Let us never forget Pearl Harbour and the lives that were lost there.RIP.Sheena.
Marshall (NC Broad)
Thank you, Sheena. Will always remember December 7th (and June 6th) even though I was not around then. My great uncle was ashore that morning at Pearl — he was in the US Navy and retired as soon as the war was over after almost 30 years in service. My father and my uncle (mother’s brother) were both in the US Army during the war and came home safely; although, Uncle Evans died shortly after my parents were wed and 3 or 4 years before I was born. I feel a strong connection to that Greatest Generation — they were magnificent! Unfortunately, I don’t believe we will see the like of them again.
Hope you have a good week! Reilly and Huey send woofs, wags and wiggles with puppy dog kisses, too!
Hugs and Love

Well said, Marshall. My grandmother sent all 3 of her sons to the war. One came back okay but the other 2 battled alcohol rest of their lives. No one knew about PTSD in those days.

May we never forget. Sheena and Marshall–I agree with both of you. Their deprivation during the Great Depression made them stronger.

Zenny looks like she’s loving the weather, and not having to look forward to a foal by her side in the spring, hehe. She looks so good.
Also, just noticed that she didn’t have that little broodmare tag like normal in these. xD

December 8 Cherokee Devotional
Humility is what we think other people should have. But from the instant we think this, we need it even more. Humility is knowing we are nobody when it looks like we are somebody. It is believing we are somebody when it feels like we are nobody. Humility is being sufficient, but lacking pride in sufficiency. It is knowing grace-and knowing we did nothing to earn it. Humility is being modest, but not resigned. It is in the deepest sense-kindness. It is being plain folks that love and care about everyone around them-never taking into consideration whether anyone loves and cares about them. It is yv wi-a ne hv, humanity, in its absolute best clothes.
That is the way with us Indians, goods and earth are not equal. Goods are for using on the earth.

Hi Zenny:
Great photos of you, but boy do you look cold. Well, I guess it’s that time of the year. It must be hard for you though since you’re a California Girl. I lived in the east my whole life and the wintertime is just something I have never gotten use to.
I hope you are enjoying your time with your best barn friends.
Love you.
Love,
Linda

Dear Sheena,
We hardly ever have snow in Riverside. If we want it we have to go into the mountains. It’s kind of nice. We can get to the mountains in an hour and when we’re tired of the snow we just go back home where it’ll be nice and toasty. Ray is a Daddy’s boy, it seems. Nice to see. Fubu is such a fighter. Bless him. Still have to check out the videos on Joey’s page. Poor Dolly. I know when strange workmen come into the home it upsets the furkids. I got tears in my eyes watching little Faith and her Freedom Wheels. Her little tail never stops wagging. What a little doll! Awww…God bless the spaniel and the pointer. Absolutely, I pray they get a wonderful home full of love. Have a good wee. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Cute videos on Joey’s page! They posted a new one involving a deer and a dog in a stream. The dog is looking for the perfect rock and the deer is playing all the while. Cute!
Hugs, Kathy.

Forgot to mention Pearl Harbor Day yesterday. My Mom’s oldest brother went right down and joined the navy like so many did. Last night there was a program on by John Ford and the Navy about December Seventh. I never remember reading any of that information and I can’t help but wonder if it was truth of propaganda. Terry you are so well informed could you help me out with some of your insightful knowledge? I would be happy to hear from anyone because this disturbs me.
Also, any predictions about how tall Coz is likely to be?

This may have been answered, but does anyone know who the other 2 horses are in the photo of Zenny with the snow mustache? I’m thinking that the mare in the middle might be Life Is Sweet.
