BGG,
Thanks for the post. What a handsome family. George and Charlotte are being allowed to be regular kids as much as possible it seems. England should be very proud of them.
Oh my Goodness!! I loved that video and all the photos. What beautiful children they are and I was struck by how much Princess Charlotte looks like the Queen! Maybe that is just to my eyes, but it was delightful to me. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for posting this link. The children are absolutely adorable — a very lovely family.

The past is ripe with wisdom and knowledge-if we are willing to reflect on it. Reflection brings to the heart all the reasons for things we did not understand earlier. Search among your memories for the sharp places that hurt so much that you buried them, as though in a grave.
Long ago shame whispered to you to hide your painful memories; now wisdom invites you to use them for good. Once you thought it was important to keep these experiences hidden-but no longer. Free yourself by taking those old humiliations and use them like keys to open your treasure boxes for a more beautiful and healthy life. A poet once wrote that the past is nothing but a bucket of ashes. But remember, the phoenix-elegant, beautiful, and powerful-rises from the ashes of past into the fullness of the present. You, too, can rise from the past and live fully now.
No man should seek to destroy the special genius that race ancestry give him.

Sheena,
Thanks for our Friday Hovis. Poor guy being starved by him mom. Tell him his Kentucky girlfriend, 2 year old filly, Dawn the Destroyer, won the 4th at Churchill yesterday! Perhaps they can email or FB each other.
Hovis never fails to entertain. He was sure he misunderstood when he thought Mum said she would sell her soul for a normal-sized horse! I imagine a saddle that would fit Hovis would tend to be on the pricey side! TGIF, everyone. Safe trip for all horses and jockeys running this weekend.
Thanks for our weekly Hovis! Poor guy — a proper saddle is important for such a handsome specimen. Hope they find one soon that also meets with Mum’s specifications, too. ?
Dear Kathy.Poor Hovey I completely forgot it was Friday this morning I know I was late getting up but…..I loved the part about the flexion test and that he would have had Karen pts!!Remember who loves you best Hovey!
I have always said the past makes us what we are. There are so many who ridicule we were once an empire and it annoys me.Postponed and Harzand have got excellent draws in the Arc 7&6 respectively but Order of St George is drawn 16 I think.Postponed is a firm favourite now and ground promises to be good.Ray’s white blood count is low so the chemo was cancelled today.I messaged Cheryl last night..Hope all will go well next week now. It’s nice to see some sun but much cooler this weekend.Gosh peeps put in some mean comments for our royals why don’t they all go and live in a republic instead of insulting them.Somebody said Charlotte was dressed like an evacuee my mother dressed me the same and I was no evacuee. She has my colouring and I had hair styled the same when I was about 2.They are lovely children and have no idea they are royal yet so give them a break.my friend Manthlet is in Malta for the weekend for a friend’s birthday she is posting some photos of the hotel.Wow,how the other half live. The father owns the place and most of the restaurants in Saint Julian!Judy should be home soon I hope she can find a good home foe Jade. She some lovely flowers yesterday.I heard about the school shooting in South Carolina only 14yrs old and killed his dad one of the children is critical. So sad.Even Nick Clegg had to admit Cats rule in Downing Street.Larry has over 95000 followers now.Now to visit the rest of the furbabies.I was watching a video of some guys rescuing a little black kitten and he survived!I have’nt visited Viktor yet to see how Missy’s surgery went.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
I’ll have a weird day today. Memorial service for a woman who worked in the library system I work in. Had been retired only about 2 1/2 months. I had dinner with the woman and a couple of other friends from work only about a week and a half before she died. So sad. Then I have a Pilates session at noon. All my best to all the horses and jockeys running over the weekend. I worry so about Ray. I know the chemo is so hard on him, but he needs it to get well. That’s pretty low to make mean comments about Prince George and Princess Charlotte. I don’t see anything wrong with the way they’re dressed. They look adorable to me. Wow, lucky Manthlet! Wish we were there, too! I feel so bad for Judy. Best wishes for her recovery and fingers crossed she finds a suitable home for her beloved Jade. Can’t believe I’ve been without my precious Holly for 6 months now. The wound is still there, Sheena. I will always carry my Angel in my heart. Horrible, the shooting in SC. Every few days we get another shooting story. Madness rules. Congratulations to Larry on all those followers! Have a wonderful day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Thanks BGG for the photos and videos of the Royals. They are simply charming.
I live In B. C. and while I haven’t seen them in person,I have heard nothing but positive remarks about them. Over and over you hear how William and Kate make people comfortable and are so easy to talk to and so friendly. I loved the party with the children, Charlotte looked so sweet and clearly loves animals. The dog called Moose was a big hit with her. George loved the bubble maker and his smile lights up his face. What a lovely family, down to earth and very caring with eachother and the people they meet.
Zenny, love your big stretch (wish I was that flexible) and pawing with excitement when the food truck arrived. Send love and kisses to you and your little one getting ready for the world.
RIP Indiana Bay, deaths on the track and injuries sustained there are heart breaking.
We need to do more to make sure that only healthy, drug free horses run.
When their racing days are over they deserve proper care and love, retraining when possible and help to find a forever home.
A stable close to home takes horses off the track and so many people are happy with these beauties- shining in many areas from eventing to pleasure horses and companion horses who appreciate their new life. It takes time and patience, each one saved is a step in the right direction.
Dear Debbie.Very well said. These beautiful horses sometimes give their lives so we can be entertained. They deserve to be well cared for after their racing careers are over.We have many good owners over here and some not so good.A lot go on to great 2nd careers such as our most famous racehorse Mad Moose who now enjoys life in Yorkshire. This is how it should be for ALL.Sheena
You are so right, Debbie Sutherland. Where would the owners and trainers be without the horses. Some respect is in order. The Mosses stand out for doing what they all should do.
Dear Judy; This is the so called justice of the modern world.Where on earth is Maria Borell? An eye for an eye I have always believed.A man over here in the UK only got fined for leaving 3 dogs in a car on a warm day for 5 hours and as you must realise they would have had a dreadful end and he gets away with murder in my opinion!!Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX.

