APPROXIMATE ZENYATTA DUE DATE
Announced Zenny in foal, May 8, 2012 – assume this is the 45 day US, as 30 was
preliminary last foaling.
Breeding around March 24, 2012; Approximate foaling date – February 28, 2013
Today Zenny is approximately 300 days in foal.
Let he pacing begin !!!!
Thanks so much for sharing these wonderful photos. Alys has the best job of all
getting to take photos of the horses at Lanes End and “play” with them.
12 Z is very much starting to look like his “grandma”, “V”, the star tells the tail (ha ha)
and his tail is getting long, too. He has a gorgous wooly coat and love to roll like
him “mom” taught him. The lovely chestnut colt is beautiful, too.
Zenny looks so very happy, peaceful and just enjoying life. Love the peppermint
on the rail waiting for her to “snatch” it. And lucky Donna to get to feed her an
apple, getting ready for foaling time. Donna is beginning her early “midwife” duties.
These photos are sooo very beautiful and fun. Thanks for sharing these with all
of us Team Z, Alys and Lanes End.
Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos,Team Z and Alys.
I love the one of z12 shaking off the dirt, after his big roll. He still has the ” Baby” look.
Zenny, you are beautiful and glad ,Donna gives you yummy treats.
I am so happy to see new photos of Zenny and the PrinceZ. That young one can be rowdy and dirtier than his chestnut buddy from what it looks like in the photos! He does look like V and I think he has grown into those ears! Zenyatta is as regal and sweet as ever. I love them so.
How lucky Alys is to spend time with them. Things will be hoppin’ there very soon so you’re time is very much appreciated.
Thank you Alys and Team Z.
The Queen looks so contented. You sure can see her in 12Z….
It would be just like Zenyatta to be as great a broodmare as she was a race horse as she is, was and always shall be ……. Unbelievable.
dear trina thank you for lovely poem this is what this site is all about seeing zenyatta and her lovely young prince enjoying life Z is coming to the end of a long pregnancy so must feel a little tired but she looks so serene and beautiful you’ve really made my day teamZ and i thank you hugs sheena
Fantastic start to a day – more pictures of Zenyatta (gorgeous as usual) and the Boy: what a delightful little scruff he is – just love those rolling in the grass shots. Many thanks to Lane’s End for their care and devotion.

Miss Zenyatta’s blog. Always good to see how she is doing. Her career is one of my fondest memories. She is right up there in my affection with Secretariat, and Seattle Slew. Long Live Queen Zenyatta.
Love seeing pics of the Prince and our Queen- she looks so content, except when Donna was actually daring to EAT the apple, LOL. And 12Z looks like an imp- one of those adorably naughty little boys, but so cute!

JudyB. Maybe GG likes her own special kind of peppermint? I read that Paynter likes peppermint, but he refuses any spearmint. Giacomo likes the red kind of mint. Doesn’t your PC like Canadian peppermints? How about Twizzlers for GG? Since I read about the horse who loves them, I have got to get some. Then there are those root beer floats which Shari Voltz’s class likes.

Dear Max,
Horses are very much like humans, some are picky some are not,
some are laid back, some will bite your hand off. Some pin their ears all the time no matter who or what comes by them. They are all so
very different and all can be appreciated for whatever characteristics
they have, even if it is biting.
Hope that works. Jethro hated peppermints, one sniff of any kind and he
turned up his nose and walked away. Loved those carrots and apples,
had to be red apples, though. Not green, too sour.
THE REAL QUESTION FOR GREY/GRAY IS WHAT IS USED IN THE STALLION DIRECTORIES AND EQUINE LITERATURE; IT IS GRAY SO THAT WINS OUT IN
THE US.

Dear Max and Janet,
The real question is not grammatical, it is what spelling is used to reference
greay horses.
In all of the stallion directories it is GRAY, so that is
the spelling that should be used for horses.

Dear Zenny Fans, Dumplings and All,
Meeting with you in the morning uplifts us
and gets our day off to a good start.
For we know You hear our words and will show
understanding to our hopes and needs.
All through the day, Blessed Lord, please guide me
safely and surely wherever we go, whatever we do.
Help us to reach our goals.
We ask this not only for ourselves, but for
each of our fellow Zenyatta friends.
We want You close beside us today and always.
Thank you so much for these wonderful photos. Each new post and new photos are always a wonderful treat.
What a dream come true it would be to be walking with Zenyatta or perched on a fence sharing an apple with her. Great job Donna. 12Z looks like a champion already.
Thank you again Team Z, Alyss and Mr. and Mrs. Moss for all you share with us.
Thank you Lanes End for sharing these adorable pictures. How wonderful to see 12Z rolling and playing in the grass. And Mama looks happy and content. Donna is so lucky to share another beautiful day with Zenyatta.
Thank you Alys for taking such heartwarming pictures. Makes me wish I could see Zenyatta again and give her a big kiss and hug.
Did you see the article on Frankel’s pedigree matching. At first it was a little
negative, but as it progress sounds like the Owner of Juddmonte has some
wonderful mates for him, three of them and of course those of us who come
from across the pond in either direction, US or mainland Europe and Down
Under would be good, too. Then of course there is always breeding THE
BEST TO THE BEST, without a great pedigree match and you get a Champion.
So very exciting to see how his season unfolds and his foals are born and run.
So very glad some of our “Blue Hens” are coming for a visit.
If I could just breathe the same air as Zenny or touch her sweet face once I would probably die from pure joy! She remains the most elegant, loving and intelligent horses I have ever seen. And 12Z…what a fun loving colt he is and beautiful, too. It was a great day the day I found my horse of a lifetime, Queen Z. Thanks LE, the Mosses and everyone who keeps us tied to this magnificient animal.
