Happy Friday!
There isn’t any baby news to report, but we’re having a great time with Zenyatta this week. The weather has been beautiful in Kentucky, and she’s as relaxed as ever.
Here are a few photos from the past two days on the farm. We’ll have some new photos of 12Z tomorrow—and of course we’ll post as soon as there’s big news!
Enjoy!

Robin LOVES Zenyatta
The pictures brought tears to my eyes. She is so loved, and that makes us all feel so great. Only this team of people and these owners could have brought her to such greatness. We are so blessed to have them, and to share the experience. We love you Zenny! You are truly an amazing animal who shows such brilliance in many ways.

Good morning all, Zenyatta you are the most beautiful…..and the people there with you are beautiful people, Thank you Jerry and Ann for your extraordinary consideration to all of us who love Zenyatta. You truly ARE extraordinary!
It’s wonderful seeing all of you together smiling and enjoying your visit in the Kentucky sunshine. Love to the Queen and her “mom and dad”.

Zenny, you continue to be the epitome of absolute perfection in every way. And, to the Mosses, you continue to be the standard for all owners and your generosity is amplified as owners of our horse of a lifetime. How easy it would be to hide her away from public view now that her racing career is over. Instead, you continue to provide us access into her life. Zenny has never looked better, so serene and calm. In any picture of her with others, I always notice the smiles on peoples faces as if they know they are in the presence of one of God’s most magnificient creations, the great Zenyatta.
A blessed Easter to everyone.

Ah must be close to the time Ann and Jerry are in attendance. Tears in my eyes, I love her so much. Take care of our girl.
Love hugs and kisses to all

Lovely pictures of our beautiful mare and the Mosses, thank you and your team for sharing them with us. Looks like she’s going to keep us all guessing for a while. I will be gone all day at our Humane Society fund raiser “the Chili Dump” as we call it, so I’ll check back tonight when I get home. Love to all Auntie Sue

It’s amazing the effect that she has on so many! Just looking at these pictures has tears in my eyes. I’m so glad the Mosses are such great owners – she deserves the best and obviously has it. Keeping fingers crossed for a filly tonight but just want mom and foal to be healthy and continued happiness! I’ll be back in the “waiting room” tonight. Happy Easter to all!

Hi!
Mr. & Mrs. Moss, thank you for sharing and keeping us up-to-date with Zenyatta. The three of you look so healthy and happy. Know our Queen must be delighted when you come to town. The sunshine looks great…glad there has been pretty weather for your visit.
Today, Saturday, 30 March is Secretariat’s birthday, and I am at the celebration at Secretariat’s Meadow in Virginia. Penny Chenery and Team Secretariat keep his flame alive. I hope Zenyatta’s Z13 might put in an appearance today!
Thank you Team Zenyatta and Team Lane’s End,
Take care,
Mary

I don’t think there has been a horse ever so loved; she is so special, and has touched so many people. I haven’t been able to see her in person, which I regret, but thanks to her team, and the people at Lane’s End, she is still in our lives. A special thanks to her owners and trainer for not racing her too early, and giving her time to become the horse she is, alot of people would have rushed her. God bless you, it would be great for racing and the horses, if there where more owners and trainers like you. Best wishes and prayers for our Queen and her new baby. Zenyatta always liked to keep us waiting with our hearts pounding, afraid she wasn’t going to get to the finish line first, but she always did; I’m sure she knew exactly where the camera was; she is still doing it now with this baby. Just one of the many things we love about you, girl!

Thank you so much, Jerry, Ann & Zenyatta, for letting us share your journey with this website & wonderful photos. I’ve loved racing all my life but never have I been captured by a single horse as I have with Zenny. She is very special to many, many people.

