Happy Friday!
We want to finish off the week with a few videos showing parts of Zenyatta’s daily routine. Alys’ footage shows her in the paddock, in her stall, and eating supper: the simple moments that make up the life of a happy and healthy horse!
Enjoy!

Healing Prayers for you Ann Maree, may the healing hands of Our Lord be upon you now and always. It is well.
Hi Queen Zenyatta, hope your day was Blessed and found you happy and healthy. Did the princess indicate when might grace this world with her presence? I never did ask, is Prince happy he will soon be a big brother or is he still busy holding court with all the pretty fillies on the farm?. I love him much though.
Have a good night and sweet dreams.
Good night to all and God Bless.

The connections of Big Brown’s GROUND TRANSPORT are Derby dreamin’ after the colt turned in a solid work to prep
Ground Transport Works Swiftly for LA Derby
By Blood-Horse Staff Updated: Sunday, March 17, 2013 4:12 PM
Ground Transport, one of the locally-based sophomores preparing for the upcoming $1 million Louisiana Derby (gr. II), is attracting some attention after posting consecutive bullet moves at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.
The latest for the 3-year-old son of 2008 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner Big Brown covered five furlongs in :59 2/5 March 16. It followed a half-mile breeze in :47 flat a week earlier as he approaches a date in the 100th renewal of the Louisiana Derby March 30.
“It was a very nice work for him,” said trainer Mike Stidham on the morning of March 17. “He did it well. He broke three lengths behind another horse named Trend that has been graded stakes placed here and had almost caught him by the time the work finished. I got what I wanted from him in the work.”

Lets see if Mikey has his pick for the Classic (praying that both are in great shape and racing) do you think he would ride RD or GOD? or another?
Sue

For the BC classic, it would have to be Game On Dude!
Sue FL CHPRC
I love them both. I wish he could ride them both. :)
Keta
Sue FL CHPRC
Mike Smith can and probably will ride both.
The only question would be whether or not Mucho Macho Man will run in the Breeders Cup Clasic again. MMM ran against Game on Dude in the
2012 Classic.
Royal Delta ran in the Ladies Classic, That is the race she is most likely to run in.
Here are the 2012 Recaps of both races.
Hugs, Keta
2012 Breeders Cup Races
Game on Dude ran in the Classic which was won by Fort Larned
2012 Classic
Fort Larned led every step in the Classic, shadowed by a tenacious Mucho Macho Man in the stretch. The two finished half a length apart, with Fort Larned claiming victory at odds of 9-1 after traveling along the inside path. For jockey Brian Hernandez, celebrating his 27th birthday, the win was the biggest of his career. It was also the first Breeders’ Cup win for trainer Ian Wilkes. Mucho Macho Man was a game challenger, but couldn’t best the winner. Flat Out finished third, and favored Game on Dude ran seventh
2012 Ladies’ Classic
Royal Delta ruled the Ladies’ Classic, taking command from the first jump. She crossed the wire 1 1/2 lengths ahead of My Miss Aurelia, a game second. Include Me Out followed 1 1/4 lengths behind in third. For Royal Delta, the win was her second straight Ladies’ Classic victory. For jockey Mike Smith, it was a record-setting ride. With the 2012 Ladies’ Classic, he became the winningest rider in Breeders’ Cup history, surpassing the previous record of 15 wins held by retired Hall of Fame jockey Jerry Bailey
Max
Keta. We have to pay more attention to Fort Larned too this racing season. He has already proved that he can cross the finish line first with or without a jockey. Fort is really an amazing horse.

Feel sorry time for Black Caviar owners????
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/superracing/stress-keeps-building-for-black-caviar-owners-as-the-great-mare-chases-win-no24/story-fn67lu29-1226600086155
Now this will sound unkind, but I think this is all about the publicity. This bloke needs to have a little think about the majority of owners who are just delighted when their horse runs a place – or if it has been carrying injury just gets to the track. Maybe he needs to get away from the champagne and oysters and spend some time with John McNair and the Hay List connections. Or better still, check out Mr and Mrs Moss and learn some class. Very disappointing.
Max
Kathy R. I may have missed something significant here because I do not know the whole story of Nelly’s owners, but I can understand how this guy feels. I’m stressed too thinking about BC running this week because I really want her to win, and come home safely. Nothing is ever certain in racing except that she looks quite magnificent in that photo. Like Zenyatta, she seems to improve over time.

Owner loves Caviar encore:

Kathy R.
Dear Max: I did say my comments would sound unkind. I think the Nelly connections have heard the cheers and are now panicking as to how they will live without them – Mr Wilkie is the usual front runner in this. Neil Werrett, the principal owner, is not often in the spotlight, and owns a string of good horses. But I find it silly to want sympathy for owning the best sprinter in the world. I have a lot of time for Peter Moody and Luke Nolan, but these owners just leave me cold. And they’re forgetting the real issue is that discounting injury, it is highly unlikely that we will see a real race this Friday night. And that certainly did not happen with Zenyatta, or our forgotten Champion mare, Makbye Diva (and I know she raced over different distances). This will sound really unkind, but as far as I’m concerned, it will be on their heads if the worst happens over the coming weeks.
