Happy Monday!
We thought we’d share some photos of spring’s special moments. The Mosses celebrated Mother’s Day with an incredibly sweet cake representing Zenyatta and her filly. The Easter filly, who now has a special foal tag inscribed with her nickname “Z Princess,” was recently reacquainted with her Easter Bunny and other birthday spoils. Alys sent us these photos.
Enjoy!

Dear Kathy.Am running late as usual!Torrential rain in Carmarthen today, does’nt seem to have reached the Dyfi yet.Did you see Marty’s cute little trolley, wish he could have come shopping with me today! Now he has an internashunal bizness license for his own state from the underground ratz!!Poor Betsy wasn’t having much luck with her trolley!Fubu is having trouble with FB again but managed to post the video with his lollipop must have been soothing for his mouth.Pity about one of the ferals losing a kitten I think Kimberly feeds about 13.No messages from Dolly Diva hope they are alright.Poor Miss Ellie was in her mum’s bad books for destroying one of the kitties toys and then nicking some food from mum!she certainly was in the doghouse!!!Have a great day.Hugs to You,Kisses for Holly, Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Rain??? What is THAT??? lol We’re dry as a bone here. Wish we could get just a little! Marty and that little shopping cart is cuteness overload! Poor little Fubu. I worry about him all the time. He must get so tired of fighting. I just pray his pain is under control. Prayers for all the trials all those FB furbabies are going through. Valentino, The Mighty Maltese is upset that Mommy has left him all alone. Daddy is there, but I suspect Valentino is definitely a Mama’s Boy. Have a wonderful Friday Eve. Hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

@dear Marshall–my heart and prayers are with you and Reilly. I so understand how you feel. I just wish the emergency clinic would let us stay overnight with our pets, but they will not. I understand why, but it makes it harder on both of us. Hugs.
Kathy
Dear Marshall,
So sorry to read of Reilly’s struggles right now. Our beloved poodle Jacques had a bad heart so I know what you’re going through. Prayers for him and for you, too, as you stand by.
Hugs, Kathy

Take a virtual ride on CC.
He is clearly more “go” than “whoa”. Having witnessed this, I really think he can do it!
I couldn’t get the link to post for some reason. It’s on http://www.horsecollaborative.com.
Hope it works for you. If not, I bet you could get it from Google. Sorry. It’s worth it.
Hugs to all.

@Judy B-Here is an extremely short horse joke that is one of my daughter’s favorites. It is the type of joke a kid would enjoy. I am still working on some, tweaking here and there so they are suitable for this audience. What goes clip? A one-legged horse.

Can someone tell me if they are having a problem with saving these cute pictures to their computer? I have always been able to do it, but all of a sudden I can’t (just nothing happens, no messages). The only thing different, is that I have a new Epson printer, that copies and scans; I don’t know if that is causing the problem. If anyone has experienced the same problem, can you let me know, and what you did about it? These are adorable pictures, and I want to save them!!!

Judy,
Thanks, dear for posting this, tears and bumps, kinda gives me that old feeling ftom a few years ago a certain dark bay lady thrilled us with. I love the people and the trainer involved with CC, just like we loved the Mosses and John. Could lightening strike twice, I sure pray so.
I suggested to some friends from another blog that we all wear nasal strips on Belmont day to support CC…….anyone can join us……should be lots of fun. love and hugs

Dear Terry & Judy
Yeah, that was the controversy that CNN was talking about. The Iranian kids redoing Pharrell’s video. (Copy rite issue) I guess. But then they got in big trouble with the Iranian police. I guess they didn’t think it was appropriate. I watched the Iranian version. They were just dancing. The Iranian President came to their defense ( said they were just having fun. I thought that was pretty cool that he came to their defense.
Pharrell Williams said he had no problem with their doing his song.
Yeah I guess it is good though i don’t live in Iran. I love the song.
I think I’m going to be singing it California Chrome wins. Go Chrome.
Yes, The Happy Song

Dear Judy
I’m glad that you just looked at this too. They were teasing me at work I thought that I was the only one that hadn’t heard this song or seen the video. They were telling me he’ld been performing on all the talk shows. I think the video has a million and something views.
Terry Crow
You weren’t the only one. I had never heard the song nor seen the video before. The only way I knew about it was when the news shows started talking about the kids being arrested.
Peggy (N) South Georgia
What the heck is going on with Churchill Downs.
Dear Never Tell Lynda. Rest in Peace Beautiful Giirl
My heart just sank. They think Lynda spooked because of this new huge sound system or whatever the official name is for that new huge board.
Why can’t they leave well enough alone. The horses safety comes first. Don’t they get it. We need to look out and take care of these beautiful Creatures.
Makes me never want to go back to Churchill again.
All these people that are commenting about Churchills rudeness. Hope it helps. I can say one thing. One of their employees told a group of us that were visiting back when Rachel Alexandra was Racing very rudely told us “We would not get to see Rachel, well guess what “We Did” They do have some very arrogant employees there. Just my opinion. but seems others have seen it too. Big Time……Sad
So sorry about Ron Turcotte’s experience

Dear Z, COZ, ZI and Z Princess:
Stay comfy and cozy. Sweet Dreams. Love You. Hugs, JB
Longtime Z supporter
From someone who knows Churchill well, it’s all about revenue for this low income state that depends on racing, tobacco and whiskey. Without horse racing as an income let’s just say Kentucky would greatly suffer economically and see it purely as a tourist or money making opportunity and that’s all. They use the track in the summer for concerts and evening races but unfortunately, the city and it’s officials do not understand the importance and significance of nurturing client relationships. The race track at Lexington KY is more client friendly and supportive. I hope Louisville really listens to CC owners and others whose horses have safety issues. Frankly, I think the track surface is too deep and impossible when wet. Too many injuries. Zenny really struggled in the BC covered in mud. Broke my heart. Enough said.
Peggy (N) South Georgia
Dear Longtime Z Supporter
I think your Right. I believe Z struggled too. Just breaks your heart.
I agree with everything you said.

May 23 Cherokee Devotional
Pride so often makes it hard for us to ask forgiveness. Instead of saying we are sorry for a mistake, it is easier on the pride to pretend it did not happen and quickly change our behavior. Words are important in love and forgiveness-and courage. It is good to hear them-better to speak them. Forgiveness is not just to make someone else feel better about us but to help us think better of ourselves. To make amends, set things straight, is go tlv hi so di, to change-not just outwardly for effect but inwardly for good reason. When we forgive someone we stop resenting them. It takes a little while longer to forget-and even longer to forgive ourselves for having been so foolish.
We want to keep peace. Will you help us?
