We held a special gathering at John Sherriffs’ Santa Anita barn to share and sign copies of Zenyatta’s Hall of Fame plaque. It was a wonderful reunion of Zenyatta’s human family—Ann, John, Dottie, jockey Mike Smith, and groom Mario Espinoza were among those in attendance. Each person received a plaque signed by the rest of the team, and Coz and Ziconic whinnied in approval.
Enjoy!

Thanks for always sharing Zenyatta with us! I still get emotional watching her races. I think I always will.

How special! Our girl is the best! I am loving all the pictures of her that keep popping up on facebook from her loving fans. We were use to seeing her on TV, and now that a few years have passed since her retirement, when those pictures of her pop up it really reminds me of how very impressive and fantastic and extraordinary she looked. She’s fabulous now, of course, and I would LOVE to be able to see her, but the pictures of her while she was in John’s barn make me look at her in awe every time. Enjoy all your moments and memories given by your special-special horse.

How beautiful!! This warmed my heart and brought back such wonderful memories of Zenyatta’s racing days! I would love to see bracelets made out of Zenyatta’s tail in the shop (hint, hint)! Or as an auction item at the event for Breeders Cup weekend! (I hope you are doing that again!!)
Rita
Such a very deserving team. Congratulations to Team Z! Ziconic and Coz are looking beautiful!

Oh how special to see Z’s famous team together. I am glad Z is retired, is happy, and never was hurt when racing. But, I have not felt such excitement in racing since her. Now she brings happiness in her retirement. I love to see or hear anything about Zenyatta. Ann and Jerry Moss are wonderful to share her with us. That is awesome the bracelet made from her tail.

Hello to Ann, John & Dottie, Mario and Mike:
Wow, what a wonderful surprise to see all these great pictures. All of you look exactly the same as you did when Zenny was at Barn 55. All of you look wonderful!!! Great photos of Zenny’s kids too!!
I was up at Saratoga over the summer and saw Zenny’s plaque, and the flag outside the museum with her name on it. It was awesome. What a proud moment for all us fans. Reading her plaque brought back so many wonderful memories of the thrills she gave us during her racing days.
I hope to see some of you, if not all of you, at the Breeder’s Cup.
Ann, and Team Z: I really appreciate all that you do with keeping us fans informed for all these many years. Thank you! I don’t come to the site as often as I would like, but when I do, I always enjoy catching up on the news of how Zenny is doing and the goings on at the farm. It is so wonderful that we can feel like we are a part of her life.
With so much love to all of you.
Love,

Thank You Ann, John & Dottie, Mario and Mike, what a memorable special time together, and more importantly to us fans, for sharing these moments with us! Coz and Ziconic both are looking particularly beautiful and have matured into 2 gorgeous stallions, giving their mother such an honor. We are all hoping and praying each colt finds his niche and garners a few wins to their credit, both are so very, very capable. Thank you again Team Z, it truly brought out much emotion for me. Blessings, Mary.

October 27 Cherokee Devotional
Be quiet and refuse to talk about your trouble. Stop and be grateful-just say how grateful you are and there will be more for which to be grateful.
We were given the ability to count our blessings or good fortunes, but instead we count all the wrong things. Sure, there are experiences in life that aren’t the best, but we are not supposed to give them glory. Bad experiences, hurts, and all the feelings that go with them will diminish us if we let them. When we keep telling everyone about them, we leave no room for happiness or contentment. If all the space is taken up with what is wrong, how can we grow and become good? How can we see beauty? How can we see anything to love?
Stop thinking about trouble. Start giving thanks and rest easily knowing that any pain you have is being dissolved.

Dear Kathy,
Outstanding devotional! Thank you so much for posting these uplifting and inspirational
words.
We must remember to count the blessings and be grateful — the glass is half full, not half empty.
