October Visit from the Mosses!

Happy Wednesday!

Ann and Jerry recently went to Lane’s End to visit Zenyatta and her colt. They had a blast and were thrilled to see how much 12Z has grown. Alys sent us a video and some photos to share with you.

    One can tell from the photos and video she really misses ya’ll. Momma Z looks great and she still has her step,but if she had her druthers she, i’am sure would rather be closer to the Mosses.Baby Z is growing like a weed, he is going to be a real lady killer,just too god looking for his own good. Thanks again for your photos and the patience it takes too keep our QUEEN coming home to us.

    I have to join in with everyone and celebrate our beloved Zenyatta and her baby Z. Was tickled to see she still has her famous moves and prances! I just watched the Zenyatta Tribute-Heart video on youtube and cried again; I’ve only watched that video about 100+ times! Please tell Alys she takes really great pictures of our girl! Do you think Zenny’s hearing all the buzz from Santa Anita with all the festivities gearing up? Thanks to all for posting the pictures; all her adoring fans just clamor for every picture we can get! Love to you all……

    The picture of Zenny with Charles shows what a POWERFUL STOUT mare she really is. Being a baby mama really agrees with her!!! Always up to her “tricks” she hasnt forgotten how to “dance”. Thanks again for sharing her and baby Z with us!

    Already been two years since she put on one of the most courageous exhibitions in the history of the sport. “Thriller in the Night” showed the world the fire that burned inside this mare! I will never forget that race!

      Oh, I love that title too. Her last race was DEFINITELY a “Thriller in the Night.” What an absolutely awesome performance she gave!!! One I will never forget!! It ranks right up there with the BEST moments of horse racing!!!

    I’m so happy right now to see pic’s and video of our girl. She’s so excited to see Ann and Jerry and she just looks just magnificent! 12Z just gets bigger and bigger, as he should but I wonder if he’ll ever grow into those Zenyatta ears. He sure didn’t get those from Bernie. Thank you Ann, Jerry, Alys and Charles and all the rest of the Lane’s End people for the pic’s and the opportunity to see and keep up with our girl. I love 12Z very much but am always so glad to see Z. I hope we get to continue to keep up with her and her offspring.

    I can’ t quit crying! She is just so beautiful! She looks strong, vibrant and healthy. She also seems happy. And she’s still dancing! I know she was happy to see the Mosses. But I feel she is truly happy at Lanes End. The Prince is a caharacter! He is going to be big and strong and gorgeous just like his mom and Dad.Zenyatta will always have my heart, I miss her terribly, but she seems happy and tht makes me feel good

    Thank you a zillion times over to the Mosses, Alys, and the LE Staff for these absolutely wonderful photos and the video. It’s been a long time since we had a video update. Everyone looks so HAPPY (Including Zenny), and Prince has gotten so big. Do you think he’s having his forelocks “tipped” at the salon? What a great treat for today!
    Can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for tomorrow.

    Awwwwwww….. How cool is this? Love love all the pics but, the one of her dancing took my breathe away. You can really see just how BIG she truly is. I was wondering if she still had the dance moves and I got my answer! Awesome! The Prince looks so relaxed with Ann and Jerry, I think that he’ll have a personality like Mom.
    Thank you so much, this made my Hump day even better. Now, let’s go Giants!!!!

    Oh thank you Ann and Jerry. I love seeing you all with Zenyatta….look at her dancing…..she sure loves you all. She is one happy girl!!! It is nice to see the pictures. Oh my gosh…….I am sitting here smiling as I see these pictures……..and oh to see her dance….. how sweet!!! Again….thank you Ann and Jerry……… you both look so good…….and happy…….. hope all is well with you all. Ann….you can tell Z really has a connection to you….and we can see how happy she makes you……..with that beautiful smile you have when with her.

    Thank you! These are absolutely fabulous photos! You are so cute all together and I am thrilled you had such a wonderful visit with each other! Looks like pears were the treat of the day – yum! The one of you, Ann, and Z12 is just priceless – he is such a cutie. But I have to admit, after all this long time, it brought tears to my eyes to see Zenny still does her dance steps! Talk about being nostalgic.

    I am so looking forward to seeing all of you at the Breeders’ Cup and Zenny’s party and can’t wait for the surprise. All the Z Dumplings going feel like little kids waiting for Christmas morning!

    FRANKEL concluded his remarkable career with another excellent performance, this time rendering multiple Group 1 winner CIRRUS DES AIGLES helpless in the Group 1 Qipco Champion Stakes over testing ground at ten furlongs.
    As I wrote for the “Performance of the Week” feature on DRF PLUS and National Simulcast Weekly, “it is Frankel’s uncanny ability to make very good Thoroughbreds look rather ordinary that has endeared him to millions of racing fans throughout the world. Group 1 winners Excelebration, Immortal Verse, Canford Cliffs, Nathaniel, Treasure Beach, Roderic O’Connor, Helmet, Dick Turpin, Poet’s Voice, Rio de la Plata, Zoffany, Dream Ahead, Wootton Basset, Grand Prix Boss, Pathfork, Casamento, Colour Vision, St Nicholas Abbey, Twice Over, and Planteur all chased Frankel in vain. The latest to be tamed was Cirrus des Aigles, a three-time Group 1 winner who had prevailed in the Champion Stakes in 2011. A 6-year-old with an affinity for soft turf, Cirrus des Aigles was expected to make Frankel work for his money, at the very least. While Cirrus de Aigles was game, he was no Frankel. There aren’t many runners we’ve seen that are of that caliber.”
    Not only did Frankel toy with excellent horses, but he had the uncommon ability to sustain his powerful acceleration over a distance of ground.
    Amazingly, Frankel was never put into a dog-fight. They couldn’t find one good enough to look him in the eye and ask him the question. Ever. That’s the sign of a top-class horse. A horse that, many would say. is among the all-time greats

    Take a peek at the breathtaking last-to-first bid by Frankel in the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes. It only takes a matter of strides for Frankel to settle matters here and, yes, that is future Irish Derby winner Treasure Beach floundering in third.

    Canford Cliffs had won five Group 1 miles in a row and hadn’t lost in over a year prior to facing Frankel in the 2011 Qipco Sussex Stakes.
    In the stretch of the Sussex, Canford Cliffs’ spirit is broken. He drifts badly in the final furlong and never raced again.

    Talk about class. Frankel defeated Excelebration on five different occasions. A three-time Group 1 winner, Excelebration just won the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on October 20 in impressive fashion.

    Frankel won ten Group 1 events, never had a bad day on the racetrack, beat several very good horses and did it from dead-last and from on the lead. He won at distances ranging from seven furlongs to 1 1/4 miles over any kind of going.
    He was dazzlingly perfect.

    Oh my goodness! Our Queen still dances and does that thing with her front leg when she wants attention! How CUTE is that! And 12Z is quite the stunner himself. A HUGE thank you to the Mosses who make sure we get our Zenny fix. We love all the photos and the video…be still our hearts!

    What a feast for our eyes today. Zenny is gorgeous and 12Z is getting bigger every day. Zenny still hasn’t lost her dance moves…she really is one of a kind. I wish LE would have an opening for me. I’d think I died and went to heaven.

    I have often wondered if our Queen still dances. Now we know she hasn’t forgotten the steps. Always brings me joy to see her. Zz hugs to all, DMCQ