*pace, pace, pace.* Still waiting but take you time Zenny girl, can’t rush perfection. Wouldn’t it be exciting to have that baby on easter or Zenny’s upcoming b day??
Barbara Wood (Texas)
Yowies!!! Last night I went to bed, thinking I had caught up on the blog- and ka-bam when I was checking baby news, here was all this.
@ALL of Team Z.–you are setting the gold standard for how horses should be respected and treated. Thank you so much for everything you do for us. I cannot imagine what would have happened if we had had to disband.
@Trina–your poem that you printed is a masterpiece. When we get back, I will take it out to the farm and read it to Money (he is a great great great great grandson through War Admiral). Big hugs.

Beautiful pictures. The love and trust between Zenny, Jerry and Ann is wonderful to see and warms the heart. We know it could be any minute now that the Mosses are there. You know she would wait for “Mom & Dad” to be there.
Hate to say it but the floor of her barn looks cleaner than my kitchen floor. Lanes End really takes good care of the horses.
Waiting and pacing.
Any news from Dubai?

Thanks Team Z and Lanes End.
Loving the photos,gorgeous.
Hang in there, Zenny, you sweet mare!

Keta, When does Gary ride? I know he is in Dubai but am mixed up about times etc. What a burden to be that far away when your child is hurt. Many prayers for his recovery and a safe trip for Gary.

What a beautiful way to begin my day == such wonderful photos of our Queen with the amazing Ann and Jerry. I continue to be in awe of Z’s beauty and sheer physical presence. She is regal in every way. Just look at her, still so magnificent even as she’s almost ready to deliver. She always brings happy tears to my eyes.
Thank you to Team Z, as always, for sharing her and her life with us. You and she are a blessing in so many lives.
With prayers for a quick and easy arrival to Z13!

I am mourning the loss of my beloved pet and friend of fifteen years yesterday, and when I see the pictures of the Mosses cnd the love they share with the rest of us for Zenyatta, I am so moved. She has been the highlight for me of following 66 years of racing.
shirleeinindy
Linda, several years ago I lost my wonderful friend of 20 years, Muffin K. Kat. I know how you feel. I could hardly stand to go home as there was no one to greet me at the door. I didn’t want to hear it, but a friend talked me in to going to a local shelter just to look. Well, I did not go home alone and a month later added another cat. They have been absolute joys. It might sound cold but the best compliment we can pay our beloved ones is to give another of their kind a loving home.
Louise Castello
Shirley, I lost my precious best friend of almost 14 years a year ago and I sympathize and mourn with you the loss of your best friend. The pain will never go away but will get better. Not long after his death, I was pushed into visiting the shelter by my daughter. I came home with the most precious little girl who is fast becoming my new best friend and has truly helped my heart! I hope you will soon find another friend, too.
Louise Castello
Sorry Shirlee, I meant to address this to Linda.

Ditto to all of the above comments…………… Its like we are all there sharing the anticipation. THANK YOU Mosses & Team…………. MANY thanks. My feeling is tonight is the night, we wait.

I love you beautiful Zenny. You look like you are ready to foal soon. Blesses to you and your baby. I can’t wait.
We love you forever.

First, Linda i am sorry for the loss of your pet. I know it hurts deeply as i have been there twice recently. Secondly, thank you to the Mosses for sharing your beloved Zenyatta with the rest of us!! Looking forward to seeing the new baby soon and hoping all goes smoothly.
Catherine
Thank you to the Mosses, LE, and Team Z for the wonderful pics and updates. They are so appreciated. You and Z are a gift to us all in Z nation.
Neva Rae Powers
Wow! She looks so relaxed and totally happy.
lizzie
This post is exactly why I no longer worry like I use to about Z (will she be happy, hope she’s taken care of, hope she’s never forgotten…).
The answer: The Mosses
I’m comforted by the fact that she is not just a ‘racehorse’ to them, but rather a part of their family, who gives them joy and happiness. It’s apparent they feel a debt to her because of what she’s given all of us.
Thank you LE/Mosses for sharing these lovely photos.
It amazes me how beautiful Z looks still. She looks so solid even late in her pregnancy.
Wouldnt it be neat if Z gave birth on her birthday to a girl!!! But in the end, it really doesnt matter, just her health is what I want for her.
Love to all on this beautiful weekend.
Happy Easter
Paula Brown
