Very happy to hear this news. Was hoping she would be bred. Zenny loves being a mother and I’m all for whatever makes her happy, she deserves it so much. I’m sure all will be well.

I’m so happy for Zenyatta. I pray for health and good life for her and her baby. I hope at some point I can see her romping happily in a pasture with her friend, retired. She is so beautiful. I just want her to be happy. I know she is worth a lot of money, as is her babies. I just want to see her smile. I’m just a silly old woman

Sherry–Nothing silly about wanting the best for Z.

I can only second Celeste’s replay about Zenyatta’s new! How very true that reading about her adds so much to one’s joy. The great Mag..D’ ORo. May the breeding be confirmed in 15 days as certain.

Thanks for sharing the news so quickly! We will be on pins and needles waiting to hear if she is in foal. The sire raced before I knew anything about horses, but this seems to be getting rave reviews, and we know you’ve done your homework. Sending best wishes from Ohio ❤️

If there is a level above purple, this foal is it.

Love and best wishes to Zenyatta, the Mosses and Team Z!

does this make her Rachel and Songbird’s step-mom?……lol…
I am going to hold my breath and hope for a little girl…

Carolin, how cute; with his record of offspring, I too will hope for a filly who will do her sire and Queen Zenyatta so proudly!

thank you for the news will be anxious next 15 days hope you realize how important you are to the racing fans.
Kay
Didn’t she just lose a baby? Is she ready to have another so soon?
Beckette
From what I understand , Zenyatta was in perfect health and not injured by the delivery.
I’m sure if she weren’t 100% healthy the vets would not have recommended breeding her

Gestation is 11 months (give or take); this is the normal protocol.
LauraJ_Cincinnati
She didn’t lose a baby, if by “lose” you mean miscarried. The foal was born meconium (prenatal poop) stained and had aspirated some of the substance in utero. Unfortunately it damaged his lungs severely enough that he was unable to live. From Zenyatta’s point of view, the birth was easy, as her previous births have been. So there is no physical reason for her not to be bred again.

Three whinnies and high hooves for the breeding of Our Queen to such an outstanding stallion. Excellent health wishes to Zenny and to the baby I hope she is carrying. First, I pray for health, but I will let The Good Lord know it certainly would be nice to have a filly.
Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Moss, for sharing this most excellent news. Zenyatta will be so happy with a new foal…and the two of you at her side.
xoxo to All,

Wow! Already? Seems like this might be her foal heat. Poor Z and poor Prince. But Prince has Princess to guide him.
I’m glad they made the switch. Maybe I’m superstitious or something but after two foal losses (for entirely separate issues), it just seemed like this cross was jinxed. But that’s strictly MOHO.

I am beaming with joy at this news. What a match made in heaven this will be. Zenyatta and Medaglia d’Ore will make the most wonderful well bred foal. What excellent blood lines to get together. OH, I am so happy, I can’t wait to see this foal. I was praying and hoping the Z team would choose Medaglia d’Ore for her next covering. His foals have been doing very well at the tracks. Thank you, and I am praying this will produce great expectations for everyone. I can’t wait~!

Great cross! Was my pick in the beginning. Another might be Giants Causeway. I love doing bloodlines and breedings but only on paper. Go team Z. God Bless you all!
