Dear fans,
It’s an exciting time of the year. The Derby is approaching, and Zenyatta is preparing to give birth to her fifth foal. She is in great health and on track for a mid-May foaling. We will keep you posted as the big day nears. Alys took some great images of Zenyatta on Friday enjoying a beautiful Kentucky spring day.
Enjoy!

Big Congratulations to Abel Tasman, Mike Smith, Bob Baffert and to all her connections!
That was an exciting race. I thought Daddy’s Little Darling did very well to take second, and I was pleased that Salty finished so well. That was a very good third place for longshot, Lockdown, too.
Cheers to all!

Not in Wales.Lovely weather here this week.

Brit rain is mist compared to this stuff. Sometimes you get snow or hail with it. Nasty.

Rain Rot is settin’ in.

Happy Derby Day!!!!
Zenny, hope all is well.
Watch over them, Racing Gods……..
Love to all.

Once again the old story of the two biggest stars cancelling each other out and a closer
coming from behind to snatch the win proved the case today as Abel Tasman won the Kentucky Oaks. Since the track was a mess today and promises to be the same tomorrow the question of the day might be which if any of the boys running tomorrow in the Derby have ever run on such a track and how well did they do? Anyway, congrats to Bob Baffert and his team. Since he doesn’t have anyone running tomorrow in the Derby this should be a nice consolation prize. Also, belated congrats to Night Prowler for his 2nd place finish yesterday. Go Gormley and everyone else. Be careful it appears the track will be sloppy. To all jockeys: Bring lots and lots of goggles. Best Luck and Best Wishes.

Thanks BBG! “…from last to first!” Now where have we heard THAT before, huh, Zenny? :-) ( I did hear (read) that the track MAY be dry in time for the Derby. Hope so!!) I can’t help but wonder how Simon C. feels…he lost Abel Tasman to Baffert–NOT Baffert’s fault at all, but it must feel weird for Simon. But, congrats to all on a muddy day in Louisville. (Sounds kind of like a country western song. I can hear the guitar now. :-) )

Dear Anne,
A muddy day in Louisville, ? ? ? ? — Too funny!!

Dear Z Fans:
I think you will enjoy this slideshow of Vintage Kentucky Derby Photos. Wow, have jockey’s silks ever changed. There is a wonderful photo among these of the 1973 Kentucky Derby post parade. You can spot Big Red in his checkerboard blue and white. The very beginning of Red’s glory. Love and Hugs, JB

Zenny, Praying for a safe delivery later this month when you bring a new life into this world. You look wonderful. Alys…as we’ve said many times your photos are awesome.
Thank you.

Hoping for a filly on May 16!

Gormley did well – he has a great future. I am sure the Moss’ are staying in Lexington
awaiting Z’s foal who should be delivered soon. Zenny looks wonderful but having Ann there is important as I can tell you both are very connected and it is important to the mare to have this human support. We are sending positive energy and prayers and thank you
for keeping us updated on any foal news. Also thanks for any photos you can share.
Stephanie
I think they should name the foal Zorro ,or Z’oro……just a thought cuz of Z and Medaglia D’oro
