdue. Prayers for your delivery to be as uncomplicated as the first two were. Can we even believe this is the third???? And some people didn’t think the blog would last past the first. Love you always. And belated Happy Birthday to dear Coz! We have been away on basketball business.

I know, it was a joy to see.Jamie adores SDG I had never seen fellow jockeys come out into the winner’s enclosure to welcome back horse and rider before.Everyone was so overjoyed they’d won,have you seen Kauto’s tweet? Big day for our Sam tomorrow,Moosie will be wishing him luck no doubt.Free the Moose Hugs Sheena

      Sheena. Always enjoy what Kauto has to neigh! He’s a classy horse. His comments about curry were hysterical. You reminded me with your comments just how protective Clive Smith was and is of Kauto. Good owner.
      Good luck to Sam. Big Buck’s is a handsome horse. We’ll see how he does against Ms Annie. Three miles is a big test for her. Mullins and his owners say that The Fly will race on. As to Quevega, her breeder told Mullins that her mother did not come into her own until she was nine. Q’s therefore in her prime! May all horses race home safely.

    You look great!! Just as beautiful as ever!!! And let me tell you–you still look like a racehorse!!!! It was really fun to see you making an appearance on TV. They also showed you winning the 2009 Breeder’s Cup. That race is still so exciting to watch.

    On Time Warner in Carlsbad ( 9 p.m. – Pacific Time we have Esquire in HD Channel 589/ regular tv Channel 203. I’m taping it on both channels. Right now, nothing about Zenyatta. I’m so bummed but will tape it all the way through and hope for her segment. Otherwise, I guess I’ll have to find it on the computer. Trying as hard as I can to find you Any other suggestions from west coast people?
