Zenyatta will not be bred this year. She continues to do well and is looking great with her new paddock buddy—even sharing her cookies. We’ll post more photos of them soon!

We appreciate all of the love and support her fans have shown. While we understand the concern the public has for Zenyatta’s well-being, we ask that you do not contact Lane’s End Farm to inquire about Zenyatta or her foals. We do our best to be generous with information and to share Zenyatta’s life with her fans through this website. Zenyatta.com will continue to be the source of official updates on all things Zenyatta.

    When Ann took over the Zenyatta website we were told it would be updated every three weeks. It has been almost three months since we last heard anything about Zenyatta.
    My thought is that the website is slowly going to disappear from lack of interest on the part of the powers that be. Too bad as it was always a place I stopped by every day….

      I feel the same. This site was once crashed after Coz was born. Now, not so much. I enjoyed this website for loads of information on Queen Z and her family.

        I, too, have been a bit worried. It seems we hear nothing for a long while, then we hear bad news. I hope the little filly is ok! Could her foot problem keep her from racing or training? Even if she never runs, we love her and would like to know how she is doing.

        • Most of us have been respectful of the privacy of the Mosses while they go through the difficult process of divorce.

          Though I imagine we were told -in good faith- that the updates, etc would continue, a lot has happened between that announcement and now. Including the tragic loss of Zenyatta’s pregnancy for 2018. The landscape may have changed, especially as we don’t know for certain who is the owner of the Mosses horses.

          Again that is the Mosses private business. It affects us only in the sense that if it’s a case of Ann wanted to continue the website and Jerry wasn’t so keen, the majority owner of Zenyatta would be the one making the call about what information is released and when.

          I find it interesting to note that we have not seen Jerry at the DeSousa’s to visit CoZ. Only Ann. Could this suggest that Ann has controlling interest of CoZ, but Jerry retained controlling interest of Zenyatta and the other foals?

          Honestly, I doubt it’s that cut and dried. The separation of assets at the level of the Mosses is incredibly complex. But my gut tells me Jerry has controlling interest of these matters and he is not so keen on continuing the “all access” to Zenyatta and her foals.

          I think it is best that we take the approach of “No news is good news.” Because to be fair, outside of some pictures, what is there to report? Zenyatta is spending the remainder of this year probably out in a field, covered in mud and enjoying time with her paddock buddies. Z17’s name was rejected in early July, so they have to keep working on that, so we don’t have a name to talk about. Z17 isn’t in any sort of official training at this point, if she goes into training at Mayberry’s or another “kindergarden” it won’t be until October/November-ish.

          So there really isn’t any news to blog about.

          She was born with mild club foot on one of her front legs. Post on the Forum indicated she will be going to train with John Shirreffs, so she should be fine.

    Just read that Starry Dreamer, the dam of War Front, is gone at age 24. Rest in Peace.

    Another Gunn, Gunnevera won a race. He was injured and won on his first time back. Hope he stays healthy and has a good fall season. Congrats to his team and bless them for giving him time to heal.
