Zenyatta will not be bred this year. She continues to do well and is looking great with her new paddock buddy—even sharing her cookies. We’ll post more photos of them soon!
We appreciate all of the love and support her fans have shown. While we understand the concern the public has for Zenyatta’s well-being, we ask that you do not contact Lane’s End Farm to inquire about Zenyatta or her foals. We do our best to be generous with information and to share Zenyatta’s life with her fans through this website. Zenyatta.com will continue to be the source of official updates on all things Zenyatta.

Please keep the blog active because it is our only means of knowing how Zenny is doing.
I love how much COZMIC has developed into his new career. He is so handsome.

Dear BGG,
Thanks for the Hovis post! I do hope his foot continues to heal well with CNSM’s “hole in the hoof” idea. Prayers and healing thoughts for Hovis.
That certainly is a lovely photo of Mr. H with Mrs. King aboard.

It’s so nice to see Coz enjoying his new life. He is a beautiful mover. I hope Ziconic finds his place, rather it’s racing or something else. I don’t know if any of you remember a picture of him when he first arrived at Belmont, and he was dancing like his mother, He had his head down and one of his legs up, and his flaming mane flying; he looked like a dressage horse. I want to see him happy like that again. Does anyone know how I can find out who that other person is that posted under the name Roberta? I would really like to know what’s going on, because there has been some changes when I post since that has happened. As far as I know it was the only post, and I hope there is no more!!

Hovis looks great! Thanks for sharing. So handsome.

Please take some time to remember all those who have fought and died so that we could live in freedom. This is why we observe Memorial Day, lest we forget. ?

By the way, is anyone having trouble replying or posting a remark since yesterday?
In order to post something, it is necessary to fill-in my name and email each time now before I click on “Submit”. What did I do or undo? How do I get things back to normal?
Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks!

I have been having the same problem. I was thinking it was because of that other person posting under the same name, but I see others are having the same problem. It also takes longer for the post to go through after you submit. At least I feel better that it’s not the problem I thought. I still would like to know who posted with the same name, because the post was so rude, and there were comments made back, and I didn’t want anyone to think I would think or post that way. I use to post under just Roberta, but have been posting lately under Roberta Gonzalez; so if that is a new person, please notice that I post under my full name. It would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Judy.New rules over here about data protection.I have been re-subscribing to many charities who email me and I had trouble accessing twitter today changed my password in the end.Poldark is back on June 10th you should view the series in the autumn.Emyr wrote a wonderful blog about Merin and Tegid.I wept as I watched the 2015 ringing video remembering Glesni was such a wonderful mother.Emyr also talked of the criticism they faced when Ceri died.He always believes it was best not to interfere. They posted a photo of Tegid by his sister’s body she lives on through him too.Next week there will be new life on the Dyfi and a time for joy again.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

Sorry you’re having tech problems; so annoying.
Yes, we probably won’t have Poldark here for a while.
Let’s hope Glesni and Ceri are together again. This was one of Hovies best Blog posts. Couldn’t stop laughing. Hope his beautiful foot heals soon and well. Goodnight. Love and Hugs, JB, LM and all the Sweeties

We have another Kentucky Prince to join Coz and Ziconic (the Red Prince.) Perhaps this little guy will be Red Prince II. We are so blessed to have these two great mares, Zenyatta and Granny Rachel, around at the same time. Little Rachel seems to be a good mom and did not have problems with the birth of her foal like her mom.
Judy Berube
Dear Shirlee:
RV’s little boy is a Cutie indeed. We really are blessed to have these gorgeous mares in our lifetime. I was thinking the same thing, Valentina seems to have had none of the problems in foaling that RA had, thank God. Love and Hugs, JB

Judy,
I always remember my 2 uncles who served in the Navy in WWII. The suffered from what we now know is PTSD but then there was no understanding and treatment.
Alcohol took a terrible toll on them and the family. So sad and they gave so much.
At least now it is recognize as an illness and there is some treatment and help for our service men and women.
Judy Berube
Dear Shirlee:
Same in my family; one uncle in the Navy and the other, the Army. Both WW II and both saw action and had alcohol problems too, I’m sure due to PTSD .
So many of boys in our age group came back from Vietnam with PTSD and drug and alcohol addiction too.
War continues for many veterans well after they’ve left the military. May the good Lord help them through. Love and Hugs, JB

