Zenyatta will not be bred this year. She continues to do well and is looking great with her new paddock buddy—even sharing her cookies. We’ll post more photos of them soon!

We appreciate all of the love and support her fans have shown. While we understand the concern the public has for Zenyatta’s well-being, we ask that you do not contact Lane’s End Farm to inquire about Zenyatta or her foals. We do our best to be generous with information and to share Zenyatta’s life with her fans through this website. Zenyatta.com will continue to be the source of official updates on all things Zenyatta.

    Our boy Coz looks so good. What a turn around. This time last year we had no word about him and did not know where or how he was. The De Sousas have been so good about posting about him. Perhaps soon we will get news about the little girl and The Red Prince.

      I’m laughing out loud. Not knowing people on the Tribe as I am not a member, I thought Azaria was a mare visiting Frankel. Too funny. Well, good for human Azaria getting to meet the great Frankel.

      Yes, Asa Espinosa was suspended 10 days for careless riding. Jockey Nakatani was seriously injured and another jockey was less seriously hurt. A horse died as a result of the incident. He is allowed to keep riding until his appeal is heard. Not a fan. Love and Hugs, JB

    A shocking story indeed.A half-brother of Zenyatta a son of Giant’s Causeway and a great-great grandson of Secretariat was bought for $380 on saturday.Just look at him??All the breeders,owners trainers out to be ashamed of themselves.I have seen enough in killpens on twitter but this a half brother of a champion mare.I know you do not care for sad stories but I had to post this and ask WHY?

        Won’t click on the link as I don’t want to see the horror. I know this happens over and over and over again. I hope it changes in my lifetime, but I truly doubt it. Prayers for this Innocent; Saint Francis help him survive and find a caring, loving home.

      I completely agree with you, Sheena. This is just awful — unbelievable how mean and cold-blooded the human species can be. This poor baby didn’t do anything to deserve such treatment. Bless you, Souper Spectacular, and may your days be happy and healthy from now on. Bless the good people who rescued him! Prayers for a smooth return to health for SS.

    Agree with you, Judy. I can’t look at these kinds of photos either. The images stay with me and keep me up nights. I’m so glad he has a new home. I hope the new owner posts “after” photos to show his progress. She will be blessed for buying him to give him the life every animal deserves.

    I’m so happy for Coz, but I can’t understand why we hear of nothing on Ziconic. Sometimes it seems like they don’t care about him as much as Coz. I have loved him since he was born. He had so much potential and good work ethics, but he has lost that. I’m sorry to say, and please don’t get mad, but when a horse is into racing as much as he was, and now has lost that will, it means that he has been handled all wrong. Coz didn’t really want to race, and is very happy with what he is doing. Ziconic loved racing with his mother when he was no more then a month old. At the farm, they said he loved training, and even ran in his sleep. He was dancing like his mother, training well in company, with his ears back, knowing what it was about. On his debut, and his next race he was coming like his mother, but he is not his mother. He is smaller and more muscular, with a shorter stride. There is no way he can come from behind, and make-up the distance she did. He did show speed and determination, but you can’t keep trying, and keep getting beat; he also looked like he didn’t like the whip. I love John, but I think he was determined to train him like his mother. I wish he had gone to Bob Baffert, or anyone that is good with young horses, that would have trained him for him, and not have any connection with Zenyatta. They keep us updated on everyone else, why is it that we never hear anything from his people about him? He needs to be happy like Coz! He is so beautiful, very smart, and dances like his Mom, and he deserves to be happy too!

    Does anyone know if anybody helped that poor dog in the video. That video was taken over a period of time. I can’t see how someone could watch this, and just tape it, and not help that wonderful dog. He had more compassion then a lot of people. He was looking at the cars going by, like he was hoping for help, and this person was just taping. I hope someone took him in, and loved him. I bet they were dumped in that lonely looking place. May God bless him!

      Great to get news of Beholder — she is gorgeous. So nice that Mr. Mitchell visited and brought peppermints. She remembered him and his whistle! Wonderful that QB One is doing well and has a buddy to hang out with — the mothers are paddock-mates and their offspring are paddock buddies, too. Nice!

      Happy to hear that Seven has new shoes and got peppermints, too! Yay!
