Dear Sheena,
Litigant wins the Ebor what a shock- a 7 year old that has only
run 7 times – sounds delicate like Da Hoss. Great win- sorry
for Frankie- said his horse was tired. He has had a couple of
loses not from his riding though.
Love and hugs
Dear Sheena,
Coolmore Ireland is buying their Scatdaddy progeny from Coolmore America. Scatdaddy is their stallion, it has nothing to do with the mare. It is possible that Acapulco could be from a mare in their Coolmore America broodmare band. Coolmore owns all of Coolmore around the world so they purchase from their own stallions. An example is the recent Street Cry colt that was purchased by Darley. Darley was involved in the breeding of the colt the farm had the AP Indy mare. Darley then purchased the colt from the farm for 2 million dollars after they provided breeding sevices. So they now have a Street Cry AP Indy Colt and the Farm who bred the colt has 2 million dollars. Things are not as black and white as some look at them.

The new giant panda cub is the size of a stick of butter, has no fur except a few sparse white hairs, and right now is the color of a piece of pink bubble gum. It will do the rest of its developing cradled in Mei Xiang’s arms. If you get on the Cam and hear her panting or see her bent over, she’s blowing air on the baby to keep it warm because it can’t regulate its own body temperature. Mei is an extraordinary mother; I am so looking forward to watching her take care of another cub. She LOVES being a mom!
Tizgood
Dear Deb,
How very special. Need to get on the cam, love your
description, so amazing so small and become so big.

TVG is showing Beholder getting a little antsy. They had to take her out for a gallop on the track earlier to release some energy to calm her. She is so ready to get it on. Hmmm, who does this remind us of I wonder? Perhaps the Zenyatta “prance” would do the trick. She is so muscular and in her prime. Gorgeous. We need another top filly to fill the Rachel Alexandra/Zenyatta gap.
Dear Judy.Great news about Mei!Oh,yes my welsh I can only write and speak in simple form I’m afraid.Your servicemen and Grandad Chris Norman were very brave to tackle a terrorist. Many lives saved.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Wow, so much for a pedigree- she blew the boys away.
Now on to take on AP. Amazing !!!! Really did not realize
she had gotten that good. Mandella is a genius !!!!
Beholder WINS the TVG Pacific Classic – Race Replay 2015
TVG Network Published on Aug 22, 2015
Beholder crushes the boys in the TVG Pacific Classic. She becomes the first female to win the race, and did so just 3/5 of a second off the track record.
Do you want to see her run against American Pharoah in the Breeders’ Cup Classic? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_hNk8QHsJg&sns=tw
AP has accomplished much and I am a big fan…but no doubt who I would root for in the BC Classic . After all these years, it’s the ladies turn again and she is so deserving with that turn of foot that made me almost faint. Geez. I screamed so loud my cat got scared. Love it!
I am over the moon and still on cloud nine. Ben’s Cat and Beholder, two of my favorites, were excellent today. I just love that 9yr. old gelding and how he has triumphed so many challenges in his life. And beautiful Beholder, what more can I say for Girl Power. You both deserve a special treat tonight.
WE HAVE TWIN GIANT PANDA CUBS!!!!!!!!!!! Cub #2 was born just after 10:00 p.m. EDT! WOW!!!!!!!! The Cam has stopped operating because I think the nannykeepers and vets are scrambling to get in the den and scoop up the second cub and get it in the incubator ASAP! The second cub is just as loud and feisty as its twin!
This is Mei’s second set of twins. She gave birth to a stillborn female, Bao Bao’s twin sister, in 2013. The Zoo is gonna be rockin’ tomorrow for Bao’s 2nd birthday!
Man oh man, or rather, girl oh girl—what a race for Beholder!!! We were home and our jaws just dropped to see her take off like that!!! WOW!!!! To her the boys were just a pack of turtles. And from what Trevor said, I think his jaw dropped, too. “This is almost unbelievable!” Guess he couldn’ t repeat Zenny’s BC race call, but wonder if he was tempted, or stopped himself in time? Hoofray to one and all!!!
Congrats to Beholder,
If Mr. Mandella decides to run her against the boys in the BC Classic, she will face some tougher competition. I think she would run well against any of the males. If she is vulnerable, it would come that all her races she has won have been on California tracks and she can get a little worked up. She was a credible second in the 2013 Kentucky Oaks and a fourth in the 2014 Ogden Phipps.
Upside, she is a salty 5 year old veteran and she has a trainer who knows her very well.
She made a big step going a distance she had never gone before.
I will be hard pressed to root against her that is for sure.
Great analysis Janet, she wa quite the head case as a younster and Mandella
has such a way with filly’s he has really worked his magic with her, not sure
how she will do outside of CA, but her owner invited AP to a match at SA
will see if that happens before the classic.
So very much admire Mr Mandella, he is such a great trainer.
Love her owner too for keeping her on the track for us to enjoy
as a 5 year old.
If they even consider a match race they are totally nuts! I, for one, will refuse to watch it. I still am so saddened for Ruffian. Absolutely NO need! My opinion.
What a week, first Arabian Queen and now Beholder. What an amazing race, she destroyed them, as RB who was behind said she is a freak, and I love Gary he is so kind when he rides any horse because he cares.
What a race if she runs in the Classic, I wonder if she can beat our champion AP.
I think Zenny would have run them all down, she is still the QUEEN.
Now my last wish is for Treve to win the Arc, that would be a wonderful birthday present.
Dear Donna,
Beholder has a different style, than Zenyatta. She comes from off the pace, but
she blew them away. AP does not really have a turn of foot he just
gallops away, she has a significant turn of foot, but not sure she can
take her A game out of CA. It is possible she could beat him.
Not sure Ahmed would take her on before the Classic as he already
has the Travers planned and then most likely the Classic. Not sure she would
do well at Keenland, it is a funny track and now it is back to a new dirt surface.
I think she might be over matched in the Classic, Mandella will know, that is why
he is not committing yet. I am just so surprised she has matured in to such a
great champion. It is nice to have a talented female again.
love and hugs
Too many of our efforts are like scrambled eggs all thrown in together, whipped and beaten and without much substance. What we do overlaps too much-sleep lets worry in, eating is not prepared but brought in with its ingredients totally beyond our knowledge. Walking has become a contest, a thing of speed and clever costumes. Talking is chatter and boastful-and prayer is too often listening to someone else who “knows how.”
Whatever we choose to do should be done with all our hearts. Not done so we can feel important by running here, running there-but done in love for the sake of love, and not for competition. Who we are, what we are, where we are going and when we get there has to do with the mind and spirit more than what the Cherokee calls nu s di da nv-how people see us.
You can count your money…but only the Great Spirit can count the grains of sand and the blades of grass.

Dear Kathy.Great devotional.Horrendous weather in Wales today poured all night and promises a very unsettled week.I shall have to contact Mr Fibbs the BBC has terminated it’s contract with the Met office after nearly 100yrs.What will happen to our forecasts??I was sad to read Carol of Carol’s country sunshine passed away on Aug 12th.Only 56 she had cancer but wants the page to carry on.Mei’s twins are on our news too.It will be wonderful to watch them grow.Boo has a daddy????.Have a blessed Sabbath.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.Dyfi is featured on BBC’s Countryfile tonight at 6pmXOXO.