I too love Afleet Alex and follow his babies. I am extremely sad to hear this news about Materiality. As you know I sent emails inquiring about him and never had a reply. Rest In Peace beautiful boy.
I am glad that Exaggerator is getting some well deserved R & R.

Dear Shirlee. So glad your mother had a wonderful birthday and you made the trip.I had heard about Exaggerator on one of our FB’s and am happy he’s getting some rest at Winstar.Hugs Sheena.

Very sorry about Materiality — sounds a bit off to me. Whatever happened to him, I hope he didn’t suffer. I do hope he was loved. RIP Materiality, beautiful boy — way too young.
Glad that your mother enjoyed her birthday and of course, the cake and ice cream, too!
Happy to hear that your back and hip behaved and didn’t cause problems, also.

I agree, shocking that Borell was given such a light punishment, the message is that the horses don’t matter and how can change happen with that attitude.
On a better note, kudos to the Stronach Group for installing surveillance videos at Santa Anita to monitor all the stables and protect the horses.
Dear Shirlee
I am happy that your mother had a great celebration to mark her amazing 100th birthday and that you returned home safely.
So very sad to hear about your boy Materiality, gone too soon. He knows you cared and didn’t give up to find him-only wish you had good news instead.
The racing gods might be sending a message. Giggi had the odds on favorite in Road to Riches. One of their other horses in the race, Devils Bride, was recently removed from Mullins. Elliot’s Giggi horse was even farther down. Shorty said that Bally was jumping like a young buck. He toyed with them and beat them well. He looked really good too in his gray coat. More power to you, Mullins.
Thanks for the link! Ballycasey, what a gorgeous horse! Two and one half miles, got to love and respect that.
Congratulations to Bally and connections.

Elliot’s Giggi horse was even farther down. Shorty said that Bally was jumping like a young buck. He toyed with them and beat them well. He looked really good too in his gray coat. More power to you, Mullins.

Max,
Thanks for the link! Ballycasey, what a gorgeous horse! Two and one half miles, got to love and respect that.
Congratulations to Bally and connections.
