Happy Friday!

A note on holiday orders from the Zenyatta Shop:
Orders must by placed by December 18 in order to qualify for holiday delivery. Orders placed after this date will ship after January 1st.

    December 19 Cherokee Devotional

    Laws govern everything. Written or unwritten, we have certain rules to keep if we are to do well and be happy. The law of music requires hitting the right notes if we are to hear a melody. Mathematics shows us the need for accuracy to solve problems. Faith is a law. We use faith even when we are not aware of it, or we disregard it and allow everything to turn out negative. A law is a law and serves us well when we avoid the sour notes and let the harmony come through. If we do not make music, it is our own fault, not the fault of the law. No one can take away our faith. If we lose it, it is because we let it go. Faith was born to open doors, to see beyond appearances, to forgive, to move us into new views that are immeasurable and unlimited. He said, “I did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill if.” And so we do in myriad ways.

    Love Ray’s photo with the snow on his fur. He’s so gorgeous! It’s Paxilicious-Cat in the Hat. Loved Boo and Buddy’s beautiful pic under the Christmas tree. Such cuties! Good luck with the Christmas shopping. I have just a few more things to buy and I’ll be finished.

    @My wonderful. caring Z-family– words cannot express my love to you all for reaching out to care about and pray for Dawn and Mama Tess. I will share with Dawn that there are now many more on her team. As Dr. Phil would say, “This blog is a soft place to land.”

    @Vicki–our hearts feel real pain at the loss of your dear Melissa. Please accept heartfelt virtual hugs from your family here. As I read that, I thought that that’s exactly the way I would want to go myself.

    Saw a picture of Capona and Sweet Mary a few days ago. They are doing great.

      Oh thanks, such good news about Capona and Mary, these animal rescuers are given a gift from God for their healing abilities, and the animals know it. I got a email from our humane society asking for help to clip a matted, dumped off, little terrier mix so I went up and helped clip the dog. We were told this dog was very aggressive, but we clipped his entire body to the skin and he was a perfect angel. I’m sure he knew we were helping him!! I hope he finds a loving family, he deserves it. Hugs

      Thank you for this update on Shipping News. I do remember reading about his pond adventure when it happened; but I didn’t know about his injuries and relocation through TROTT to be placed for adoption.

      Kudos to his owner/trainer, Mr. Lerman for his concern and care of Shipping News. SN is very handsome and has a sweet personality; I hope he finds a happy forever home. Love and Hugs, JB

    Here is another animal joke that is pretty old. I think I read it originally in Reader’s Digest and want to give credit where it is due. IT has been awhile since I read it, so I hope I get it right. A secretary was visibly distraught one morning when she arrived at her office. Her co-workers asked her why she was so upset. She explained that her children’s parrot had escaped from his cage and had flown out an open window. Of all of the dangers that the tame bird would face she said that she was most concerned about what would happen if the bird started talking. Her confused co-workers asked what the problems would be. “Well,” she replied, “he mostly says here, kitty, kitty.”

    Terry, here is another parrot joke. An old sailor was sitting alone nursing a drink at his favorite bar. In walked a young guy with his hair all spikey. The old sailor couldn’t take his eyes off the young guy and just kept staring at him. After a while this really got to the young guy. He demanded that the old sailor quit staring at him. The old sailor said, “Years ago I was drunk and had a relationship with a parrot and I thought you might be my son.”

    Judy B. I did watch the dressage post, it is unbelievable to me what training must go into this refined precisioned work of art by horse and rider. I do get goose bumps, but it probably should be horse bumps! hah

      Oh my! Poor Hovis doesn’t seem to have much in the way of Christmas spirit (well, for himself – he certainly has put “spirit” into OUR day :-).     December 20 Cherokee Devotional

    When we leave the old and familiar, something in us rebels. Even if it was not good, we recall bits and pieces that meant something to us. In leaving them behind, we leave a little of ourselves behind as well.
    This seems to be a particular challenge around holidays. Our expectations of what a holiday should be like-even if we’ve never had one like that-are high. It takes courage and common sense not only to face our unrealistic expectations but also to shape new, more realistic ones. But it can be done-and you can do it. The Spirit will guide and strengthen you. Always trust the Spirit.

    Dear Max and Sandy That pic of Hovis is in his first book,as if our boy would bite!!Somehow I cant see us hearing much about Supersteve unless the girls are allowed to visit.Big Buck’s had a great workout at Exeter yesterday is on course for the Cleeve Hurdle,be strange not to see Ruby riding him,he rarely comes over now.Hugs Sheena
