Zenyatta and her War Front filly spend their summer days grazing and playing with paddock-mates. When the flys are particularly pesky, Z Princess will stay close to her mom’s tail for extra protection.

Zinconic was showing off for us in the paddock (we think he’s excited to be in training prep). Our next blog post will cover his new routine.

      Judy, Thank you for the pictures of my beloved Muchie. I have been a fan since I saw him in the Risen Star when he was a 3 year old. So glad that he is going to Adena Springs and not being sold out of the country. I would hate to get put in jail in Japan or some place like that as a horse thief.

    Just poked about in my messy files and found that Profound Beauty was bred and owned by Moyglare Stud Farm in Kildare. Maybe she’s still there? It’s frustrating when mares just disappear into the ether. Seem to remember something about a Swiss billionaire establishing the Stud and that he died a year or so back. Maybe I should pluck up courage and ask Dermot. Hugs KathyR

          Just heard a discussion on Skysportsradio with Sean Cosgrove (Bensley’s on holidays) and Henry Plumptre at Darley. According to Henry, if a horse is considered to meet the standard of Godolphin, they will wear the blue silks. Very interesting! On the other hand, have never seen a Waterhouse runner for Darley – am aware they’ve given her some horses to train, but have never seen one. Henry said the decision was made to indicate the very high regard the Sheik has for the Australian arm of the operation. I think it’s also an expression of gratitude to the hard work done by their former trainer, Peter Snowden. Hugs KathyR

    Cappers we have 9 on the team today but are still missing these players Debbie, Heidi,Evie,Marty and Elizabeth. If you see them or talk to them please remind them.
    I sent all another invitation so please rejoin us we hope you will join today. Maybe some of the others can help these players get back in to play.
    We have room for at least 5 other members too. It really is so much fun and free.

    July 16 Cherokee Devotional

    If time were a dollar-how careful we would be with how we spent it. We wouldn’t spend it on worry, for we know fretting is not profitable. Anything limited makes us conscious of what we do with it, whether it is time or money or the people in our lives. How we value what we have decides what we keep. The Cherokee doesn’t want many things, but they know the wise are i yv da, careful or mindful of what is important. Such caution teaches us to think before we talk, to slow our pace and find peace of mind. It eventually gives us more resources, and more time to enjoy them.

    If we could have spared more, we would have given more…

    Dear Kathy.There should be a new blog post and video up on the Dyfi later this week.Deri(the girl) has unusually dark feathers on her head.Monty was on the nest earlier doing the housework, the youngsters were rather disapproving, their mid-morning nap was being disrupted!naughty daddy!
    Oh, Joey always reminds me of my Katie when he is sleeping especially peeping out of one eye.We have been promised some hot humid weather for the next few days,I’ve got all my windows open no A/C here worse luck!Fubu is aiming for 10,000 now have just voted.Such a sad story on Mr No Ears last night, a pic of several feral cats poisoned.When I think how many they euthanize every day at the NYC ACC and, of course other shelters too.I couldn’t sleep thinking of them.We always had rescue cats.It was so lovely to visit Zeus Mcgoose.Poor Dolly ,there’s trouble in Libya the airport is closed in Tripoli rocket attacks.Hope the family keep safeHugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena..

    (poss. others), seller pays all costs till 3/31 of ylg year.

    Traditionally, 1st & last hips of JRHA select sales (ylg & foal) are sold w/o reserve.
    This year they brought between $362,000 and $705,000.
