In case you haven’t already heard, Coz worked out today. He went 4 furlongs in 50.40 handily. I had to laugh when I read about a possible conversation between Arrogate, Gun Runner and Mind Your Biscuits on their flight home. I/d sure like to be a fly on the wall for that one. Anyway hope that makes your evening. Good Night Zenny, Z17, Coz, Ziconic, Everyone on Team Z and all Zsters everywhere plus any of the other race horses out there especially ones that may be nursing an injury. Speaking of which that means you too Hovis. May you all sleep beautifully.

Few sounds in nature are harsh. Even the rolling thunder that rumbles across the sky has solemn beauty. The wind makes whistles in the treetops and wild birds warble like rivulets of water that make harps among the shallows. The frenzied crash and blare come from man. The woods comfort with their sounds. A tiny yellow warbler with black wings sits in the redbud tree and makes the sound of an astral flute, a clear call for peace and harmony. If the bird wants a tranquil place-how much more we need it. A wet-weather spring feeds the ground from beneath, giving ferns moisture and life. In the rainy season the water flows and the delicate fronds mingle with the water creating a swishing sound. Surely we can absorb the serenity to heal and soothe our souls.

By Steve Andersen DRF 03/28/2017
Unique Bella, the leading 3-year-old filly in the nation, has been taken out of training with a shin injury and will miss scheduled starts in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks on April 8 and the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs on May 5, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said on Tuesday.

Get well baby girl. She is beautiful. Rest, rest , rest!
Dear Judy, I have a stress fracture with my foot. Been hobbling around for days. Finally had to go to Dr. I feel like Chester from Gunsmoke. He put me in a special shoe yesterday. Think it stems from an old foot injury. A broken bone from years ago in my foot. I have been running up and down the stairs lately like a l5 year old. Guess it caught up with me. The Dr. yesterday came back in the room yesterday and told me to stay off the stairs. He told me to take the elevator. He knows where our elevator is at. I guess I forget we have one. Gotta listen to him now. I’ll laught about it when I get better.
Take care of yourself.
Here’s a little treat about Gun Runner. You can never count out a chestnut. I’m looking forward to seeing him race again. Like this guy.
Thanks Judy, You know its just hard to break down sometimes and make yourself go to the Dr. Had to yesterday. Glad I went before I caused more damage. Geez.

Dear Judy B; Thank you; this article was very interesting. It is nice to see that Man O War still exists within the pedigrees. After a while, I must admit, I get some what confused. ha WOW! Happy Birthday Man O War.
Was just reading something about some of our greatest horses. It is said that the Great Citation was afraid of owner Lucille Markeys Terrior, Timmy Tammy. Seems Timmy Tammy liked to nip at Citation’s feet. I can just picture this little terror getting after Citation. Too cute.
Dear Judy, I have never had a terrior, but am hearing people tell horror tales about these little rascals. Poor Citation. Citation did live a pretty long life so I hope he held his own with TT. Love the name Timmy Tammy.
Nothing ever remains quite the same-but a time comes when we have to follow new guidelines and think new thoughts and do new things. It does not take a superhuman, but it does take a believer-a worker with ears to hear and eyes to see-not just the physical but the spiritual. We cannot take for granted that any other human can have accurate perception and spell things out for us. The miracles are not all in other heads, other hands, other methods. There must be a burst of inner fire that sparks a miracle, that opens a door to a greater life, a greater calm. We are never so blind as when we close ourselves off by our critical views, our hardened hearts, our failure to perceive the greatness of gentle things. O friend, look away from lack and need and pain. Alter your vision and it will alter life.
O great blue sky; see me roaming here. I trust in you, protect me!

Hi again, Zenyatta and everyone else. That was so sweet. I think that was from you, BBG. But I can’t remember everyone else’s contributions—and don’t to want to forget a name. So, THANKS, ALL. Brings a smile to my face, just thinking of them. And Max, I got a big kick out of your Horses on a Plane. Very clever!
Now for my contribution: in today’s USA Today’s crossword, 24 down clue: Nyquist, in 2016. Answer: Derbywinner. (No blank spaces.) No other racing clues in puzzle. It’s a hodgepodge of clues. Anyway, that made me smile, too. (And yes, I “got it” right away!) (Makes you wonder who they’ll have for a clue next year. At this point, I don’t have a clue, crossword or otherwise. )
Okay, Zenyatta, take good care of yourself. We’re all watching and waiting. Your fame just continues to grow. So well deserved! :-)
