Glad to hear that Bentley is doing so much better Judy. I went back and saw the picture. I had never heard of a buckskin before I saw him at Angela’s. I’ll have to look and see if I took any pictures of him, but I think I was focused on waiting for PC to appear!

Dear Sandy:
I think you may have taken a photo of Bentley. Can’t remember for sure. The day went by so quickly. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Sheena,
Celyn is on the nest with a fish. It sure is windy today on the Dyfi. Hopefully, Glesni is waiting for better weather and is safely held up somewhere. Brenig is a brave soul and sticking to his guns. Take good care, Mary Margaret
Dear Mary Margaret. Now I got to see Celyn has returned. It must be Blue bombarding the nest.I should imagine Glesni and Merin have gone now but who knows???There are many hats getting eaten on the Dyfi this year.Love and hugs Sheena.
Dear Sheena,
They sure keep us guessing. Looks like Celyn isn’t taking any lip(beak) from Blue24 either. I love the picture of Glesni at Borth on FB. Take good card,Mary Margaret

Great things are still ahead for the fire breathing dragon called Danny. Safe travel to him and a safe trip in the race. Wish he would do a diary as Zenny did several years ago. It would be fun to hear what goes on in the mind of the Most Interesting Horse In The World. Good luck Danny.

Judy,
Did you notice Steve called him a handsome devil??? He sure is. I am unashamed of my horsey crush on him and the Red Prince. They are both such beautiful animals and out of such a wonderful dam and sire. AND Texas Red has Alydar in his dam line.
I think AF will win if he is on his game. If not, watch out for Alex’s boy. No matter who wins (don’t count out Keen Ice) I will just be happy if all come home safely.
I did take note that SH called TR a “handsome devil …with gorgeous white markings”, and he certainly is. Funny, I chose Keen Ice in the Fantasy Capping Contest. Think he might be in the mix. Love and Hugs, JB

Palace Malice has been retired and will stand at stud in Three Chimneys next year.Sad news of Divine Fortune who suffered a fatal injury at Saratoga today.Still chasing at 12yrs.RIP.Sheena.
Glad they made the decision to retire Palace Malice. He tried hard but just was not the same as before his injury. He will have a good time at Three Chimney and since they ride their stallions every day, he won’t have a chance to get fat and lazy. Another good one retired healthy.
Good night and sweet dreams dear Zenyatta. Your loving spirit has brought so many of us here together to share thoughts and feelings. No matter how much we love and talk about other horses (your boys included) you will always be first in our hearts. We still mourn for your little lost girl, Z Princess. She will Not be forgotten.
Gosh reading the gallop of AP today, he sounds a lot like Frankel with his fluidity of stride on all dirt surfaces. He really gets over all of the tracks in the same way which is very special and that is something that Frankel had. Not sure he raced on soft ground but most likely it was by Sir Henry’s choice, but he had such great consistent leg action. He is a very talented horse has good energy and I hope he gets a challenge so he can show
us more of his talent.
Wow! He looks wonderful. I am really torn about the Travers as I am a big fan of Pharoah and think he is a champion. But, my heart belongs to Red. Wish it would be a dead heat. Good luck to all in the race. Will not be unhappy with a AP win and TR second. I was just hoping this meeting would not occur until the BC Classic.
Had such a wonderful time in Florida at the Yearling Sale. Everytime I go seems like the horses are getting more beautiful. You could just love your mind. Across the board older sires freshman sires have such beautiful youngsters coming up. I only got to go for the one day this week as I needed to go to some Dr. Appts with my mom. But the one day was wonderful.
I saw a Leroidisanimaux Filly, but the Colt by him that I wanted to see I didn’t get to see and really didn’t understand. If any of you Sales Savy people know please tell me.
All the other times I had been to the sales the horses were mostly all there. I knew he wasn’t to sell till end of the week. But before end of the week horses were there.
I was told he was in the Holding Barn. They told me he might be over later in the day. I checked back at 3 and he was still not there. Most of the people I talked to spoke only broken english. Don’t think they understood me nor me them altogether.
Long story short, I went back again later he still wasn’t there. Still in the holding barn. I tried to find out if he would be there that night and they were not sure. They told me where the holding barn was, but They couldn’t say for sure if I could see him there. Anyway they told me it was to far to walk as I though that was kind of cute. No I wasn’t walking. They told me it was across the road. So I didn’t get to see him. But, I will check tomorrow and see if he sold and if he stays in Florida maybe I will get to see him another day. Another horse I wanted to see was a colt by Point Given. More bad news. He was scratched from the sale, but she did tell me he would probably show up next year in the Two Year Old Sale. And, she told me he was Black. I thought Oh My Gosh. Love the Black horses too. Hope to see him next year as I love Point Given.
And a little excitement there was a loose horse, but I sure have to give them a shoutout the guys got him pretty fast. They did great. One guy blocked one of the exits with himself. I thought Oh wow. That colt was rearing and really acting up. He I am thinking was just a scared baby. You just never know what these babies will do.
It was l05 degree heat index. It was so hot yesterday. But every horse in the barns had a fan on them. Well taken care of.
On Little Leroi just didn’t understand why he was not over for people to see him. It was not as if all the stalls were full. Lot were empty. But then I am a work in progress on the sales. So lots I don’t know how they handle things. But, I had a wonderful time.
Glad you enjoyed your day in Ocala. Too bad you didn’t get to see the Leroi/Big Gem colt. I’m not very familiar with how the sales work, but do you think he may have been pulled like the Point Given colt. Please let us know what you find out on him. Wow, the PT colt is a Black; that’s rare. Would love to see a photo.
Wow, those stable people really are courageous and brave. Frightened, loose horse coming at you is scary. Glad they got him under control quickly. 105 degrees; would have done me in. Love and Hugs, JB
Max, Just wanted to wish you Good Luck for the Big Beast on Saturday. I am pulling for him too big time. But two jockeys that I am getting really worried about. They are riding just red hot and that is the Ortiz Brothers. Both of Them……Just riding red hot, and I think they both have mounts in the race Beasty is in Saturday. But, I am pulling Big Time for the Beast and All.
