WoIntl: Pattison Canadian International Contenders VIDEO
Woodbine Racing Published on Oct 13, 2016
Here’s a look at your 2016 Pattison Canadian International contenders! Join us Sunday, October 16th at Woodbine Racetrack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxyimRyrWbE
Note: Nice race footage of all including Dartmouth & The Pizza Man
This is my favorite Canadian International winner. If you want to see greatness, this is it.
This horse won on any surface and in all weather conditions, including sleet and snow. Just let him roll. Secretariat.
Thank you Max, first time I’ve seen this video. Secretariat was a great horse owned by the first lady of racing
Max
His win margin of 6.5 lengths is still the widest in that race. He was the best. Must be part Canadian from being around Lauren and Turcotte to win like that in sleet and 38 degrees. Secretariat probably understood French.
A belated Happy Birthday, Ann
And many more!
I thought Woodbine did a great job in this pre-race video.
Gave an up close look at the European horses
And, a nice opening shot of the Queen.
Hugs, BGG
Ann NC
Thank you.
Great video introducing us to those handsome guys. Loved it!
Congratulations to Ryan Moore once again the no 1 jockey in the world.Aidan was named top trainer and Coolmore top owners but more importantly Galileo is the champion stallion .
Jonjo O’Neill celebrated his 2000th winner as a trainer today when Centuro won due to the incredible misfortune of Red Hot Chilly (saddle slipped off and so did jockey)I will always remember Don’t Push it winning the Grand National for him and AP in 2010.The horse who had sheep as friends! And there was his beloved Synchronised who won the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2012 and tragically died in the National the following month.I will always remember him bolting at the start but he was caught and thoroughly examined by the course vet but who knew what was going on in his mind.We were all heartbroken.Wel done to Jonjo who will always be associated with the mighty mare Dawn Run.
Dear Judy:I hear Maggie Smith has signed up to make the “Downton Abbey” film.Racing should be great on Saturday.Jim Crowley is our champion jockey he started his career over the fences.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Thank you, thank you, thank you my sweet friends for the birthday wishes.
It was a gorgeous, blue sky day and the start of our State Fair….so, that was my birthday wish. Food, family, friends and fun, plus lots of critters! Baby pigs and kids showing baby goats…precious.
The icing on the cake will be this weekend from Woodlawn…WOW! Talk about some great racing, can’t wait!
Danish Dyno is choppin’ at the bit…..bring him home safe and sound Big D.
Love to all.
Sounds like a wonderful day you had, neighbor Ann! I hope to get to the State Fair soon. What great weather for the fair, too — nothing can beat October Blue Skies.
Sorry, I’m late checking in, but have a good night and continue the celebration for at least a week! ? ?
Thanks neighbor.
Free horse shows at the fair. The mini pony show is always my favorite and the Palominos and the….love all of them! Enjoy!
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Ann,
Yes, I enjoy the horse shows, too. After I walk around the fairgrounds awhile and the crowds start to squeeze me, I always go over to the horse complex to sit down and chill-out. It is sooo relaxing, and I get recharged! Love to watch whoever is in the ring. I feel as though I am at home there since friends of mine had two daughters who used to compete (4H’ers) in the hunter events. They have both grown up now and are pursuing graduate degrees so no more horse shows — I have missed those wonderful years.
I got to go to the fair today; boy, am I weary now! I was looking forward to hitting the little restaurant in the Jim Hunt Horse Complex as I usually do, but it had to be re-located due to construction. Maybe next year! Of course, I did have my State Fair hotdog earlier so I wasn’t starving! It was nice day.
There was a slight incident with the boss lady in a fieldAuntyEm continues with Hovis’fitness regimed! And he tells us all about taking part in the Wobbleberry challenge. He was hoping to Ben Hobknob to ride him but oh no it’s got to be mother!!! Help!!It’s all to raise money for cancer research in memory of Hannah Francis who died in august aged 18yrs old.Safe trips to all horses and jockeys at champions day at Ascot tomorrow and our Welsh champion hurdle at Flos Las. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/blog/hovis-friday-i
Thank you for our Hovis update. He looks so handsome all saddled up. Well done, Hovis and Mother, for their tribute to Hannah in the cause to find a cure for Cancer. RIP Hannah.
Godspeed to all horses this weekend here and across the pond; safe and sound. Love and Hugs, JB
Life is like a fresh spring that flows strong and clear-and then puddles in those hard-to-cross places. The spring catches debris and sometimes it is easily riled-but it can clean itself and move on.
Sometimes we clog the spring of our lives with fear, weariness, and a faith that is so shaky it cannot sustain us when we need it most. Doubt clings like a cloud on an autumn day, and we question if we are supposed to do anything worthwhile. But remember the spring that cleans itself and moves on. We can do the same. How? Throw out worry and take up a new life, the same way you bite into a fresh fall apple. Taste the tangy sweetness and let the juices run where they will. Look at a singe flower and revel in its perfection and fragrance. Give yourself the gift of freedom-for one hour, one day, one lifetime. It only takes a beginning. Why not begin now?
You will have to dig down through the soil to find nature’s earth. The upper part is Crow.

A very nasty incident in Essex a baby boy aged 4 months has been mauled to death by a staffie. His little brother has life changing injuries. The owner was a WPC I am not sure if she was the mother Essex police are not saying. The dog has been euthanised.Very sad for the family.Frankel’s filly by Finsceal Beo has moved to trainer Jeremy Noseda she is called La Figlia.
There is something nasty going on with FB I saw the comment on Rupert’s page yesterday. If you were to comment on one of my posts or vice versa some vulgar comment could be inserted and it wouldn’t be seen by the sender.Manthlet was dining with her Sebastian parrot last night at L’Escargot. She loves vintage clothes.

Spring is my favorite season, too! I think you have the right idea to hibernate in the winter. Loved Cirrus’ photo on your FB page. He’s so gorgeous. Best wishes to all horses and jockeys competing this weekend. As you say, Hovis’ Mum is no wimp! Horrible story out of Essex. So tragic! Really like that name…La Figlia! Wow…that whole FB nastiness is awful! Manthlet is a very colorful character! Hope she and her parrot enjoyed their dinner. Wonderful news that Wimbley is so much better. Yes, it’s the Cubs vs the Dodgers. I love Zoe so much, I’m kind of rooting for her team! Wow, sounds like a very sticky situation in Thailand! Happy Friday, Sheena. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Today is the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings the last time this sceptr’d isle was invaded.William of Normandy was said to have visited his cousin the childless Edward the confessor in 1051 and was promised the throne of England but on his deathbed Edward changed his mind and Harald was proclaimed King.He was to become the last Anglo-Saxon King and died in the battle.William was crowned King at Westminster Abbey on Christmas Day.The language of the court was French and it blended with the old Anglo Saxon to give us the modern English we speak now.The whole story is recounted on the famous Bayeaux Tapestry. It is one of the supreme achievements of Norman Romanesque and it’s survival over nine long centuries is nothing short of a miracle. It was likely to have been commissioned by William’s half brother Bishop Odo.We do love our history this island may have made mistakes along the way what country hasn’t but I will always be proud to be an inhabitant of Great Britain.Sheena
Dear Judy.Found is,indeed,a very tough horse.Whether she can come back and win a champion after the Arc is a tough ask but she leaves everything on the racecourse and I wish her the best.I watched a video of Almanzor arriving Thursday.Looking good.Love and hugs Sheena.
Dear Zenny and Z Fan Family,
A bit behind. Hope to catch up tomorrow. Praying blessings from Him for everyone.