A call to Three Chimneys
Biscuits: Ring, ring ring, Where is that guy?
Gun: Yawn. Hello.
Biscuits: Gun, I was beginning to think that you were out with the mares? How’s it going at TC?
Gun: Biscuits! Out with the mares? I never even get to talk to them. It’s all business here. Professional. Man, I miss the track. Those were the days. 5 am training looks great to me now. Doing laps? Ok!
Biscuits: Yeah. I like it all too, especially winning races. What’s this I hear that Lane’s End has been getting lots of calls about Zenyatta. Gun, are you burning up the wires again in hopes of an audience?
Gun: And what would be wrong with that? She could use some chestnut distraction during her sabbatical year.
Biscuits: I hear that her owners have asked people not to call about her.
Gun: That’s not me. I’m a chestnut. Those rules don’t apply to chestnuts. Zenyatta could use some sympathetic horse company, such as myself. So could her paddock mate. I’m not giving up. I live for my Zenyatta dream.
Biscuits: I see that not much has changed.
Gun: Neigh, never. But what’s this news about you going to Japan?
Biscuits: That’s what the peeps say.
Gun: I can’t see you leaving the US and learning Japanese. You’re a New Yorker. Are you going quietly?
Biscuits: Let’s just say for now – Neigh x 10.
Ann NC
Fantastic! Love these chestnut distractions. Like Justy in the Preak….hey guys, look at me jump over those tracks.
Thank you Max. Of course wishing Biscuits the best life ever. Is he still at Fair Hill? I know a great hiding spot in MD…call me Biscuits!

Dear Max and Ann:
Max, so glad Biscuits and Gun are keeping in touch.
Ann, hope Biscuits calls. Love and Hugs, JB

Biscuits left Fair Hill after a good rest. He’s at Belmont to run in the Met Mile on the Belmont Stakes undercard. Fired a bullet last week. All goes well for now.

Roberta Gonzalez
Hello, fellow Zenyatta fans, I have asked several questions with no replies, while others are being answered. I have never had this problem before; it has only been since another person posted a rude post under my name. There were replies back to that post, being very upset, which I was also; in fact I wrote a post expressing how I felt under my full name. This post was hurtful to me, because of the nature of it, and it being under my name, but what hurts more is that I feel no one is reading my post because they think I am the other person. Please read my post under Roberta Gonzalez. I hope the person who posted under Roberta, changes their user name, because your views are not mine, and I feel that I am paying the price for your comments; as far as I know there was only one. One of the questions I had was if anyone had heard anything about Ziconic? I would like to see him happy like Coz! I also wanted to know if anyone saw the picture of him dancing when he first arrived at Belmont, it is a beautiful picture, and if someone has it, I’m sure the group would love to see it. If no one has it, I can see if I can find it, but I’m not sure how to post it on the site. The other question about the problem with posting was answered by answering another persons post. A heartfelt thanks for anyone answering this post. Thank-you!
Judy Berube
Dear Roberta G:
Don’t be upset. Everyone knows your posts are kind. As for news on Ziconic, I hope we have an update soon too.
I am posting a photo of ZI that I hope is the one you referenced. What a gorgeous boy he is. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Judy,
Thank-you so much for your kind words and the pictures; I didn’t have some of them, so I had fun saving them. What a beautiful boy he is, and Mom taught him to dance. It looked like they did try blinkers on him in training, but he didn’t look comfortable with them; he wants to see everything like his Mom. He was really into racing, but I guess the no wins and the whip, has him discouraged. He loved running in the field; I was thinking how long it has been since he ran in the pasture, and felt the grass under his feet, instead of being so many hours in the stall. They said at the farm that he was smart, and really liked to work; he must be so bored. They don’t send horses to relax on the farm unless they have been racing. I feel so sorry for him; it’s almost like he has been forgotten. Maybe it’s part of the divorce, and settling things up; they must have a lot to straighten out, but I hope they do something soon so he can be happy like Coz. It’s so nice to see Coz happy and successful. We can only pray that the same happens for Ziconic very soon. I wouldn’t think being in the stall so much, and not racing is good for any horse physically or mentally. Thank-you again Judy for responding to my post, your words did make me feel a lot better, and the pictures are great!!

CHRB Examines Interference Rules, Encouraged to do More
Madeline Auerbach assured the public that changes are coming.

While comments from the California Horse Racing Board at its regular May 24 meeting didn’t fully outline how concerns about recent stewards’ interference calls (or non-calls) would be addressed, board member Madeline Auerbach assured the public that changes are coming.

Thank you, Team Z and everyone at Lane’s End, for this heartwarming news.
As all of us Zenyatta fans should already know, you have always done and will continue to do whatever is best for her.
Wonderful to see these beautiful pictures of her looking very happy and healthy, enjoying a gorgeous Kentucky spring!
As always, thank you for taking the time and trouble to keep all of us informed…

If I was Team Z, I’d close this site for a while. Too much gossiping, name calling and calling Lanes End!?! Omg!
Let this team rest!
Email yourselves for a while.
Give Zenyatta a rest on all your suggestions and criticisms!
Take this site down during reconstruction and come back when you’d be appreciated and not ridiculed for all your decisions.
Some people don’t understand this site doesn’t have to be at all.
