We held a special gathering at John Sherriffs’ Santa Anita barn to share and sign copies of Zenyatta’s Hall of Fame plaque. It was a wonderful reunion of Zenyatta’s human family—Ann, John, Dottie, jockey Mike Smith, and groom Mario Espinoza were among those in attendance. Each person received a plaque signed by the rest of the team, and Coz and Ziconic whinnied in approval.
Enjoy!

Anybody but O’Brien. I’m hoping for Wicklow Brave.
sheena.davies(wales)
LOL!!
sheena.davies(wales)
Wicklow has been having a great time out in Australia. He has a great chance too.So many memories of Red Cadeaux’s injury last year. When I think of the life he could be enjoying at Living Legends…Sad.
Max
O’Brien had four horses running today in the Criterium, but Andre Fabre still won with Waldgeist.
Bobby Frankel is hanging on to that record. Hope that he keeps it.
Max
I looked up the stories again about Red’s death last year in the Melbourne Cup. That was a terrible loss. He was a great chestnut.

Harmony, think harmony, and never react to criticism. Most people believe they know what you are all about, but they do not. Disraeli told us it is much easier to be critical than it is to be correct. Remember that when you face the criticism of others- and when you are ready to criticize someone yourself. It is best never to criticize others.Give others the respect you expect for yourself.
With the help of the Spirit, we have reached a ripe old age.

SANTA ANITA STABLE NOTES
BY ED GOLDEN – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30, 201
CLASS IS NEVER OUT WITH ESPINOZA, CHROME
Victor Espinoza has been down this road before. Kentucky Derby wins, Breeders’ Cup wins, even a Triple Crown victory.
Come Saturday, the 44-year-old future Hall of Famer goes for the gold with California Chrome, a fairytale horse the gods have smiled upon again and again. Espinoza has ridden the five-year-old California-bred son of Lucky Pulpit 18 times in his 24-race career, all in a row, winning 13, the last six consecutively.
Can they do it one more time in the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday?

Dear Max.Mullins is debating when to unleash Douvan I heard rumours he was thinking of trying the King George but it seems to me he will go down the 2 mile route.I knew you’d be pleased about Aidan.Frankel’s boys missed out too.I have just been watching a wonderful video of CC arriving in SA he was having fun with Alan’s cap.He looks in superb condition.Oh,how I fear for Found.
Max
The winning Waldgeist is a handsome chestnut son of Galileo. Ironically Coolmore connections are a part of his ownership. Good for Fabre. He also gave us Flintshire.
I’m worried too for Found. She should be munching on oats and staring at the sky on vacation in Ireland. She’s raced and won enough this year. If the Arc isn’t good enough proof of her excellence, what is?
sheena.davies(wales)
I quite agree with you she won one of the greatest turf races in the world why ask more of her?
Max
It’s also a difficult race. Most horses take a lot of time to recover from the Arc. Some don’t like Nijinsky and leave it on the track. It’s the end of their career. No turf horse has won the Classic except Raven’s Pass, and that win was on synthetic. Some however have come close. We’ll soon know.
Lori Stein
So happy to see the boys!!

Maragh Back to Racing at Aqueduct
By BloodHorse Staff October 30, 2016
After a 2015 spill kept him away from racing for nearly 16 months, jockey Rajiv Maragh is set to make his long-awaited return Nov. 4, opening day of the Aqueduct Racetrack fall meet.
The 31-year-old Jamaica native is named to ride the Bobby Ribaudo-trained Questeq in the sixth race, a 2-year-old maiden event for New York-breds on the turf. It will be his first mount since suffering several broken vertebrae, a broken rib, and a punctured lung in a racing accident July 10, 2015 at Belmont Park.

Once we have been afraid of something, it is easy to feel that fear again. It hangs in the back of the mind like an insect caught in a swinging fragment of spider web. Although the same experience may not come again, even the possibility of it terrorizes us.
Fear is the magician’s wand that stirs the brew of all our negative feelings. Because fear is so powerful, we learn early on to push it out of sight so we do not have to handle it. But pushing fear out of sight does not resolve it. Instead, we need to acknowledge our fear and then handle it with words of faith, Tell fear you won’t tolerate its distorting your emotions. Telling feat that it is unacceptable can bring a quiet balance. Say it often enough, and you eliminate the very makings of fear.

Dear Kathy.I feel too old to follow my sheep now and we half a lot of sheep in Wales!!
Someone should really tell Hillary and Donald to give up Mr Fibbs has already planned his victory party! Her Majesty is thinking of sending Dartmouth out to Hong Kong.Everyone was enjoying the parade before the Melbourne cup.I saw Subzero’s race for the first time.I lost interest in racing after daddy died but somehow always watched the Grand Nationa. It as wet when Subbie. It’s very mild here today but all change midweek with frosty nights.Boy, I had a late night”The English Patient” didn’t end until around 3am and today is Monday as well not good!Peeps are getting worried about Theba not posting very strange and still no news from Fubu.Everyone as touched at the reaction of Jessica when she found out Ballyoptic was safe after his crashing fall at Wetherby. One of Nigel TD’s horses. It afforded us a glimpse of the bond between horse and carer.I cannot wait for Mulins big guns to begin their season.Lisa is doing so well since her op.There was a video about a hunter’s dog called Julian who know has a lovely home.Viktor said most hunters shoot their dogs at the end of the season. How sick is that??I suggested they shoot themselves instead!Poldark was his smouldering best last night.Lovely photos of Ray and Jack O.There was a blog up on the Dyfi about the online shop. They are starting off small but will expand.Remember to turtle.Have a good day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Would that we could elect Fibbs! So much going on with all the races and news from the horsesWow…3:00 AM. I don’t think I would be able to stay awake! I’m worried about Theba, too. Also Fubu. I pray Ballyoptic will be fine. So thankful Lisa is doing well. That poor little dog! So glad Julian has a wonderful home. That horrifies me to read that most hunters shoot their dogs! Glad you enjoyed Poldark last night. Yes, Ray and Jack O are a joy. I hope the Dyfi makes a lot of money in their online shop. I’ll turtle as much as possible today. You do the same. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
