Happy Wednesday!
As you may know, we were in Kentucky last week visiting Zenyatta, 14Z, and Ziconic. We posted photos from Lane’s End on Instagram and Facebook throughout the week, and we were happy to see so many of you following!
It still felt like summer in Kentucky, and we arrived to a beautiful full moon. We brought lots of pears, carrots, and mints with us and spent time with the horses every morning and afternoon.
This trip was extra special because Jeanne, April, and Jackie from Mayberry Farm were in town for the yearling sale. They were thrilled to spend time with us at Lane’s End and to meet Ziconic and Z Princess for the first time. It won’t be long before Ziconic goes to their the farm in Ocala for training.
Scroll down to see more photos from our visit. One of our favorites is available in the shop today!
Today’s post is dedicated to Street Cry, who will live on through Zenyatta, her children, and champions around the world.
Enjoy!

What a wonderful Wednesday afternoon surprise. Thank you so much to Ann, Jerry and all the Zenyatta team. What special pictures of The Queen and her prince and princess.
A real treat each time I see the love and caring that Ann has with her girl. Wish all horses had someone to love and care for them as Zenyatta and the royal family have.
I thought Z Princess did not have the Roberto ears but in some of these photos she seems to have some pretty large ones.
Zi takes the breath away he is so beautiful. Hope he makes the trip to Florida safe and sound and enjoys learning to be a race horse. The Mayberrys better watch out, I think he could be a handful.

Zenyatta is as stunningly beautiful as ever and I am delighting in her progeny! Absolutely in love with Coz, Ziconic, and ZPrincess! Such lovely photographs – trying to decide what to order – it’s always tough for me to decide – I have prints that need to be hung in my home. Thank you so much for sharing and for dedicating this post to Street Cry – it saddened my heart today that he passed, but what a legacy he has left behind! We must rejoice in it. Blessings to you and may you come visit again soon! Much love!

Great photos of great subjects. I felt like I shared in the moment and got the same chills I did when I met Zenyatta at Churchill. Thank you Team Z for sharing this special horse.

Thank you Team Z for the fantastic pictures of Zenyatta, Ziconic, and Princess Z. Also, thank you for the thoughtful dedication of this post to the great Street Cry. When I look at Zenyatta and her family, I see some of Street Cry in each of them. He has left a great legacy in his daughter and grandchildren. Seeing the beautiful pictures of Lane’s End and the Z family (human and horse) has brightened an other wise sad day. So kind of the Z Team to share the adventures of the Zenyatta Family with all the Z fans!

Dear Team Z and Kyle A:
Thank you for the wonderful photos of Z, ZI and Z Princess. Bet the Mayberrys can’t wait to start training ZI and also Z Princess. Lovely that you dedicated this post to the magnificent Street Cry. Thank you once again for including us in the life of Z and her babies. So very much appreciated. Love and Hugs, JB

Very sad to hear about Street Cry – saw the post on Twitter when it was posted the first time. Rushed to Bloodhorse to see what happened and it wasn’t even there yet. To find out that he had to be put down was not a good thing to hear. Z and her family keep her sire alive in coming generations. He’s well represented. Would have been nice to have a few more years of foals from him, but, alas that is not to be.
Nice to see the family all doing well and their visitors too! Can’t wait to see each of them racing. Have a good day.

It always makes me so happy to how Zenyatta and her babies are so loved.

I love all the pictures of Queen Z and her babies. I love Z so much. I am happy and looking forward to the new baby. She is healed and has had a year to be just a horse. I think it will be born in 2016 I guess depending on when she will be bred. I know she has good owners and is so happy. That makes me happy.

Love seeing Zenyatta and her Beautiful Children once again. They all are so Beautiful and look so happy and soon Zen’s children will all be leaving her for the racing scene. Time goes by so fast and it seems not long ago Zenyatta was just starting her retirement. Zenyatta stays ever so Beautiful and is loved by all. So sorry to hear about Zenny’s Daddy Street Cry but he will always be remembered through Zenyatta and her Beautiful Children. Will be looking forward to see them as they start their racing careers. Thanks so much for posting all these beautiful pictures of the family as they are very much appreciated indeed. Love to all and especially my sweet Zenyatta. Will be waiting to see the next pictures.

Where do I begin…first of all, I am saddened to hear of Street Cry’s passing. But he gave us the gift of Zenyatta and his legacy will live on for decades to come. My condolences to those who loved and cared for this grand horse. Then there are the fabulous pictures of Zenny and her equine and human family. Whenever I see The Queen and Ann together I get all misty eyed…they have a unique bond which jumps out from every photo of them. Finally, Zi and Z Priness are just gorgeous beyond words!
Thank you to the Mosses and all of Team Z for sharing them with us. It’s great to see the Mayberry’s at LE, too. They must be so anxious to have Ziconic coming to their farm in the near future.

Very excited today to read of Coz’s first work and the possibility that he will run as a two year old. He has grown into a stunning looking horse. But, my true love is Ziconic. How can his breeding miss on the track? May the racing gods look down on all in this family of horses. Thank you for sharing them with us, as you do.
Debbie

Beautiful photos and so happy to see Zenyatta having such a full and wonderful life. Anne and Jerry Moss – the Gods are smiling upon how much you love your horses. It’s the best part of the story, really. How patience, love and good people helped to make a late blooming filly grow into all that she could be. And have a happily ever after. That’s all come true. Congratulations on making quality happen with love and effort. I am really proud of the story because it sets an example of how it should be done.

Thank you so very, very much Jerry and Ann. Such a spectacular mare, with adoring and faithful fans, is continuing in her next leg of her great contribution to the Horse; and your efforts with Lane’s End are such a major part in this fantastic contribution to racing and Equine interests. Thank you, thank you, thank you! All our hopes and dreams are on the best wishes for continued legacy through Zenyatta’s colts and filly!
