That was very interesting and he made it look so simple.

Dear Heidi:
Yes, he’s amazing. Love and Hugs, JB

Judy & HeidiK, he did make it look so simple — but getting to that skill is not. Years ago, I enrolled in a college glass-blowing class, and didn’t make it past the first day, because I found it too scary, working with hot glass. The instructor made it clear that some burns are to be expected, in working with the material, even when careful.
judy berube from Rhode Island
Dear Vicki B.:
I’ll bet it’s a skill that takes years to learn and with more than a few scary burns. Love and Hugs, JB
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
Very cool Judy – thanks for sharing. I’m a real sucker for glass. Once had the opportunity to visit Dale Chihuly’s studio in Tacoma Washington. Talk about WOW!

We ordered our stuff from the shop…thanks Team Z for offering such great things. And, the pictures are wonderful. Zenny just bring us smiles whenever and wherever she appears. Our red prince is growing up so fast…soon he’ll follow in big brother Coz’s hoofprints. This is just an amazing place to be!!!

Dear Max The boys are back in town .All is well. Bruce Osbourne has got a little Bichon Frise, seems to get on well with their cat Freya. Larry ,the chief mouser at no 10 had a fight with Freya earlier this year, turned quite nasty just like the human neighbours no doubt! The Sennedd is the home of the welsh government, Carwyn Jones is our first Minister. Good to see the Moose back tweeting, maybe he’s heard about his US fans!I doubt whether we’ll hear much about Supersteve on twitter now,Philip Walker is a self made millionaire used to back Laura that seems to have ended on a rather sour note Kauto is missing his buddy.Hugs Sheena
Max
Sheena. As long as you’re okay, that’s all that matters. I saw a photo of Freya clawing Larry. Wow! That girl takes no prisoners. If I were a British mouse, I’d head for the hills. Lola, watch your back.
Sad to hear that Steve has gone quiet. Nothing on him on twitter since late October. This situation sounds a little like Paul and Clive Smith? I’ll bet that Kauto misses Steve. They are buds.
Moosie is not taking criticism from anyone.

This may have been posted already, but it bears repeating many times over. Maggi Moss, who ranks 6th among all U.S. owners in 2013, after a battle that lit up Facebook and Twitter, finally succeeded in acquiring and retiring a horse she once owned, Furhever Dancing. I saw some of her impassioned postings on Facebook, as did hundreds of others, and we were cheering her on. Things didn’t look good for a few hours when she reluctantly admitted negotiations had fallen apart. Then, in a surprise turn of events, she announced she had succeeded and that FD was on his way to his new life! This is a brief article about this amazing, heartwarming, story:

I have been following this struggle on another site…but she finally got him safe..

Dear Ann Maree and Carol:
What a wonderful story. God Bless Ms Moss for her persistence and ultimately being able to get this boy safely off the track. Love and Hugs, JB

Pardon my confusion. It is Mandy Pope of Whisper Hill Farm who bought all the girls!
shirleeinindy
Isn’t this the lady who bought so many of the great fillies and mares recently for her farm? I think she bought the Maggie Hawk filly that is a full sister to Afleet Alex.

Way to go, Maggi Moss! Thank you, Ann Maree.

I’m glad to see the 11 yr old horse finally getting to retire, but that brings up another issue for Mad Moosie. He’s 12, I believe. I know that he isn’t racing at full-out top speed the way horses in flat races do, but the jumps and long runs must take something out of the Moose. When should he be retired? Those of you who know more about British/European racing of this sort can maybe set me straight.

December 12 Cherokee Devotional
When something has been trying our souls, it is hard to come up and breathe fresh air. Something hangs a rock around our necks and we sag, droop, moan, and argue with frustration. How nice it would be to go to the garden, a plot of ground yielding fresh vegetables or an arbor covered with roses. But winter doesn’t afford us such pleasures-unless we have captured the essence of these things in our minds to relive when we need them.
The need for a good memory is not just to recall a name or a face, but to bring what we need into vision. It is the Native American’s way to go into a field of no particular beauty simply to pay attention. We mentally record the colors, the shapes, the birds and their songs, and then when we return to our homes, we recite to ourselves or others what we have seen. This sharpens memory and saves an experience that will come again when needed.

Oh, I’m SO HAPPY for Ray! That’s terrific! Congratulations to Crisp P. Bacon for doing so well. Yes, Boo is adorable today. “Naked Wednesday” lol! Boo’s home is beautiful all right. His mommy works in the finance dept. at Facebook so must be doing quite well from all appearances. Glad she can give Boo and Buddy the best of everything.

Dear DebraZ Moose was born on march 23rd 2004. Many of our jumpers go on until 12 or 13,even Red Rum was 12 when he won his 3rd Grand National in 1977. Moose should be at his peak if he behaved! hoe that helps.Hugs Sheena

Been somewhat absent lately so I have been catching up on the posts. @Vicki B-Your quote about Milton on Page 3 indicates that you have something in addition to redneck in your soul. But, like me, you should not admit it. @Abigail-The Vault is an incredible publication.

Glad to see you back. Saw a comment from you several pages ago, and no we do NOT have barking dogs at the Cleveland Orchestra concert. REALLY!!!!

Dear Vicki B:
Sad that Hollywood Park could not be saved. Glad the horses’ remains will be relocated. Love and Hugs, JB
Terry Crow
I am sure there will be some kind of ceremony in the cases of Native Diver and Landaluce. However, the previous owners of Hollywood Park decreed some time ago that any horse who dies in a race there would be buried there. I have not heard a thing about that situation and what is happening to those remains.
judy berube from Rhode Island
Dear TC GP:
That’s so sad. Hope they relocate them as well. Hugs, JB

Tampering with sacred ground can present huge problems.
Terry Crow
The tone of this article is most distressing. The dismantling of Hollywood Park is not a reason for celebration. The president of the facility acts like he doesn’t know a thing. Right, Jack, just like you did not know what happened at Bay Meadows. There are also errors in this story. Doesn’t anyone check facts any more? Los Alamitos hosted thoroughbred racing before when the Orange County Fair had racing dates. This is indeed a sad time. I hope the people responsible for this lose their shirts.
