Zenyatta will not be bred this year. She continues to do well and is looking great with her new paddock buddy—even sharing her cookies. We’ll post more photos of them soon!
We appreciate all of the love and support her fans have shown. While we understand the concern the public has for Zenyatta’s well-being, we ask that you do not contact Lane’s End Farm to inquire about Zenyatta or her foals. We do our best to be generous with information and to share Zenyatta’s life with her fans through this website. Zenyatta.com will continue to be the source of official updates on all things Zenyatta.

Hi everyone.
I had the sorrowful task of posting the news of Keta’s passing to the Tribe on Facebook.
We never met in person but Keta & I were close for over 8 years. One of the original Z Dumplings during the days of Zenny’s Diary, this was how we first met. Then, when Dottie left, we co-founded Zenny’s Tribe on Facebook.
We corresponded, sent cards to one another and shared lots of “horsey stuff.”
I have no other words for now. There is a giant hole in my life and I’m just very, very sad.
Love to all

Hi everyone.
I had the sorrowful task of posting the news of Keta’s death on FB.
We were friends for over 8 years and we met right here during the days of Zenny’s Diary.
There is a huge hole in my heart, but I know that Heaven has gained an angel.
Love to all.

This makes me so sad. Thanks to you and Sandy for letting us know. My heart goes out to all her family and friends. I always looked forward to her posts here or on FB.

Good to see Mendelssohn get a 3rd at Belmont today but just don’t think he is suited to American dirt.
RIP John Dunlop who died aged 78yrs.A true gentleman he trained 2 Derby winners Shirley Heights son of the mighty Mill Reef and Erhaab. He also trained the star miler Bahri and Arc winner Sakhee was in his stable for awhile.Tributes have flowed in.He leaves a widow Sue and his trainer sons Ed and Harry. You may remember Ed’s favourite girls Ouija Board and Snow Fairy.Much sympathy to them all at this sad time.

Dear Sheena:
Yes, Mendy did well. The stretch at Belmont feel like a mile in itself. Congrats to Firenze Fire; so happy for this Beauty. Congrats to Roaring Lion and Saxon on his 2nd place. Love the change of name for Gloam.
RIP JD.
Alex is riding again; so happy. Goodnight. Love and Hugs, JB, LM and all the Sweeties

Dear Judy.So good to hear about Alex. One of our favourite female jockeys Bryony Frost had quite a nasty fall her saddle slipped off she went and the horse behind stood on her stomach!Bruising of the liver but she should be home today.Still hot here.Goodnight God bless LM PC HT and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

Dear Sheena and Judy,
Congrats to Firenze Fire on winning and to Mendelssohn on holding third!
Congratulations to Athena, Ryan Moore and all connections on the Belmont Oaks win!
Congrats to Limousine Liberal and all connections, too. Whitmore came in second, and poor Shaft of Light got “shafted” but held on to fourth — well done buddy! That was a rather tricky stretch run; glad no one got hurt in the bumping around. :-)
Does anyone know how tall Seven Trumpets is? He looked rather smallish but has a lot of heart.
Quick recovery to Bryony Frost. RIP Mr. Dunlop
Hugs and Love
Marshall (NC Broad)
CORRECTION: Shaft of Light finished 6th, not 4th, in the Belmont Sprint. At least he kept running! He is a gelded son of Smart Strike and is 7 years old. Apparently, he has gotten better with maturity. I like him.
Seven Trumpets was 2nd behind Firenze Fire in the Dwyer yesterday. Seven is a son of Morning Line x Angel Trumpet by Cape Canaveral. Good luck to him!

Dear Judy, Sheena, Such great racing today from Belmont. Was so proud of Athena, wow did she do wonderful. I thought Mendy did well but I wanted him to win so bad. Just love him dearly. Just heartbroken with Analyze It’s loss. But he sure put his whole heart into it. Catholic Boy did do wonderful. They mentioned Affirmed and Allydar’s Rivalry. OK well now its Analyze It’s time to win next. I was just sitting on the edge of my chair. Great race. And, wow what about Diversify. He sure loves Belmont Park. Just loved his win.
Donna Z
So sad to hear about Keta. She will be missed by many including myself. I enjoyed and learned much from her posts on this blog.
My condolences to her family and those who knew and loved her.

Judy and Sheena, So proud of Atena’s win today. Wow was she great. Was so wanting Mendy to win. But I was proud of his placing. I agree I don’t think he likes US Dirt racing. Can’t really figure it out though for sure. He did so great in Dubai. Just love him win or not. Was so heartbroken about Analyze It. But he put his whole heart into it I think. Can’t take anything away from Catholic Boy, he did do great. They brought up Affirmed and Allydar’s rivalry. I’m just ready for Analyze it to win again. I was just on the edge of my seat with this race. What about Diversify, wow was he great. He sure loves Belmont Park.
Judy Berube
Dear Peggy:
Maybe Belmont was too deep a dirt track for Mendy’s liking. I think Analyze It is one of the bravest warriors and Catholic Boy too. What a finish. Would like to see them go again and give Analyze It a chance to even things up. Athena was just brilliant.
Diversify’s race was one of the most powerful I’ve seen. He does love Belmont. Congrats to all of them. Love and Hugs, JB

I am so sorry to hear about the passing away of Keta who we also knew as BlueGrass Girl. She was always kind in her posts and replies. I learned a lot from her about racing and the horses. She always posted information we all wanted. I know how much she loved Zenyatta and all the horses. Condolences to her family. We join them in missing her. She is healthy and happy and with the horses she loved who have gone before her. RIP Sweet Keta.

Dear Sheena, I saw The Green Monkey when he was just a baby starting to race. He was so beautiful!!! I am sure that some of his progeny will prove magnificent. One of the most beautiful horses I ever saw!!
It was in SOCAL that I saw him. His genes will prove his greatness. It is certain!! Oh God, he was magnificent!!

Congratulations to all involved in the amazing rescue of the 12 boys and their coach in Thailand!! What a wondrous accomplishment. The coach and his charges showed unbelievable courage in the inky blackness of that cave. Good news is hard to come by these days.
This is the very happiest news of the day! YAY!! Bless them all and their families, too.
