Zenyatta will not be bred this year. She continues to do well and is looking great with her new paddock buddy—even sharing her cookies. We’ll post more photos of them soon!

We appreciate all of the love and support her fans have shown. While we understand the concern the public has for Zenyatta’s well-being, we ask that you do not contact Lane’s End Farm to inquire about Zenyatta or her foals. We do our best to be generous with information and to share Zenyatta’s life with her fans through this website. Zenyatta.com will continue to be the source of official updates on all things Zenyatta.

      Thanks for the heads-up about Steve Haskin’s article! What an amazing warrior Wanderin Boy was, and how tragic an end he had. Steve has written another wonderful piece to honor those remarkable unsung heroes of racing.

    Dear Momma Z,
    You must be so proud of Coz! He is doing wonderfully in his new career. He looks happy and he has a better life than he did as a race horse. His new best friend is a boxer dog. You need to have someone at Lanes End show you at least some of his videos on the De Sousa’s Facebook page or maybe Ann can do it when she visits you again.
    I hope that both Ziconic and Z17 are doing well. Z17 should be going to the Mayberry’s soon if she hasn’t left already.
    We’re looking forward to the photos of you and your pasture mate and hope that they will be posted soon. Have a great summer, Zenyatta!

    hoping to hear the 2019 BC will be back at santa anita – so we can all celebrate the 10 year anniversary of zenyatta’s huge win in the BC classic that year – zenyatta, you are still the best I have ever seen – and I mean that – there have been two TC winners since you left the track….. but to me, you are still the best runner I have ever seen in my life – you ran 20 gutsy winning races – a true heart of a champion – nothing will ever change about that – praying you are well big beautiful girl – and thank you again for all the happy memories – stay well pretty girl – you have a special place in my heart – always and forever – love, monica in long beach

    Remembering ZPrincess is always a combination of joy and heartache. I was so looking forward to seeing Justify continue his career, to see just how great he could be. Keeping him healthy is the only thing that matters. This heat is keeping me indoors. It’s been over a hundred here in Deep East Texas. Everyone is talking about the abundance of ticks this year. I picked up a tick on my way out to the mailbox! Keep cool everyone.

    Treve’s filly foal by Shalaa has been named PARIS.So perfect for her given her mother’s 2 Arc victories.
    Soon Welshman Geraint Thomas will be crowned the winner of this year’s Tour de France.Already a double Olympic gold medalist this is the icing on the cake.

    At last the British summer has began lots of rain and wind!

    Some sad news from the farm. Angela has told me that Frank the Emu has passed away. She didn’t go into detail. RIP beautiful, funny boy. How they have your favorite snack, jelly Munchkins, for you in Heaven. Some of you may remember the video of Frank inspecting the horses. I’ve posted it again below. Love and Hugs, JB

        I’m sad at Frank’s passing too. I don’t know how old he was when Angela rescued him. I think she said he was around three years old. He’s been on the farm for almost four years, so he was not that old. I have read that the lifespan of Emus is 10 to 20 years. Love and Hugs, JB

      Judy,
      I was very happy for Good Magic. He ran a good race and was not all out any of the time. With the retirement of Justify, GM is the best 3 year old racing. Wish we could have seen more of Justify. The BC would have been very exciting if he and GM were both in it.

    Dear Zsters and my dear Zenyatta
    It has been quite a while since I have posted, in fact, the site does not recognize me and so I must do the “check-in” so to speak.
    It bothered me so much I had not spoken to Z or any one and I had to come here.
    I truly am happy for Coz. He is so gorgeous and moves effortlessly as he prepares for a jump. He is my winner.
    I was saddened that Justify would not continue to the Breeders Cup, but I would rather see this beautiful boy retire than for them to have taken a chance with him on the track.
    Yes, it is all about money either on the race track or at stud. But, I believe he will be treated well, have freedom to run in a large paddock so I am happy for him.
    Every time I still see a picture of Zenyatta my heart melts; any good news, my heart jumps with joy; which also includes her foals too.
    I love you Zenyatta with kisses

    This is supposedly one of the Storm Cat Clone babies. Don’t know if he’s the one that died in a paddock accident or not. He’s a Beauty. If he survived, I’m guessing he must be about four years old now. Love and Hugs, JB

      Dear Judy,

      Thanks for posting these links. Pretty interesting stuff — I hope they do not pursue this though. Both cloned colts are lovely. My guess would be perhaps the younger one (the one shown in your second link) is the survivor. It seems more likely (to me) that the older one may have met with the fatal accident in the paddock, but it isn’t clear.

      What crazy times we are living in! Cloned foals, now guns made by anyone with a 3D printer — can individual A-bombs be far behind? Have we entered The Twilight Zone?
