Two years ago today Zenyatta delivered a curly maned filly we called Z Princess. She was on this earth a mere six months, but her memory will be with us forever. Happy Birthday, Z Princess.
Thank u Z Princess with gracing us with your beautiful, sweet self. I know your with your adorable brother romping g & playing together. Both of you will never be forgotton. RIP.
She was a precious one…too cure for words with loads of spirit. We can only imagine what might have been for her. Thank You, Team Z, for sharing this memory.
Horses bring humanity so much joy, but there is sorrow as well. The loss of this little girl and her baby brother are two such sorrows. Rest in peace little ones. Run free forever in the lush meadows of Rainbow Bridge. They will always be remembered and treasured.
what a little beauty – I will really never get over losing her or her baby brother – they will always be remembered – they must be in horse heaven – with only happy romps in green pastures and never any pain or sadness – they are forever in my heart – just like their mom – zenyatta is just too special – she lives in my heart always – her boys too – always – prayers to zenyatta and her boys – the Z team – the moss’s – praying for more happy times ahead – and never again any sadness – – love you zenyatta – always and forever!
So heartbreaking, yet so beautiful. April’s a rough month for Big Mama Z (unless it was her birthday!). Sad to think we will never see her baby girl, and now boy, grow up to be racehorses. Thank you for remembering her baby Princess.
Two beautiful foals, two tragic endings. Z Princess was so beautiful and the little Prince was just as beautiful as could be. They both will never be forgotten. RIP Prince and Princess
What a beautiful memorial. The video is both heartwarming and heartbreaking! To see Z Princess’s joy of life, her curiosity and Zenyatta’s love for her is just beautiful. To think that the darling died in a paddock accident beyond anyone’s control, a cruel twist of fate, makes us all realize the fragility of life. She was loved and knew nothing but love and joy in her short life and for that we can all be thankful.
Always remembering little Curly Mane. Her time on earth may have been brief but her memory lives on forever.A little flower lent not given.Keeping you in my heart.Love and hugs SheenaXOXO
I miss her terribly, but I know deep in my soul she is in a far better place, out of pain, in her new body running, playing, and being a scamp with her brother, Z16. Z Princess was truly special…think of how many hearts she touched in her short life.
Mrs. Moss, I love the photo of you and Z Princess at the fence…As always, I have a soft spot for the ears of Our Queen and her offspring. Mr. Moss, you have a truly joyous smile on your face in your photo with her.
Kyle, thank you for the excellent photos. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Moss, Team Zenyatta, and Team Lane’s End for honoring the birthday of our dear Z Princess with a reposting of this Memorial. She is gone, but she will never be forgotten.
Miss this little gal everyday but so thankful for the joy and beauty she gave us during her short life. God knows and loves His creatures even more than we do and I think she is indeed running happy and free with her brother.
It is with deep, heartfelt gratitude that Team Moss, Team Zenyatta and Lane’s End have a post today to memorialize and remember our beautiful Princess Z. Little Ms. Curly Mane, so spunky, so full of personality and so much loved by all. I’d like to believe she is taking very good care of her sweet baby brother in the vast pastures of horse heaven. (I hope you and your baby bro are causing a bit of mischief)
Thank you for all the photos and I hope that each day is a bit better for all. Little girl and baby brother Z16 – you will never ever be forgotten. Your beautiful Mama Z is a living inspiration to all of us. I cannot describe in words how much she means to me.
Enjoy your days in the pasture with your best girlfriend Queen Zenyatta.
We are blessed to have you in our lives.
Such a beautiful little girl…We will always wonder, and never know, what she might have become. But it is somehow comforting to believe that the lovely little Z Princess is now a protective big sister to her baby brother, Z Princeling…
Team Zenyatta; I will never forget this beautiful sweetheart Z princess. She was so beautiful and loveable. Thank you ever so much for her memorial. Sending Happy Birthday Z princess wishes over the rainbow to horse heaven where you are.
Love you forever,
Auntie Sally B
Thanks to everyone for remembering that beautiful little girl, and that adorable baby boy. There was so much promise for both of them. May they rest in peace. Thanks again for the postings and updates on the Queen. So glad that she has a girlfriend. I looked back yesterday at the video of Zenyatta’s maiden race. Who knew how spectacular of a horse she would become. We can only guess at what these last two young ones may have done. Hopefully there will be more. Zenyatta is a strong, beautiful mare. God bless all of team Z, and everyone in Zenyatta’s life as time heals our hearts! Marsha & Joe Roliardi
My thoughts and prayers have been with Zenyatta and her connections. The loss of the 2016 colt is heartbreaking. I’m consoled when thinking of his big sister and Barbaro paving a way for him in heaven. (Do you, the reader, think horses have a separate heaven or are in the same heaven we hope for?) Still miss this lovely girl. Z Princess was beautiful and so much like her mother. RIP, little curely mane. Run and play forever in sunny green fields. You are not forgotten.

Hmm. 2 dead War Front foals? Maybe they should go elsewhere? My vote is American Pharoah!

Zenyatta is snakebit with her foals. It is sad. Zenyatta’s babies die and Rachel cannot have anymore. This is just not right. :(
