Happy Wednesday!

Alys took these great photos of Zenyatta playing in her paddock. We think she looks especially beautiful set against the snowy Lane’s End landscape.

Team Z and the staff at Lane’s End are getting ready for the arrival of this year’s foals. Accordingly, we’d like to invite the next round of questions for our “Ask The Experts” column. Questions related to the foaling process will be considered first, but all questions are welcome.

We look forward to hearing from you!

    Zenny looks in the very best of health and she has always loved to play in the snow from the time she arrived at Lane’s End and ran in the snow in her paddock. Many thanks to Alys for the awesome photos, they let us know what a happy Mommy-to-be Zenny is.

    .the photos of Goldikova’s colt are precious! He is very compactly built with a big backside, could b a champ in the making. Also V is an incredible mare, just look at what she has already given us. I am really surprised Mr. Kornfield sold her to Coolmore, especially since she already is in foal, but it seems he has put his heart and soul in “EBBY” now. She is wonderful and I pray good things keep happening for her. She is certainly in the best of care with John. It would be so great if these photos cld be in Zenyattas shopping cart. I know I am not the only person tht wld absolutely love to have them!

    Alys, when you take your vacation just let me know and I’ll hop on the next plane, camera in hand ready to take a few pics of our Queen. You do an excellent job and I am thankful the Mosses have kept us so connected to this magnificient creature.

    She is the most beautifully built mare I have ever seen. By looking at Baby Z the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Beautiful!!!! Can’t wait to see this years baby. :)

    Wow!!! Five pages already. Zenyatta, you are admired and loved from everywhere. I am smiling from the inside out. My heart is singing from seeing these pictures. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Moss for letting us stay involved in Zenyatta’s life. Thanks to Lane’s End for the wonderful care of all the horses and for allowing us to share in the farm’s property, buildings and time. Thank you Alys for “braving the elements” in order to take these beautiful photos and thanks to the Z Team for posting the photos and maintaining this site. Now to start reading all the others’ praises of the Queen.

    As always fantastic work on capturing Zenyatta.
    She is stunning and one never gets tired of looking
    at her. Adjectives could go on forever on describing
    this magnificent horse and of course her handsome
    sons as well.

    Tapit’s supposedly grey offspring are usually colored as grey/roan; grey on top and roan or chestnut color underneath.

    Dear Alys and Team Z,

    These photos of Zenny are just breathtaking, she gets more beautiful every day
    and you are so right the snow really makes her markings, conformation and color
    stand out to enhance her beauty. She is getting great voluntary exercise with
    her gorgeous light bay (my favorite color) friend. So amazing how much she
    really runs around being almost ready to have her foal.

    These photos are just so very wonderful and so look forward to 13 Z arrival
    and everything about Zenny and 12 Z (Mr. Man), too.

    PS: Forgot to mention when 12 Z was getting his hooves trimmed, I saw the
    gorgeous “white polka” dots on his right front foot. They are absolutely beautiful,
    and such a gift from MaMa.

    thank you so so much for the photos, and so very happy to see Queen Z so frisky and gorgeous and happy. I can imagine she’s getting excited to soon have a new baby to love and care for. I’ve been so hoping for more pics, this is just perfect!!!

    Have we exhausted all the adjectives yet? Get out the thesaurus! Count me in on what everyone else has said, but I really like “Magical” (Kennedys) and “National Treasure.” (Sue Fredrick). Our Queen glows from sea to shining sea. THANKS to Alys and LE once again!!

    I did so want to see her in a turf race! She could have been the only horse capable of reproduction so far to have won Grade I’s on dirt, turf, and synthetic.

    It’s good to see her bouncing around having a good time! Thank you for the photos.

          Thanks for finding this “official” first photo of Goldi’s little one,
          He already looks like a “king” such a regal pose for a very young
          foal. Dell Hancock said on an Inside Information about Claibourne
          Farm that the when she goes to “inspect” the new foals, the special
          ones stand out and this one is standing out for sure. (of course along
          with our 12 Z)

          So very much love all of the Tapit foals, especially the one
          by Super Expresso (?) he definatley looks like he will be a grey/gray.
